"I don’t believe you can do anything to ! Just you wait! My mother hasn’t died yet, it’s not your turn to call the shots in this house!" Yui shouted angrily.

"You can try." Sang Wan coldly dropped a sentence and left.

"This shrew! This shrew!" Yui felt so weak in her legs that she almost collapsed, it wasn’t until the maid ca by her side to support her that she took a deep breath and left resentfully.

Yui originally wanted to go to the peony garden to tell Gu Fangzi about this and to complain and discuss strategies, but then she changed her mind: she was thoroughly mocked and humiliated by Sang Wan. How could she let anyone know of such a disgraceful thing? No way! Nobody except herself could know! Otherwise, those slaves who were eager to please Sang Wan would find out and who knows what they would say about her! She is the esteed eldest daughter of the Shi family; she cannot allow people to gossip about her!

"Let’s go back!" Yui took a deep breath.

"Madam, aren’t you going to stroll around the garden?" Xiaoshuang asked with a smile.

"What is there to stroll about!" Yui, rembering her previous anger, scoffed, "What’s there to see in soone else’s garden!"

Seeing Xiaoshuang’s astonished look, Yui regretted her slip of the tongue and feeling it aningless, she forcefully pointed at Xiaoshuang’s forehead, "Too much talk! Let’s go back!"

Having vented the evil frustration in her heart, Sang Wan felt relieved at the mont but later was slightly regretful and uneasy, thinking that this could let Yui have sothing to accuse her of in front of her mother-in-law and the young master! Nevermind! What’s said is said, and she can’t control what Yui wants to do. At worst, it would just be a divorce letter!

Sang Wan calmly awaited the storm to co. Unexpectedly, a day passed and everything was calm. Her mother-in-law did not send anyone to summon her, and Fengju did not ntion a word when he ca back at night. Lying in bed that night, Sang Wan still felt it was unreal like a dream!

The next morning after breakfast, upon paying respects to her mother-in-law, Yui’s face slightly changed upon seeing her and turned away, not behaving with the usual haughty and sarcastic tone.

Sang Wan imdiately realized: Yui hadn’t told anyone about yesterday’s incident!

Her annoyance was inevitable, but it seed there was also so fear; at the least, she didn’t dare to blatantly mock and humiliate her anymore.

It really must be said, so people are just despicable! Sang Wan thought coldly to herself.

"Daughter-in-law pays respects to mother!" Sang Wan approached with proper decorum and knelt to greet.

"Hmm, good, rise! Sit down and let’s talk!" Mrs. Wang smiled warmly as usual and lifted her hand. Then they chatted about trivial matters as usual.

The only difference was that Yui was unusually silent today, sitting beside Mrs. Wang without saying a word.

"Yui, what’s wrong with you? Did sothing happen!" Finally noticing her daughter’s abnormality, Mrs. Wang quickly expressed her concern.

Yui glanced at Sang Wan, seeing Sang Wan’s typically serene and faintly smiling face, she felt extrely frustrated and humphed, "Nothing! Just saw a fly yesterday, it disgusted !"

"You’re making things up again!" Mrs. Wang laughed, "Where would flies co from in this season? Even if there were, would seeing one yesterday still upset you now? It’s just a fly, are you really that bothered about it, you look all wilted! Miss Wan, don’t you agree?"

Sang Wan laughed, "Mother is right! But there are no absolutes in life, not just elder sister, yesterday I also thought I saw a fly! Such creatures are indeed annoying and disgusting, and yet you can’t hit them or drive them away, buzzing senselessly by your side, terribly annoying! No wonder elder sister is in a bad mood today!"

Yui’s eyes widened as she stared at Sang Wan, speechlessly choked.

Mrs. Wang actually took it seriously, surprised, "Really? What a coincidence!"

"Isn’t that so!" Sang Wan laughed, "But it didn’t bother , unlike elder sister! If she’s not feeling well, she should rest well! Mother, I won’t disturb you any longer, I will take my leave first!"

"Hehe, go on, go on!" Mrs. Wang waved her hands with a chuckle.

Sang Wan bowed with a smile and turned to leave, then suddenly turned back to Yui, "Oh, elder sister! If there’s another fly bothering you and making you upset, it must be a sanitation issue in our house, don’t forget to let know, so I can arrange a thorough cleaning and disinfection!"

Yui’s face grew even uglier, she snorted coldly without a word.

"Yui! What’s the matter with you!" Mrs. Wang pushed Yui slightly and frowned, "She ant well, how can you be like this! Hehe, Miss Wan, it’s fine, go on with your tasks. Ah! Your elder sister, that’s just her temper!"

"Mother, perhaps elder sister is upset today because of the fly! Why would I mind such things with elder sister! I’ll go now!" Sang Wan gracefully smiled and left.

"So pretentious!" Yui finally couldn’t hold it in any longer as soon as Sang Wan left and coldly spoke.

"Yui!" Mrs. Wang sternly rebuked with a frown, "Why has your temperant beco so strange? Miss Wan was sincerely kind, how can you speak that way? How would she feel if she heard you say that!"

"Mother, rest assured!" Yui sneered, "She’s tough, not that easily knocked down! You worry too much!"

"Inappropriate! You’re speaking more and more outrageously!" Mrs. Wang slapped the table heavily, her face stern as she shouted, "Yui! I warn you, stop talking in that sarcastic tone! How has Miss Wan wronged you that you target her at every turn? Take the incident the day before yesterday, she didn’t even ntion it afterwards nor forced you to apologize, isn’t she tolerant enough? As an elder sister, you don’t have the slightest generosity, instead, you’re always squeezing her! Honestly, if roles were reversed that day, would you have easily forgiven her? Huh?"
