Leng Ning was dressed in a red suit today, looking festive and beautiful.
She felt deep gratitude toward Li Si. Originally, opening the Sing Branch was her way of creating her own career, wanting to keep up with Jin Yichen and not fall too far behind him.
Unexpectedly, it had yielded significant results, and now a strong sense of ambition arose in her heart. Perhaps she would turn Sing into her lifelong career.
Li Si smiled and hooked her arm: "What’s there to be polite about? Just make sure you work hard and don’t ruin Sing’s reputation, okay? There’s no need for gratitude between us, Xiao Ning. I’m just doing all this for your brother’s sake. Now, do well in the future!"
Before Leng Mochen passed away, he had entrusted Li Si to look after Leng Ning. Her words now carried a double aning, fulfilling his request.
Leng Ning nodded firmly and hugged Li Si tightly again, leaning in to say, "Sister-in-law! Don’t worry! I’ll definitely do my best! My brother really has good taste, finding such a great sister-in-law!"
Li Si playfully blinked: "Really? Everyone says the sa thing!"
This made Leng Ning burst into laughter: "Haha! Sister-in-law, you’re amazing!"
...
Wang ishu ended up visiting Li Si in person; her intentions were crystal clear. This ti, she had decided to open a Sing branch in another city.
Li Si asked calmly: "Aunt, what about your building materials store?"
Actually, after Leng Ning’s store opened, Mrs. Leng had chatted with her. Both won had originally hoped Wang ishu wouldn’t get involved with Sing branches.
Because Wang ishu was overly calculating and a bit opportunistic, who knew what sort of problems she might stir up in the future?
But this ti, Ouyang Yan’s younger brother, Ouyang Zhenglin, surprisingly intervened. He begged his sister to give Wang ishu a chance, considering it a favor to him, letting her take this project in a distant location.
Keeping her far away would at least reduce the headache for him. Otherwise, Ouyang Zhenglin felt like he’d be driven insane by Wang ishu.
So, Mrs. Leng ntioned this to Li Si and Leng Mochen. Later, the couple discussed it and decided on so regulations and rules to restrict Wang ishu.
Wang ishu chuckled, "You can let your uncle manage it! Honestly, there’s not much to do on a daily basis; the staff at the store can handle things!
Sisi, I know there was so unpleasantness between us because of my niece. Auntie sincerely apologizes to you here. I genuinely wasn’t thinking much about it at the ti. Who could’ve expected my niece, Wang Ye, to have that kind of personality? It’s her parents who spoiled her!"
ntioning Wang Ye, Li Si was reminded of Zhou Rou’s older brother, Zhou Gang, and casually asked, "Let’s not bring up the past anymore. I didn’t take it to heart either. By the way, she was picking out wedding bedding back then—has the wedding happened?"
Wang ishu pursed her lips, "Sisi, you’re family, so I’m not afraid to say sothing embarrassing. I genuinely don’t know what that child is thinking. With her family’s condition, couldn’t she find soone decent in Beijing? But no, her partner is from elsewhere, poor, with only a mother at ho—her father passed away years ago.
Just getting a marriage certificate counts as marriage to them. There wasn’t even a proper wedding! Us relatives all think she’s making a poor choice."
When Li Si heard this, she imdiately knew it must be Zhou Gang.
Turns out he really did marry Wang Ye, though she wasn’t sure what his true motives were.
In the end, Li Si agreed to let Wang ishu open a branch, but everything had to follow established procedures. Products would be supplied entirely by Mo Si, and the prices would differ from Leng Ning’s store.
Wang ishu readily agreed. She was self-aware enough to know she, as an aunt, couldn’t compare with siblings.
Still, she was confident in her abilities—good products and reputation were enough to guarantee profit!
...
In the blink of an eye, Li Si’s birthday had arrived. Several years had passed since her rebirth; now, she had a husband and child, no longer alone.
Leng Mochen wanted to arrange a proper celebration, but Li Si honestly didn’t have the mood or energy for anything extravagant.
She simply wanted to have a small gathering with a few friends for a simple al.
The location was a private room at a familiar luxury club. Apart from Li Si and Leng Mochen, there were Long Wu and Su ng, Xu Er and Bai Shasha, Leng Ning and Jin Yichen, as well as Liu Xiaole.
Everyone gathered to celebrate Li Si’s birthday. When it ca ti to blow out the candles, Li Si quietly made a wish: that her entire family would stay healthy, safe, and free from the troubles that had plagued them.
After dinner, Long Wu suggested going to a karaoke bar for fun since it had been a while since their last group outing. The idea was t with enthusiastic agreent.
Li Si clung to Leng Mochen’s arm and nodded with a smile.
It was rare for everyone to be together, the night was still young, and it’d be great to have so fun.
Besides, Mrs. Leng and Mr. Leng were at ho watching over Buding, which gave her peace of mind.
Speaking of Mr. Leng, he and Mrs. Leng had already set a departure date—about a week from now. They would be traveling for several months, possibly returning only around the New Year.
Knowing this, they treated every mont with their adorable grandson Buding as precious, aware that when they returned, the child might change so much he wouldn’t recognize them anymore.
The group headed to a newly opened karaoke bar called "Honey" in grand style.
The location had been chosen by Long Wu, who, upon arrival, shalessly claid he had pre-scouted it for them.
This earned him mockery from Xu Er and Leng Mochen. Su ng, amused, held Li Si’s arm and glanced at the strikingly handso n standing at the entrance—Long Wu among them. "He’s always like this; I think he has a masochistic streak!"
Li Si withdrew her gaze from the brightly lit neon sign and joked, "I think so too. If you don’t tease Brother Wu, he gets restless! And you’re no better!"
Su ng laughed and scolded, "Oh, go away!"
She wasn’t like that, okay? It was Long Wu who brought it upon himself.
Bai Shasha chid in, "Si, you always cut straight to the point! Why do you always speak the truth? Right, ng ng?"
"You two really gang up just to make fun of !"
Leng Ning, chatting with Liu Xiaole nearby, noticed the group lingering outside and walked over, saying, "What secrets are you discussing? Let us join in!"
Li Si smiled and replied, "We’re talking about..."
Su ng quickly interrupted, rolling her eyes, "Enough talking, let’s go inside! Leaving those n waiting outside isn’t ideal. They might attract unwanted attention!"
The group glanced over—and it was true. Standing there were the highly attractive Leng Mochen, Xu Er, Long Wu, and Jin Yichen. Each had their distinct charm, yet together they presented a harmonious and striking scene, a true feast for the eyes.
So passing girls shyly covered their mouths and giggled, while so of the bolder ones unabashedly stared at them.
Suddenly an idea sparked in Li Si’s mind, and she couldn’t stop laughing: "Look at them—they totally look like F4!"
