She glared at Si Yuhuan angrily, swallowing the curses she wanted to hurl and forcing a shallow, unnatural smile onto her face.

"Fine, consider yourself formidable."

"You flatter ," Si Yuhuan replied with a slight nod.

Jian Xi addressed all the directors of Haohan Group. "I stockpiled that batch of Silicon Crystal. I estimate there’s enough for your Haohan Group to use day and night for five years and still possibly not run out."

Her statent sent shockwaves through the room.

"Miss Jian, are you joking?"

The directors here had never taken her seriously; it was only because she had once been Si Yuhuan’s woman that they hadn’t driven her out. But upon hearing Jian Xi’s words, they suddenly started treating her like family.

Jian Xi felt a respect she had never experienced before.

The few directors who had previously followed Si Junyan blindly were now practically groveling at Si Yuhuan’s feet.

"Director Si, you’ve found a remarkable wife! Haohan Group has hope now."

Si Yuhuan couldn’t be bothered with their sycophancy and quickly set about restructuring the group’s internal affairs.

Just when the directors believed Si Yuhuan, surrounded by Si Junyan’s loyalists, would struggle and need to rely on them, the old guard, they discovered their own sons and grandsons had sohow, at so unknown point, been swayed to his side.

"Si Yuhuan, you play a ruthless ga!"

Their sons urged the older generation to step down. "Dad, stop struggling. Your era is over. Now, watch how we strive."

"Fine, truly fine, Si Yuhuan. You really know how to win people over."

And just like that, the old directors were completely ousted from the board. A new leadership team was ford, and the board underwent a major overhaul.

Si Yuhuan walked up to Si Weixun and extended a hand, a faint, almost imperceptible smile on his lips. "Welco ho."

"Are you not afraid of releasing the tiger back into the mountain?"

Si Yuhuan clapped him on the shoulder. "Uncle, what are you saying? Didn’t I let you go back then precisely for today? If Haohan Group is to reach the next level, it needs a thorough reform. The previous, seemingly minor actions were rely groundwork."

"It’s because I trusted you that I endured hardship out there for ten years," Si Weixun replied. "I just never expected that the one we’d end up catching would be that brat Si Junyan. He’s such a disappointnt."

"It doesn’t matter," Si Yuhuan said, an irresolvable disappointnt in his eyes. He stood there with one hand in his pocket, an indescribable air of loneliness about him.

Si Weixun knew he was upset. "Work hard. With here, the Si Family won’t have internal strife. From now on, do whatever you want. I believe Haohan Group becoming the number one international conglorate is just around the corner."

"Naturally!"

Si Yuhuan grasped Si Weixun’s hand. A firm, visible resolve shone in both their eyes, as if sealing a pact.

Jian Xi felt a chill listening to their conversation.

Si Yuhuan was too terrifying.

He had been planning all of this for the past ten years, already anticipating this day!

How deep can a person’s heart be, so unfathomable, to include everyone in his sches—even her?

Furious, she turned and stord out.

"Xixi!"

Her grandfather, snapping out of his surprise, saw Jian Xi storming off and called out loudly.

Si Yuhuan grabbed Jian Xi’s wrist. "Let explain."

"Explain what? I’ve always just been a pawn in your hands! You must be very pleased with yourself, watching dance in the palm of your hand, right? Si Yuhuan, your sches are too deep. I can’t provoke you, but I can certainly avoid you!"

She wrenched her wrist free and turned to leave decisively.

Si Yuhuan wanted to say more, but the senior managent behind him called out to him.

Once outside, Jian Xi couldn’t help but stomp her foot in frustration.

Afraid of harming the baby in her womb, she forced herself to take deep breaths to quell her anger.

You rotten bastard, Si Yuhuan! A treacherous man like you deserves to be single for life! Whoever becos your wife... Hmph, I spit on the idea!

Si Yuhuan once again beca the CEO of Haohan Group. Furthermore, Old Master Si transferred all of his ten percent stake to him. Si Yuhuan now held thirty-five percent of Haohan Group’s shares. The mont this news broke, it caused an uproar.

The news spread like wildfire, with dia outlets broadcasting it across the globe.

Haohan Group had fallen from its pedestal, but a starved cal is still bigger than a horse. Besides, Si Yuhuan’s na was hardly unknown!

Recalling how he had been ousted from Haohan Group, people could only say it was... for a woman!

No one would ever say he was incompetent or incapable.

Just as Jian Xi arrived at Fuyuan Official Residence, she saw Fu Shengyuan waiting at the entrance.

She raised an eyebrow and walked over. "Why are you here?"

"I was thinking of inviting you for a al today. A new Chinese restaurant just opened..."

"Are you even in the mood to eat? Si Yuhuan has retaken control of Haohan Group."

Jian Xi watched him with a smile.

This man, always so inscrutable. This ti, she wanted to test him, to see if prodding his sorest spot would elicit any reaction.

Yet, to her disappointnt, Fu Shengyuan laughed. "Ups and downs are a normal part of life. Si Yuhuan is no ordinary man; as long as he’s alive, he’s bound to make a coback. I always knew Si Junyan was no match for him; it was only a matter of ti before he’d be removed from that position."

"Truly impressive. As expected of a man poised to be the wealthiest, your foresight is extraordinary."

Fu Shengyuan suddenly turned serious. He looked at Jian Xi and asked, "Will you remarry him?"

"No," Jian Xi blurted out almost imdiately.

"That’s good. I will marry you, no matter the thousands of difficulties and dangers that lie ahead."

Fu Shengyuan confessed sincerely.

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

Si Yuhuan walked over, clapping. "President Fu is so passionate, it’s moving to watch. It’s just that this passion is misplaced; it looks rather comical."

Fu Shengyuan’s lips curled. "Congratulations, Director Si. You’ve revitalized the entire Haohan Group. Truly remarkable. What others couldn’t achieve in decades, you managed with such effortless planning. It’s so impressive, it makes see you in a completely new light."

Si Yuhuan pulled Jian Xi behind him with a yank. "The things that make you see in a new light will only increase. There’s no hurry; I’ll let you see everything clearly, little by little."

"I’m looking forward to it."

The smile on Fu Shengyuan’s face finally cracked.

Si Yuhuan unceremoniously shoved him aside. "You’re blocking my wife and from going in to have a private talk. Kindly step aside."

With that, he slamd the main door shut without a backward glance.

Jian Xi’s eyes widened as she looked at the fingerprint lock on the door.

"Did you think that just because you deleted my access, I wouldn’t find another chance to add it again?"

Si Yuhuan, his handso face grim, pulled her over and pushed her directly onto the sofa. "No rejection, no initiative—what do you an by that? Are you trying to lead soone on?"

Jian Xi rolled her eyes, not wanting to deal with him.

"I didn’t use you. Rescuing you was real, my injuries were real, and Si Junyan seizing an opportunity was also real," Si Yuhuan tried to explain.

Jian Xi couldn’t take in a single word.

"Stop talking! I don’t want to listen!"

She stood up, pointing at Si Yuhuan. "I don’t want to lose my temper. Get out!"

"Jian Xi..."

"I said, get out! Get out now!"

She snatched a throw pillow from the sofa and hurled it violently at Si Yuhuan.

Seeing she was genuinely furious, Si Yuhuan had no choice but to retreat step by step, finally opening the main door and stepping out.

HEH!

Outside, Fu Shengyuan stood with one hand in his pocket, a cold sneer on his face as he watched Si Yuhuan’s undignified exit.

"It seems Director Si isn’t very popular after all!"
