"Speak up! What’s going on?"

Leng Mochen didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly.

Long Wu took a big gulp of liquor, avoiding their gaze and deflecting the topic: "Leng Er, Xu Er, out of all the bros we hang with, aren’t we the closest?

Tell , am I the type to indulge in debauchery?"

Leng Mochen looked at him indifferently, having long predicted this day would co.

Xu Er scoffed, "You tell !"

That day at the gathering, he’d said it himself—there’d be a day when he’d cry.

Long Wu didn’t respond and continued, "I really didn’t do anything; it was just a ga, but she just doesn’t believe . Now that she’s in postpartum confinent, I have no way to argue this issue with her.

When she cos back ho, I’ll definitely sit down and have a proper talk with her. A life can’t be lived like this!"

Leng Mochen took a sip of liquor: "How do you plan to talk to her? Long Wu, we’ve known each other for a while, haven’t we? For so things that clearly are your fault, will you admit them or not?"

Who would make their pregnant wife heartbroken?

Xu Er also felt that Leng Mochen hit the nail on the head and echoed, "Long Wu, you’re way too self-centered!"

Long Wu buried his head in his hands, "Yes! I admit it, I did things wrong. But I love her! How can one mistake lead her to completely deny ?"

Leng Mochen shook his head, "You still haven’t pinpointed the real issue. So mistakes can be made, and so absolutely cannot. Tell us, what’s the deal with that woman?"

A woman’s heart, once hurt, can’t be soothed with a re apology.

Especially when it’s Long Wu and Su ng’s situation—it’s even more complicated.

They had already separated once because of another woman. That ti, Su ng even lost her child.

These mories might be fragnted for her due to amnesia, but what is happening now, she feels very vividly and clearly.

Besides, from what Leng Mochen saw that day, Long Wu’s guilty behavior was obvious.

It wasn’t just Su ng who doubted him; every one of them had things to say behind his back.

Long Wu slumped powerlessly onto the sofa, closing his eyes, "Xu Er, I’m such a bastard. Back then, I don’t even know what ca over . I know deep down I love Su ng, but when those assholes egged on, I lacked the nerve to outright refuse.

Honestly, nothing much happened—it was just a little flirtation, so ambiguous touches. Looking back now, I really deserved it—damn well deserved!"

"What the hell were you thinking? Didn’t you know you’re married and have a pregnant wife at ho? Still ssing around with pointless crap? I have no idea what to say to you!"

Xu Er was agitated hearing his recount, visibly annoyed. Among their circle, their relationship was the closest. Because Xu Er had gone abroad for a few years, his bond with Leng Er had faded sowhat.

But he had always kept in touch with Long Wu, so Xu Er had considered his relationship with Long Wu a bit tighter.

Long Wu clenched his fists in anguish, "I know, I ssed up! But now she’s so cold to . If it weren’t for the child we have, I believe she wouldn’t even bother with !"

His pain was evident. Having a son should’ve been a joyful occasion.

But in his and Su ng’s case, their relationship was separated by a solid, impenetrable barrier.

He wanted to communicate with Su ng, share his true feelings with her.

But Su ng never gave him the chance, always acting indifferent yet polite, maintaining a distance between them.

He had initially hoped her mother could persuade her, but after his mother caused a scene outside the operating room, Mrs. Su no longer spoke up.

Everything now depended on Su ng’s own wishes. The idea of her leaving him terrified Long Wu.

Leng Mochen’s eyes darkened slightly, "Who’s in that group you ntioned?"

His sudden question made Long Wu sit upright, opening his eyes, "Leng Er, what are you getting at?"

He sensed Leng Mochen’s question carried deeper implications than rely its surface aning.

"Who exactly?" Leng Mochen asked again, his expression cold.

"Wang Si and so of his friends. I hardly know them!"

Back then, Leng Mochen was busy being the perfect husband, and Xu Er was chasing after Bai Shasha, so whenever Long Wu wanted to hit the bar, he went alone.

One day, he happened to run into Wang Si after a long ti of not seeing him. It was also that day he first t the woman.

Initially, he truly had no other intentions. But it was their group egging them on and pairing them together that led to all the later incidents.

"Damn it! Could he have set up?" Long Wu suddenly realized and smashed his glass in anger.

If that were the case, it would explain why his private number leaked, and why the woman caused a scene in Wang Si’s office later.

At the ti, he found it odd—how could anyone randomly cause a commotion in that office?

What was his office security even doing?

"I think it’s highly possible!" Xu Er said with conviction, then pointed at Long Wu angrily, "Even if soone plotted against you, it’s still your own fault! Flies don’t hover around seamless eggs!"

Leng Mochen remained unmoving, deep in thought. If the woman Long Wu had encountered was part of an intentional setup, then this whole sche was likely aid at their circle as a whole.

Now, the question remained—who was orchestrating it all?

After putting the pieces together, Long Wu turned his despair into determination. He absolutely had to confront Wang Si and vent his fury. As for what Xu Er said, he selectively ignored it.

"That bastard Wang Si—no way am I letting him off easy! His wife isn’t exactly a pushover. I’ll hook him up with that woman and watch him squirm!"

Wang Si’s wife was notoriously fiery in their circle. If she caught wind of sothing, Wang Si would surely suffer.

Xu Er shot him a look of disdain, "Maybe they’re already sharing a bed. Do you even need to waste your effort?"

Those capable of pulling off a stunt like this—who’d believe it wasn’t preditated?

Long Wu, irritated, smashed another bottle in front of him, "That bastard! I swear, I’ll flatten his house!"

Leng Mochen calmly stopped him, "Don’t act rashly just yet. If they don’t know you’re onto them, they might make more moves.

What’s the point of storming in right now?"

Long Wu gradually cald down, also sensing the unusual undercurrent. If this was indeed a sche against him, there were bound to be follow-ups.

Su ng—they knew his weak point was Su ng.

"Why the hell would Wang Si do this? I don’t recall any grudges between us, past or present." Long Wu was most puzzled by this. If anything, Wang Si had owed him a favor before.

So, during this whole debacle, on one hand, he was thrown off by Su ng’s distress; on the other, he hadn’t anticipated Wang Si would set him up.

"Think harder. Maybe there’s sothing you overlooked!" Leng Mochen frowned slightly, feeling like soone was deliberately seeking revenge on Long Wu.

Nobody does these things without a reason.

Long Wu sank into deep thought, spinning his eyes, wiping his lips, and grinning bitterly, "That bastard—I really can’t think of anything where I wronged him!"

Leng Mochen patted his shoulder, "Doesn’t matter if you can’t rember. Now that you’re certain it’s him, start investigating tomorrow."

"Alright! Damn it, I won’t let him get away with this!" Long Wu suppressed his urge to imdiately bring down Wang Si’s house. He decided to let Wang Si bask in smugness a while longer.

Xu Er earnestly warned, "But Long Wu, this whole incident should serve as a wake-up call for you. If you want things to work out with Su ng, you can’t make mistakes like this again!"

"Don’t worry! I understand the gravity of it now!" Long Wu made a solemn vow.

Leng Mochen and Xu Er exchanged a glance, but neither appeared optimistic. Wang Si was hardly the real concern—it all depended on what Su ng thought. (To be continued.
