So when Charles Seymour ca downstairs and saw the supposedly fine midnight snack accompanied by a plate of chilled bitter gourd salad, his perplexed gaze fell on Sophie Wilson.

What kind of pairing is this?

He rembered she didn’t seem to like this kind of thing, right?

"Eat more bitter gourd, it’s good for cooling the blood and removing excess heat," Sophie Wilson picked up so bitter gourd for Charles Seymour, telling him to eat more, so he wouldn’t have idle thoughts.

Earlier his reaction was too scary!

Sophie Wilson wouldn’t admit to being startled herself.

Anyway, anyway, let him cool off first.

Charles Seymour looked at the bitter gourd in his bowl, his puzzled gaze falling on Sophie Wilson.

Clearly a normal look, but for so reason, when it fell on Sophie Wilson, it made her heart race, as if her little unease was totally seen through by Charles Seymour.

"You don’t like it?" Sophie Wilson bit her lip, feigning calmness.

She was determined not to let Charles Seymour see she had been scared.

"It’s okay," Charles Seymour said nonchalantly. He had no special requirents for food. During extraordinary tis, what hadn’t he eaten?

Charles Seymour picked up his chopsticks and slowly ate the bitter gourd Sophie Wilson had given him.

Sophie Wilson saw him eat it and secretly let out a breath, eating the midnight snack with him.

She had only eaten two bites, and her own bowl was served a chopstick full of bitter gourd.

Sophie Wilson looked at the erald bitter gourd, her brows knitted into a knot, showing her disdain quite obviously.

"You have so too," Charles Seymour said, "Your face was quite red earlier too, don’t let your mind wander, calm down."

Sophie Wilson’s eyes widened abruptly, and her chopsticks fell on the table with a clatter, being too shocked.

This bastard actually said she was overthinking!

What was she overthinking?

Does he think she’s shaless like him?

Ah ah ah?

Which bastard was having such wild thoughts with such a big reaction? She was embarrassed, you know?

Not frantically excited!

Charles Seymour glanced at Sophie Wilson, picked up the chopsticks and placed them properly for her: "Don’t worry, wait until you’re well, we’ll take our ti, and then get married. Your situation doesn’t permit those things right now, I’ll make it up to you in the future. I won’t let you suffer."

Sophie Wilson: "..."

"Ahem," Sophie Wilson gave a dry cough and asked very seriously, "Mr. Seymour, have you always been this confident since you were little?"

"Hmm," Charles Seymour nodded, admitting without hesitation.

Sophie Wilson held her forehead, her hands itching, wanting to hit soone!

Seeing Sophie Wilson’s reaction, a hint of amusent flickered in Charles Seymour’s eyes, but it was just a brief glimr before he asked seriously, "When two people in love want to be closer, it’s a natural expression of love. That’s how I feel, isn’t that right, Sophie?"

Sophie Wilson’s mouth gaped in surprise, forming an "o" — how was she supposed to answer that?

Charles Seymour’s lips showed a gentle smile of understanding: "I already know, you don’t need to say."

"Our feelings have spanned two lifetis, how could I not understand?" Charles Seymour said, considerately.

With Charles Seymour’s words, Sophie Wilson thought of the decades of longing she had for him in the past life, pursed her lips, and thought, is there anything to be embarrassed about with him?

"Hmm," Sophie Wilson softly murmured, her voice tiny.

She was acknowledging he was right, but she still felt embarrassed!

Charles Seymour curved his lips into a smile and then picked out so food for her: "Hurry up and eat."
