Mrs. Wang, hearing her self-pity, softened imdiately and hurriedly raised her hand to have soone help her sit down while smiling, "You are a good person, mother understands this well! Okay okay, stop being like this! Don’t worry, it’s alright if you don’t understand, as long as you are willing, mother will teach you everything!"

Sang Wan gratefully responded, "Thank you, mother!"

"Eh, why be so formal within the family!" Mrs. Wang smiled and then asked, "Speaking of, are your elder brother and sister-in-law arriving soon?"

Sang Wan was also eagerly waiting and shook her head with a smile, "I don’t think they’ll arrive that soon! There’s still a bit of ti!"

"I heard their journey is not short, so let’s just wait! Go back and wait, once they arrive, go greet them at the second gate. You don’t need to go out, let Fengju go and receive them!" Mrs. Wang instructed. She then asked Gu Fangzi, is everything arranged properly?

Gu Fangzi quickly smiled and replied affirmatively. Mrs. Wang smiled and nodded, letting them each go their ways.

Sang Wan returned to Ningyuan, sitting on the couch waiting as it was almost noon, estimating that in less than half an hour her brother and sister-in-law should arrive.

While she was considering calling soone to go to the study to fetch Shi Fengju, she saw Shi Fengju stepping in, "Has my elder brothern’t co—yet?"

Upon looking up, the elegantly dressed Sang Wan suddenly caught his eye vividly; Shi Fengju’s eyes lit up, his heart skipped a beat, staring blankly at the strikingly beautiful face before him, montarily lost for words.

He knew his wife in na had an elegant and gentle temperant, both her deanor and appearance were outstanding, but he never anticipated how beautiful she also looked dressed up like this, so... enchantingly lovely.

A line of poetry unconsciously surfaced in his mind: Heavy makeup or light application always suit her well.

The phrase is simple, but in this world, won who consistently look good in makeup or without are rare.

"They may still be a while away! I was just about to send soone to call you over, and coincidentally, here you are!" Sang Wan softly stood up, smiling as she walked towards Shi Fengju.

Shi Fengju’s heart beat rapidly, his body stiffened, his mouth dry, and he slightly avoided Sang Wan’s gaze, hesitatingly saying, "Then, then let’s wait a bit longer, wait a bit longer!"

Her slender waist gracefully curving, affluent and regal, her movents bringing a faint scent lingering in his nostrils; Shi Fengju suddenly felt an impulse to hold her tightly.

However, Sang Wan softly smiled as she stepped forward, gently supporting his arm to sit down, personally taking the tea the maid offered and handing it to him, smiling sweetly and obediently nodded, "Hmm, let’s wait a bit more."

In the presence of Mrs. Li, Sang Wan always served him like this, and Shi Fengju should have been used to it, but today, he felt uncomfortably different everywhere; her breath was as fragrant as orchid, the subtle scent, her gentle smile, her skin smooth as jade, along with her slender and fair neck and soft hands, incessantly stimulated his senses and touched his heart.

Sang Wan felt embarrassed by his gaze in front of the maids and had no good way to react, so she pretended not to know and withdrew her hand with a blushing face.

As Shi Fengju was distracted by her beauty, he didn’t hold the tea cup securely and "Ah!" exclaid as the tea splashed onto his blue gown, wetting the front.

"Are you alright!" Sang Wan exclaid in shock and hurriedly attended to him.

"Did it burn you?" Shi Fengju also spoke simultaneously.

Sang Wan was taken aback, "No, I’m fine." She thought unless he threw the tea cup at , how could it burn ? She saw that he was flustered!

Xingzhi, Hong Ye, and the other maids had never seen the young master look so distracted; they couldn’t help but purse their lips and giggle. Mrs. Li, seeing this, scolded with a smile: "You little hooves, what are you standing there for? Hurry and go change the young master’s clothes!"

Xingzhi and others imdiately stifled their laughter and invited Shi Fengju inside to change.

"It’s good you didn’t get burnt!" Shi Fengju smiled and got up to go inside.

Only then did Sang Wan notice each maid had a mischievous smirk, and her face imdiately turned beet red.

"What are you all still standing around for? Go do your work! Send two people out to inquire, see if my uncle and aunt have co!" Mrs. Li scolded them with a laugh.

The maids scattered like birds.

Only Mrs. Li and Sang Wan were left in the room; Mrs. Li cheerfully approached Sang Wan and whispered, "Madam should dress up more like this in the future; look at the young master, he was completely smitten! Obviously, the young master likes it!"

"Mrs. Li!" Sang Wan, utterly embarrassed, blushed even redder.

"Madam, what’s there to be shy about! Between husband and wife, shouldn’t it be just like this!" Seeing Sang Wan’s tender face, Mrs. Li earnestly advised, "Take this old servant’s advice, don’t hold back; if the young master likes it, then dress up more often and win his favor! If you don’t win his favor, those shaless ones outside will start making moves!"

Sang Wan shyly turned her face away, hanging her head low.

Mrs. Li smiled gently, "Old servant is really looking out for you! With your temperant, no one can shake Madam Shi’s position, but if there is no harmonious and loving relationship between husband and wife, what joy is there in having a wealthy status!"

Sang Wan finally raised her head, biting her freshly red lips, and gratefully said, "Mrs. Li, thank you!"

"Don’t be polite with this old servant!" Mrs. Li waved her hand and laughed, "Old servant just can’t wait to see the young master’s child being born soon!"

Sang Wan was startled, an uneasy feeling involuntarily arose in her heart.

After Shi Fengju changed his clothes, Mrs. Li gestured with her eyes, and along with Xingzhi and others silently exited, leaving the lovely atmosphere to the pair. Little did they know, Sang Wan was greatly embarrassed and at a loss for words towards Mrs. Li’s kind intention.

If the two of them were indeed husband and wife, l it would naturally be good, but they were not.

Shi Fengju had cald his emotions by then, but upon seeing his enchanting wife, his eyes still couldn’t hide the admiration and praise.
