Lin Yufei looked up and blurted out to Ma Tianjiao, "You’ve hit a snag this ti, haven’t you?" Then she hurried after Wan Chu’er.
Outside the dormitory building, she caught up with Wan Chu’er.
"Hey, Wan Chu’er, Chuchu, quickly tell , what terrible thing has Ma Tianjiao done to you?"
"It’s just that at about three or four in the morning, suddenly three sleazy n appeared in the bedroom," Wan Chu’er said lightly.
"What?!" Lin Yufei was instantly dumbfounded. She couldn’t bear to imagine that scene; it was too horrifying!
Seeing Wan Chu’er walking away again, Lin Yufei quickly followed.
"Wan Chu’er, are you alright?"
"If I wasn’t alright, I wouldn’t be here," Wan Chu’er responded indifferently.
Lin Yufei sighed in relief. No wonder she had hit Ma Tianjiao so hard. She deserved it!
Just now, it seed Wan Chu’er had only slapped Ma Tianjiao twice. Compared to what Ma Tianjiao had done to Wan Chu’er, that was nothing.
It’s really true that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Ma Tianjiao always looked like a delicate princess, and I thought she just liked to make a scene. I never expected her to do sothing only the mafia would!
Lin Yufei felt a chill thinking about it. She often bickered with Ma Tianjiao, and it was sheer luck that she hadn’t been targeted for murder by her.
She patted her chest and asked,
"Wan Chu’er, where are you going now? We can’t just let this go. Do you have any evidence? If there’s evidence, we can go straight to the school authorities. Ma Tianjiao is too terrifying; I refuse to share a dorm with her from now on."
Wan Chu’er glanced at Lin Yufei and said, "I’m planning to talk to the counselor about this."
"Then I’ll go with you. I need to make my complaints known to the counselor as well."
The counselor had a single dorm room on campus to facilitate student managent and usually lived at the school.
Wan Chu’er and Lin Yufei quickly found the counselor.
After inviting them to sit, the counselor asked, "What brings you here?"
Lin Yufei nudged Wan Chu’er.
Wan Chu’er found it amusing in her heart. She was going to speak anyway, no need for a nudge.
"Teacher, I just slapped Ma Tianjiao twice in the dorm and ca to report it to you," Wan Chu’er said, astonishing the counselor so much that she opened her mouth wide.
"I’ve never got along with Ma Tianjiao. When I started school last year, she stole my Jade Pendant, but I didn’t make a big deal out of it."
As Wan Chu’er brought this up, the counselor found it amusing. ’Didn’t make a big deal out of it?’ The matter had reached the police. But she didn’t interrupt and kept listening to Wan Chu’er.
"Unfortunately, Ma Tianjiao didn’t appreciate it. Recently, she lost her senses and on Friday night suddenly hired three mobsters to teach a lesson. At three in the morning, the mont I opened my eyes, I saw three sleazy n standing in front of my bed, saying they were hired to beat up."
"Fortunately, I have a strong heart and know a bit of martial arts. I fought with those three n for a while until kind-hearted people ca to rescue . Those three have been handed over to the police, and after interrogation, it was revealed they were hired by Ma Tianjiao to give a lesson."
Both the counselor and Lin Yufei listened in utter shock, but then Wan Chu’er delivered another blow.
"If I wasn’t lucky, maybe I would’ve been raped by now, lying dead at ho."
Lin Yufei took a deep breath, filled with righteous anger, "Teacher, Ma Tianjiao is too terrifying. All of us students in room 409 refuse to continue living with Ma Tianjiao in the sa room."
The counselor took a while to calm down before asking a few more questions and then said, "This matter is too serious, and I can’t make a decision on my own right now. I’ll report it to the departnt leadership imdiately. Rest assured, if it’s true, the school will give you an explanation."
Chu’er and Yu Fei thanked the counselor and left.
After walking a bit, Yu Fei expressed her dissatisfaction, "What’s the point of reporting it? The counselor should have called Ma Tianjiao right away and given her a lecture."
Chu’er raised her eyebrows but did not speak. Her purpose in seeking out the counselor had only been to inform and take preventive action, and obviously, she had already achieved her goal.
This matter couldn’t be blown out of proportion, stirring up storm and gossip across campus. Otherwise, people couldn’t help but speculate whether she had really been admonished. Human nature is sinister—just hearing a scrap of rumor, people would vividly depict it as a colorful movie, as if they had witnessed it with their own eyes.
"Yu Fei, I’m off to the library."
Not wanting to return to the dormitory and deal with Ma Tianjiao again, Chu’er decided to go to the library to read.
The ga she was working on was nearly finished; there were a few problems that needed to be addressed, and she planned to go to the library to look for answers.
Yu Fei looked at her in surprise, "Chuchu, you really are laid back. After such a terrible incident, all you’re thinking about is studying."
Chu’er asked, "Then what should I do?"
After thinking for a mont, Yu Fei said, "You should have a big al to calm your nerves."
Chu’er chuckled, "To , studying is the best way to calm my nerves."
When Jiang Ke Chu ca to Chu’er’s house during lunchti, he found it empty, with a small note stuck to the kitchen door.
"Uncle Jiang, I went to school early to study. Make yourself at ho."
Jiang Ke Chu folded the note, put it in his pocket, and let out a wry smile.
Did he scare the girl yesterday? She’s even hiding out at school now. Well, let her have so ti to think things over.
Jiang Ke Chu stored the food in the fridge and left.
The matters regarding Li Family’s case were getting sowhat troubleso. The Li Family had pulled strings, and he needed to keep an eye on things to prevent them from escaping justice.
Back at the school, Chu’er only returned to the dormitory from the library late at night.
Ma Tianjiao’s belongings were gone; Yu Fei was the only person in the dormitory, as Mai Qi had not returned from ho yet.
When Yu Fei saw her, she imdiately said, "Oh, you’re finally back. There’s been no one in the dormitory, and I had no one to talk to."
"Ma Tianjiao moved out this afternoon; I heard she moved to the fifth floor. If you ask , she should have been expelled, not just transferred to another dormitory."
Chu’er responded with an "oh" and didn’t make much of it. As long as Ma Tianjiao wasn’t in the way, that was fine. The Ma Family probably wouldn’t last long before facing their downfall.
The next day, Mai Qi returned to the campus.
She sat next to Chu’er and whispered, "An Zihao told sothing happened at Li Gang’s house, do you know what’s going on?"
Chu’er glanced at her and said, "I’ll tell you after class."
She hadn’t yet figured out how to explain the incident to Mai Qi, especially since it involved Jiang Ke Chu.
Although Mai Qi was now with An Zihao, Jiang Ke Chu was her crush from childhood to adulthood. She didn’t know what Mai Qi’s current thoughts about Jiang Ke Chu were.
If she heard that Jiang Ke Chu had rescued her, she would surely question why Jiang Ke Chu happened to be the one to save her. Perhaps she would overthink it.
Mai Qi was a good person, and if Chu’er were to lose this friend because of Jiang Ke Chu, she would find it regrettable.
