Chi Shuyan imdiately asked Chen ilin what happened.

Chen ilin imdiately recounted the entire incident. She was originally very happy that she had gotten the talismans. Although she still had lingering fears about that evil spirit when she returned ho, she felt quite at ease when she thought of the talismans. As soon as she got ho, she imdiately gave them to her family. Afraid that the evil spirit would harm her daughter, she tied two of the talismans on a red string for her daughter.

She also gave Father ng and Jiang Xue so talismans.

When she first went back, she had been worried about what Master Chi said about the evil spirit coming to her door that night. Who would have thought that would really be the case? It was a good thing she found Master Chi in ti. With these talismans, the evil spirit wasn’t able to retaliate against her family.

Chen ilin originally thought that she would just wait for Master Chi to deal with the evil spirit, but who would have thought that sothing would happen to Father ng first? She didn’t think much of it at first, but Father ng’s behavior had beco increasingly strange over the past few days. In the past, the two of them slept in the sa bed as husband and wife.

Recently, however, Father ng suddenly offered to move to another room. If it was just this, Chen ilin wouldn’t think too much about it and at most might wonder if her husband had a mistress.

One night, however, Father ng suddenly suggested that she not bring the talismans to bed, and just place them next to the bed, which should still keep the evil spirit away. Chen ilin had the sense that sothing wasn’t right, but she couldn’t say exactly why.

At that ti, she was perplexed and didn’t dwell on it. She almost heeded Father ng, but she still had lingering fears about that evil spirit; how could she dare be parted from the life-saving talismans? She naturally shot him down.

Of course, Father ng was sleeping in another room. The more she thought about it, the more uneasy she beca. It wasn’t until last night that she was roused from her sleep by a noise at the door.

At that ti, she woke up, but didn’t make a sound. Hearing the constant noise, she was a little curious but terrified. Fortunately, she was clutching a talisman, which reassured her slightly.

She secretly opened her eyes, and when she did, her heart almost jumped out of her chest in fright. She saw Father ng standing at the door and staring fixedly at her in the dark bedroom.

Chen ilin was so frightened that she broke out in a cold sweat. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that she was scared out of her wits. Her heart turned cold and she almost scread. However, she gritted her teeth and held it in as she closed her eyes and pretended not to know anything.

As Chen ilin related this, her voice kept trembling. She suppressed it and continued, “Master Chi, I… I wonder if… my Old ng… was possessed by that thing?”

Chi Shuyan’s face was a bit grave as she let Chen ilin go on.

“Master Chi, my heart was especially cold and scared at that ti. I had so suspicions. Following that, I realized that as long as I got close to Old ng, the talismans I was carrying would turn black. I even specially looked for the talismans on Old ng, but I didn’t see a single one!”

At that point, Chen ilin choked. “Master Chi, I really wonder now… I really wonder if my Old ng…”?was possessed by the ghost.

“It’s best that you don’t say those words at ho!” Chi Shuyan’s words imdiately silenced Chen ilin. She thought of how she had discovered last night that the girl’s soul had inexplicably disappeared. It was clear that she had underestimated these evil spirits.

Chi Shuyan was afraid that the talismans she gave Chen ilin wouldn’t be able to suppress the evil spirit. She told Chen ilin to be careful and that she would rush over imdiately that afternoon!

Only then did Chen ilin cry tears of joy. “Thank you, Master Chi. Thank you, Master Chi!”

Chi Shuyan said, “Don’t say the words ‘Master Chi’ at ho. When the ti cos, I’ll go over as a relative. Don’t anger that thing!”
