"What is this?"

"It’s pear soup made by the chef; it can reduce inflammation and cool you down." Si Yuhuan helped her sit, then shoved the pear soup into her hands. "Drink it yourself."

TSK!

She never expected him to feed her anyway. But Si Yuhuan like this already made her look at him in a new light. The emotions secretly sprouting in her heart were once again suppressed.

The refreshing pear soup slid down her throat, indeed relieving the discomfort in Jian Xi’s throat.

She looked up at Si Yuhuan, who was standing opposite her. He was still in a handmade suit that hugged his perfectly streamlined muscles; he was always like this, impeccable and aloof, no matter the setting.

After thrusting the bowl back at him, Jian Xi lay down on the bed, feeling her strength gradually returning.

There must be sothing in the pear soup. Jian Xi found it had a distinct taste, different from what she usually made herself—it really quenched her thirst!

"This tastes good. Have soone send more of this to in the future." Having been reborn, she certainly had to treat herself better.

"Quite picky, aren’t you?" Si Yuhuan said, noting her pallor. He placed his hand on her forehead. "Do you have a fever?"

"Do I?" Jian Xi only felt cold and listless; it had not crossed her mind that she might have caught a cold.

Si Yuhuan called the doctor over. After the examination, the doctor frowned deeply.

He scowled. "Is it serious?"

"No! Miss Jian’s body is fine. If you’re really feeling unwell, take so anti-inflammatory pills."

Jian Xi: "..."

Once the doctor left, Jian Xi imdiately clarified, "I’m not faking illness; I really feel unwell. Just because he couldn’t find anything doesn’t an I’m not in discomfort."

"I didn’t say anything." He brought over a chair and sat facing her.

Jian Xi was puzzled. "Have you been in the hospital the whole ti without leaving?"

She had been tired then and had fallen asleep. Probably the bump on her head did have so effect.

"Mhm."

Si Yuhuan nodded and didn’t say much, sitting there like a statue.

Probably the first ti in his life he’s played the role of a caretaker. Deep down, Jian Xi was inexplicably elated; even the throbbing headache seed to subside. The words Wan Yu had said now echoed in her mind like demonic whispers. If not now, when would she ever get the chance to tornt Si Yuhuan?

Jian Xi grimaced, clutching her forehead. "OW."

"What’s wrong now?" He was clearly starting to get impatient.

Jian Xi pretended not to notice. "I feel dizzy."

"And?"

Jian Xi gave him a look. "I want to eat fruit, freshly squeezed waterlon juice, and I want a midnight snack."

"Aren’t you feeling unwell?" Si Yuhuan’s face darkened. He felt she was getting a bit too bold.

"Feeling unwell ans I shouldn’t eat? Won’t that slow down my recovery? You might end up needing caretaking tomorrow!" Jian Xi was brazen. "You caused my injury, so you should take extra care of . That’s what a man should do, right?"

She flattered him skillfully. Si Yuhuan fud but had nowhere to vent his anger. He realized that the current Jian Xi could be described as sharp-tongued, a far cry from her forr timidity.

"Okay."

It turned out the chef and servants hadn’t left. Soon, soone brought in so food.

Jian Xi finished eating and continued to boss Si Yuhuan around. "I want to take a bath. Fetch a bath towel and a change of pajamas."

"Dream on." Si Yuhuan finally couldn’t be bothered with her anymore.

Then he lay down on her hospital bed and closed his eyes.

Having silently dealt with a whole day’s work, he was exhausted, his entire body drained of energy.

"Hey, Si Yuhuan, I’m the patient! That’s my bed! What are you doing lying on it?"

This woman was so noisy, babbling on incessantly since she woke up. Si Yuhuan grabbed Jian Xi’s arm and pulled her onto the bed. "Shut your mouth."

He pinned down half of her body, controlling her with just one hand.

The disparity in strength between n and won was stark. Jian Xi pursed her lips, not even daring to breathe heavily.

"You... get off ."

Stars began to swim before her eyes, and the scent of tobacco from Si Yuhuan’s breath washed over her face. It was a pleasant minty aroma, like a custom-made perfu, bewitching in the darkness. He might be indifferent to her, but Jian Xi couldn’t be indifferent to him. Lust clouding her mind, Jian Xi moved closer.

"Si Yuhuan, you’re quite handso. Haven’t you slept with Jiang Qing yet?"

She had seen their affectionate interactions on his phone today. She thought, a man so generous and charming like him—Jiang Qing must have succumbed already. The two appeared inseparable. Normally speaking, they ought to have had an illegitimate child by now! Could it be that he’s impotent, or perhaps he hasn’t succeeded?

"I’ve experienced whether you’re capable or not. It can’t be that she’s incapable, right?" Jian Xi inquired gossipingly.

Could such words actually be uttered by a woman?

Si Yuhuan imdiately pushed her away and got up.

She knew exactly how to kill the mood with one sentence.

"What happens between her and is none of your business. Don’t push your luck; give you an inch, and you’ll take a mile."

Jian Xi didn’t care. "I know you stayed here out of so conscience; otherwise, with the Jian Family’s power, even my brothers couldn’t threaten you."

She was being realistic.

"Good that you know."

"But I can!" Jian Xi wanted to say, "I even have a big gift prepared for you, to return the favor one day, which will definitely shock you." But she held back. After planning for so long, Silicon Crystal was her hidden ace; how could she reveal it now?

"Split half upon divorce." She clung to this point, and sure enough, Si Yuhuan’s complexion grew even uglier, as if an anger unseen during the day was gradually clouding his handso face. She was still a patient! Although her condition wasn’t severe, she needed to avoid anxiety and agitation, especially violent treatnt.

Thinking of how Si Yuhuan spent tens of millions on Jiang Qing at the drop of a hat, Jian Xi started to negotiate with a smile. "You hurt today, and I won’t hold it against you. I’ll even cover up your violent tendencies. It’s only fair to ask for a small benefit, right?"

"You’re the one with violent tendencies!" He clearly hadn’t ant it; this woman was just taking advantage of a minor injury to get cocky.

Si Yuhuan waited for her ludicrous claims.

"That’s not important. What’s important is that if you can invest in a company for Jiang Qing, then what about ? As your legal wife, it’s not unreasonable for to want a company too, right?"

She indeed peeked at his text ssages on his phone.

The man laughed lowly, his face full of scorn and mockery.

Jian Xi pretended not to see it, continuing as if to herself, "Invest in a fashion company, specializing in niche brand design."

In her mories, Jiang Qing loved to visit various fashion companies. Initially, Jian Xi thought she was interested in the designs, but she later found out that Jiang Qing was involved with many n there. In this lifeti, she had no other desires but to disgust the two of them, on top of exacting revenge. If she could induce Jiang Qing to get involved with a few n and make Si Yuhuan a cuckold, that would be great.

"Dream on."

Si Yuhuan slamd the door and left.

Jian Xi shouted after him, "Then it’s settled! Otherwise, I’ll go back to the old mansion and tell Grandfather that your personal phone is full of evidence of your affair with Jiang Qing, the howrecker!"
