Upon hearing about the stock equity sale, everyone settled down considerably.
One director, with a more forceful personality, lifted his chin and warned Si Junyan, "Resolve the financial issues quickly. If anything goes wrong with Haohan Group, don’t bla us for being harsh."
Those with a softer temperant tried to speak kindly, "Junyan, don’t bla them for being angry. What you did is a cri. The consequences could be major or minor. Let’s solve this quickly for the sake of a peaceful and profitable resolution."
Si Junyan snorted coldly, "Enough. There’s no need for more veiled threats here."
Everyone looked deeply awkward.
"I will offload the shares as soon as possible, and you won’t miss out on a single penny," he said.
He stord out, slamming the door violently behind him.
A director, still unconvinced, exclaid, "Look at his arrogant deanor! He’s nothing like a leader of Haohan Group! Compared to Si Yuhuan, he falls far short!"
At this mont, everyone started to miss the days when Si Yuhuan was in charge.
Si Junyan returned to his office and smashed everything in sight.
Secretary Li went over, pulled his arm, which was propped on the table, and pressed it to her own chest, rubbing it gently. "Alright, don’t be angry. These people just look down on others; it’s not worth damaging your health over them."
Misappropriation of public funds! What an imbecile! Now that the problem has blown up, breaking things is utterly useless! she sneered internally.
"I never expected Miss Jiang to be such a person. To think you devoted your love so wrongly."
It was better that Jiang Qing was gone; that way, she would have her chance to move up.
Even a lean cal is larger than a horse. If Si Junyan fell from grace, the crumbs that slipped through his fingers would be enough for her to live worry-free for the rest of her life.
"Don’t you dare gloat here, as if I don’t know what cunning plans you’re hatching!" Si Junyan snapped, shaking off her hand. "Get out!"
"Why take it out on ? If you have the guts, go ask Jiang Qing for the two billion!"
With that, she stord out, slamming the door behind her.
Si Junyan hurled another ashtray at the door she had just exited.
"Bastards! All of them, a bunch of thankless wretches!"
Didn’t he want the money?
Once the money reached Si Yuhuan’s pocket, how could he possibly reclaim it?
Creating such a fuss would let everyone know he embezzled public funds, wouldn’t it?
Did they want to see him in prison?
A bunch of pig-headed idiots!
「Soon, the news spread through Beijing that Si Junyan was auctioning off five percent of his shares in Haohan Group.」
Instantly, it sent shockwaves throughout the business community.
No one wanted to pass up the chance to acquire shares in Haohan Group.
These shares were highly liquid assets.
The Si Family elders ca knocking, one after another.
This looked like a deliberate plan to ruin the Si Family!
Unable to tolerate this, the Si Family mbers surrounded Si Junyan at his ho and berated him.
"How could the Si Family produce such a scoundrel? Junyan, if you dare sell the shares, we’ll fight you to the end!"
"We were blind to support you as president of Haohan Group! Knowing what we know now, your father’s shares should have been under our control from the start!"
"Where is Old Master Si? Why isn’t he here presiding over this situation?"
A group of bodyguards erged, followed by Si Junyan, dressed in casual ho attire.
In just two short days, he had beco very haggard. He looked listless, his hair ssy and unkempt.
"What are you trying to do?" Si Junyan asked coldly, lifting his gaze.
A bolder family elder, furious, shouted, "You scoundrel! What do you think we’re trying to do? Are you out of your mind, selling Haohan Group’s shares?"
"They’re my shares. I’ll sell them however I want. What business is it of yours?" Si Junyan haughtily ordered his n to kick the group of family elders out.
A group of elders, already in their seventies or eighties, were dragged out by bodyguards and practically thrown out, nearly losing their lives in the process.
Outside, a large group of old n lay sprawled, vociferously complaining about Si Junyan’s unfilial actions, accusing him of having no regard for his own blood relatives.
At that mont, everyone began to appreciate Si Yuhuan’s rits.
Si Yuhuan, despite his cold pride, inherently respected the Si Family elders. He was wholeheartedly devoted to the developnt of Haohan Group and the interests of the Si Family, and would never have behaved so outrageously.
Comparing the two brothers, the Si Family elders who had initially supported Si Junyan were like frostbitten eggplants, wishing they could bury their heads in the ground.
They blad each other, turning on one another.
The Si Family was thrown into chaos.
Jian Xi wasn’t surprised when she received the news.
She deliberately said to Si Yuhuan, who was lying in the hospital bed, "No matter how big a family is, if there’s no one in charge, it’s finished."
Si Yuhuan listened to Jian Xi’s words as if he hadn’t heard a thing, remaining perfectly calm without the slightest ripple of emotion.
"Aren’t you worried? If the Si Family’s shares are sold, you’ll no longer have the power to control Haohan Group."
He looked up with a cold laugh. "You speak as if it has anything to do with now."
Jian Xi stared at him suspiciously.
Si Yuhuan furrowed his brow slightly. "Is there any water? I’m thirsty."
Jian Xi obediently went to pour water and handed it to him. "Here you go."
"It’s sweet," he said after taking a sip.
Jian Xi was speechless. Is he sick? How can water be sweet!
"It won’t be long before it tastes bitter."
Si Yuhuan looked up.
Jian Xi grinned. "Haohan Group won’t be controlled by the Si Family any longer. Thinking of going back is just a dream."
"Oh!" he responded, still indifferent.
Jian Xi, sowhat angered, slamd the door hard as she left.
What the hell! It’s like the emperor isn’t worried, but the eunuchs are panicking!
She took out her phone and called Wan Yu.
"I was just about to look for you!"
Before Jian Xi could speak, Wan Yu, bursting with gossipy zeal, began to share, "Jiang Qing will basically be sentenced to life imprisonnt; she won’t be getting out in this lifeti. Si Junyan hasn’t visited her. He’s embroiled in lawsuits and looking to sell his shares, and I..."
"I’m planning to buy his shares," Jian Xi said slowly and calmly.
"What?"
Wan Yu hadn’t finished sharing her gossip. She was so startled by Jian Xi’s sudden statent that she almost fell off her chair. Thankfully, her assistant was there to support her.
She waved her hand, signaling the assistant to leave, then asked Jian Xi in a hushed tone on the phone, "What are you trying to do? Rekindle old flas?"
"You’re overthinking it. I simply want to get onto Haohan Group’s board of directors."
Wan Yu, thrilled by the idea, said, "Fine, leave this to . I’ll find soone to act as a proxy buyer, ensuring you get the shares with ease."
"However, Si Junyan’s asking price won’t be low—at least ten billion. You... can you manage it?"
Previously, Jian Xi certainly wouldn’t have had that much. However, with the loan from mortgaging Yaowang Group, plus the one billion her eldest brother had given Si Yuhuan, and if she borrowed so from her second brother, it should be manageable.
"I can."
Jian Xi reassured Wan Yu. Wan Yu imdiately and generously offered, "I don’t have a lot, but I can definitely co up with three hundred million. Every little bit helps to get things done. I’ll help you."
Jian Xi was overco with emotion.
Wan Yu was the only person not related to her by blood who truly treated her like a sister, a dear friend, with all her heart.
"Good!"
Jian Xi accepted without refusal. "Consider it an investnt."
"Hahaha! Great!"
The two of them hung up happily. Jian Xi turned around to see Si Yuhuan leaning against the doorfra not far away.
