1682 Not Allowed to Marry That Yuan Woman

In the hospital, the Xia family was really in a ss at that mont. Father Xia could still maintain so composure, but Mother Xia looked at the shut door of the operating room and cried non-stop. Her face was deathly pale and the way she cried sounded like she was about to die. She looked at the operating room from ti to ti as she continued to cry miserably.

Xia Mingcheng was annoyed by his mother’s crying, but when he rembered Master Chi saying that she would co over imdiately, he heaved a sigh of relief and comforted her. “Mom, don’t cry. Mingzhen really will be fine!”

When Mother Xia heard her eldest son ntion her youngest son’s na, she wailed even louder, her voice filled with regret. How could she have known? It had only been two days, but the words of the Master whom Mingcheng had invited over before had actually co true. Sothing really did happen to Mingzhen.

If sothing really happened to this child, what should she do?

She was the one who had hard the child. If she had believed the Master whom Mingcheng had invited over, nothing would have happened to Mingzhen now.

The more Mother Xia thought about it, the more she cried bitterly and sounded especially regretful. “Eldest, I regret it so much now. Why didn’t Mingzhen and I listen to the Master back then? Why didn’t Mingzhen and I listen to her advice?”

Mother Xia wailed until her voice was hoarse. Father Xia was especially puzzled and distressed when he heard this. He was about to ask his eldest son what was going on, when Mother Xia suddenly grabbed Xia Mingcheng’s hand and asked anxiously, “Eldest, Eldest, can you still invite that Master over? Can you invite the Master over imdiately and have her save Mingzhen? As long as she’s willing to save Mingzhen, I’m willing to kowtow to her.”

Afraid that Xia Mingcheng wouldn’t agree, Mother Xia’s grip tightened on her eldest son’s hand and she pleaded pitifully, “Eldest, you must save your brother. You must save your brother!”

Xia Mingcheng also knew that his mother had been agitated by what happened to his brother. He imdiately grasped her hand to calm her down, then told her, “Mom, I just called the Master, and she said she’ll be here right away.”

“Okay, okay, okay…” Mother Xia smiled through her tears when she heard this.

Father Xia couldn’t help but suggest, “Why don’t we get Xiao Yuan to co and take a look? I just called her.”

As soon as Father Xia said that, the atmosphere turned deathly silent. Mother Xia and Xia Mingcheng were stunned. Xia Mingcheng hadn’t expected his father to call Yuan Yuan, and the veins on his forehead throbbed.

Mother Xia was no longer as happy as before when she heard the na “Xiao Yuan.” Instead, her expression changed drastically and suddenly turned slack. She had really wanted to matchmake Yuan Yuan and her son before and felt that the two children were especially compatible. If sothing hadn’t suddenly happened to her youngest son, she would never have believed the words of the young lady Master whom Mingcheng had invited over.

But the Master’s words ca true – sothing did happen to her son. Mother Xia no longer dared to not believe the Master. The Master had said that Yuan Yuan and her eldest son’s physiognomies didn’t match, and her eldest would lose his life at the very least, or his family would be ruined at worst. Mother Xia’s face changed drastically when she recalled this. She was so scared that her vision turned black and her soul left her body.

Mother Xia was now unwilling to get close to that Yuan woman, let alone let her marry into the Xia family.

At that mont, Mother Xia gripped her eldest son’s hand tightly and said anxiously and fearfully, “Eldest, Eldest, I was wrong. I was wrong. You can’t marry that Yuan woman. What if sothing happens to you or our family in the future? What will our family do?”

Mother Xia was now afraid that her eldest son would suddenly change his mind and marry that Yuan woman. She spoke incoherently and sowhat forcefully. “Eldest, I won’t allow you to marry that Yuan woman!”

Father Xia was stupefied by Mother Xia’s words. Didn’t his wife talk to him every day about how good Yuan Yuan was? Why did her attitude flip as soon as sothing happened to his youngest son?

Every ti Mother Xia ntioned Yuan Yuan, her tone was as intimate as if she was talking about her own daughter. Father Xia actually wasn’t familiar with Yuan Yuan and didn’t feel much about her. It was only when he heard his wife say that she wanted Yuan Yuan to beco his eldest son’s wife that he paid so attention.

But even so, Father Xia still couldn’t see through the Yuan girl. Later, sothing happened to him, and Mother Xia said that the Yuan girl had helped. Mother Xia liked this girl so much and kept brainwashing him about how good she was, so Father Xia finally accepted it. In any case, she was going to beco the eldest daughter-in-law of the Xia family, so Father Xia gradually treated her as family.

He was already prepared for his eldest son to marry this Yuan girl in the future. Who would have thought that his wife would suddenly change her attitude? Moreover, he could hear from Mother Xia’s tone that she was deeply repulsed by that girl. Father Xia really felt a bit stupefied at that mont, and he didn’t understand what Mother Xia was thinking.

After listening to his mother, Xia Mingcheng heaved a sigh of relief. At the sa ti, he had a whole new level of respect for Master Chi.

That Yuan woman had bewitched his mother before, and his mother was finally barely able to co back to her senses now. He had the feeling that his mother definitely wouldn’t force him to marry Yuan Yuan in the future. No matter what that woman did, his mother probably wouldn’t fall for it again. Could he be considered to have benefited from this disaster which had befallen his brother?

Xia Mingcheng sighed and was very grateful to Master Chi.

Seeing that her eldest son didn’t reply in a tily manner, Mother Xia’s heart couldn’t help but thump. She was afraid that her eldest son really had a good impression of Yuan Yuan and wanted to marry her after the matchmaking Mother Xia had done. Mother Xia was so scared that her face turned green and she resisted the urge to vomit blood. She continued to hold her eldest son’s hand anxiously as she pleaded and said forcefully, “Eldest, Eldest, Mom won’t allow you to marry that Yuan woman. We all have to listen to Master Chi. Last ti, she said that sothing would happen to your brother in a few days. I didn’t expect it to really happen. This Master is too godly. We can’t disobey her. Besides, she also said before that if you marry that Yuan woman, you’ll lose your life at the very least, and our family will be ruined at worst. Eldest, you have to think carefully, even if not for yourself, then for our family!”
