"Chuchu, wait for ."
Mai Qiqi stepped out of the dormitory building and called out to Wan Chu’er who was walking in front, moving super fast, apparently annoyed by Ma Tianjiao and her daughter.
Wan Chu’er heard Mai Qiqi’s shout and stopped.
Mai Qiqi cautiously looked at Wan Chu’er’s expression but couldn’t make out anything, so she asked:
"Chuchu, are you okay? Don’t listen to the nonsense from Ma Tianjiao’s mom. Our school isn’t ruled by the Ma Family alone, I think her mom is just bluffing, don’t worry."
Wan Chu’er bent her mouth corners towards Mai Qiqi, saying, "Thank you, Qiqi, I’m not upset because of Ma Tianjiao and her mother. I didn’t really care about them, I just didn’t want to hear their noise in the dormitory."
"Really?" After getting an affirmative nod from Wan Chu’er, her expression changed, and she laughed:
"When you spoke just now, it really had montum, I was almost intimidated by you."
"I was just speaking my mind," Wan Chu’er said lightly.
Mimicking Wan Chu’er, Mai Qiqi laughed and said, "If you could throw around a hundred million or two, maybe I’d believe that. Ten or twenty thousand, don’t flash that in front of ."
"Haha, Chuchu, you’re really domineering, a hundred million or two, haha...
I guess Ma Tianjiao’s family probably just runs a small business worth a few million. Their total assets probably don’t even sum up to ten million."
Wan Chu’er smiled and said, "Even a few million is pretty impressive, they’re richer than ."
Unexpectedly, Wan Chu’er would say sothing to boost soone else’s morale, leaving Mai Qiqi a bit stunned. After blinking, she said:
"That’s because you see money as nothing important. If you wanted money, you just could’ve accepted Li Gang’s courtship, his family could easily co up with a hundred million or two."
Wan Chu’er chuckled, tilting her chin towards the front.
Speak of the devil, and he appears.
Li Gang was walking towards them, his face full of joy.
Was what she said during last sester’s vacation no longer effective? Wan Chu’er pondered.
Surprised, Mai Qiqi gasped, smiled, and said, "You should hurry up, I’ll cover for you."
Hearing this, Wan Chu’er had an idea, she blinked and said to Mai Qiqi, "Would you really cover for ?"
"Of course, we agreed on that from the start."
Suddenly, Wan Chu’er cunningly smiled and whispered, "Then I’m going to kiss you, don’t mind it."
Before Mai Qiqi could react, Wan Chu’er pecked her on the cheek with a "smack."
Mai Qiqi was flabbergasted.
And so was Li Gang across them.
Since last year, when Wan Chu’er told him she didn’t like won, only n, Li Gang had been disheartened for a while. After so advice from a friend over the New Year, he thought that was just an excuse used by Wan Chu’er to reject him, thus Li Gang imdiately cheered up again, deciding to pursue Wan Chu’er once more this sester, determined to win her over.
Today, the first day of reporting, he imdiately ca out from the dormitory upon hearing that Wan Chu’er had arrived, planning to confess to her.
He was happy when he first saw Wan Chu’er from a distance, thinking even heaven was helping him.
Just as he was planning to see Wan Chu’er, she appeared before him, and he even planned what he would say in his ardent confession.
But then...
What did he just witness!
Wan Chu’er cheerfully kissed Mai Qiqi.
He heard his own heart break.
Wan Chu’er hugged Mai Qiqi and continued to walk forward, passing by Li Gang, she even whispered, "Keep it a secret, okay."
Li Gang saw his broken heart getting stepped on once again by Wan Chu’er.
Mai Qiqi was dumbfounded, letting Wan Chu’er embrace her and walk on.
The spot on her cheek where Wan Chu’er had just kissed was still burning, and she felt as if she’d been electrified at that mont, shivering.
After turning a corner and out of Li Gang’s sight, Wan Chu’er finally let go of Mai Qiqi.
"Qiqi, thanks for just now."
Wan Chu’er spoke to Mai Qiqi, then noticed her face was beet red, heart skipping a beat: No way.
She hurriedly explained: "Qiqi, I’m sorry, I took advantage of you without your consent.
"Last sester, to reject Li Gang, I told him I only liked won, not n. Just now, in a rush, I kissed you so he would see it."
Upon hearing Wan Chu’er’s words, Mai Qiqi widened her eyes, trembling she asked, "Chuchu, do you really like won?"
Wan Chu’er laughed and patted her, affirming: "I don’t like n or won! I have said I am an advocate for being single, I will not seek love in this lifeti, nor will I marry. My life’s ambition is to strive forever, to conquer the world!"
"Oh," Mai Qiqi breathed a subtle sigh of relief.
The two continued walking, Mai Qiqi couldn’t help but sneak glances at Wan Chu’er, feeling her heartbeat quicken with each look.
This is bad.
Mai Qiqi made an excuse and hurriedly split up from Wan Chu’er.
Watching Mai Qiqi’s escaping figure, Wan Chu’er facepald, what had she done!
As for Li Gang, after that kiss from Wan Chu’er, he was so shocked he couldn’t recover for a long ti.
"Brother, what’s wrong?"
Suddenly, soone clapped Li Gang on the shoulder.
Li Gang slowly turned his head and saw his high school classmate, An Zihao.
An Zihao was quite surprised, seeing Li Gang looking utterly devastated and helpless, he asked, "What’s wrong? Did your Goddess hit you again?"
Li Gang’s crush on Wan Chu’er was common knowledge among many.
Li Gang shook his head in agony, murmuring, "Turns out Wan Chu’er really does like won."
"What?" An Zihao made an exaggerated expression, hit Li Gang lightly, laughing: "Stop kidding around."
"Just now, Wan Chu’er kissed Mai Qiqi right in front of ."
An Zihao staggered, his face turning extrely grim, grabbing Li Gang by the collar he bellowed: "What did you say?"
Li Gang forced a smile and nodded.
"Where did they go?" An Zihao was suddenly enveloped in dark clouds, teeth clenched as he demanded.
Li Gang pointed in the direction Wan Chu’er had left.
An Zihao dashed off imdiately, consud with rage.
On a shady pathway of the campus, Wan Chu’er was bored, regretting her impulsive act.
Then she heard running footsteps, and looked up to see a tall male student storming up to her like a whirlwind, glaring at her with great fury.
Wan Chu’er was sowhat bewildered.
"You just kissed Mai Qiqi?"
Huh? What’s going on?
Wan Chu’er blinked, there was no point in denying it, she nodded.
Then the male student in front of her stord, pointing straight at Wan Chu’er and bellowed, "Why, why did you kiss Mai Qiqi, I haven’t even kissed Mai Qiqi yet!"
