As soon as Li Si’s feet touched the ground, she grabbed her phone to look sothing up online, but Leng Mochen snatched it away from her: "There’s radiation!"

"Oh co on! Give it back to . We don’t even know what’s going on yet, and you’re already being so cautious." Li Si reached out to take the phone back, but Leng Mochen held it up high, refusing to return it.

"How can I not be careful? This is our first baby. From now on, phones are confiscated. I’ll get you a little pager instead!" He seed to have heard sowhere that pagers didn’t emit radiation.

Li Si tried to reach for the phone, but she couldn’t. His arm was held too high, and even her almost five-foot-seven fra struggled to reach.

Rolling her eyes at his words, she couldn’t help but retort: "You sure know a lot! Pagers? Wait—what do you an by ’first baby’? Exactly how many do you plan on having?"

Leng Mochen laughed heartily: "Not that many. Three or four would be just perfect!" He increasingly felt it would be wonderful to have a big, lively family when the ti ca.

"Do I look like a pig to you? You expect to give birth to so many?" Li Si sat down helplessly, completely giving up on the phone.

"Honey, if you don’t want that many, then two is fine—one boy and one girl! How about that?"

"Ha!" Li Si let out a dry laugh and squinted at him, determined to poke holes in his enthusiasm: "Is the main problem now really about how many kids to have? Shouldn’t we first confirm if I’m pregnant at all?"

Leng Mochen nodded: "Then let’s go to the hospital first!"

"No need! I heard there’s this test paper thing. Supposedly, you can find out with just one test!" Li Si felt it was premature to make a big fuss and rush to the hospital. What if it turned out to be nothing? It’d all be for nothing.

She instinctively touched her belly. Was she really going to beco a mother?

Why did it feel so unreal? It was like a dream—dizzy and surreal.

Leng Mochen waved his hand with enthusiasm: "Honey, wait here. I’ll go buy it!" He loudly smacked a kiss onto her cheek before rushing out the door.

Watching his retreating figure, Li Si chuckled to herself. If it truly turned out to be true, then she’d have to buy loads and loads of adorable baby clothes and toys. Oh my, so many things to plan!

She was caught in a swirl of alternating joy and nervousness, feeling as though ti had slowed down—until Leng Mochen returned, carrying a whole bag of pregnancy test kits, snapping her out of her thoughts.

Li Si took the bag and glanced inside. Goodness gracious, this was so typical of him—a bag filled with test kits of every brand and style. She couldn’t help doubting whether he’d bought every single kind available at the pharmacy.

As it turned out, she was right. In his excitent, Leng Mochen hadn’t been sure which one to pick, so he’d asked the store clerk to pack one of each. After all, he figured, what if one wasn’t accurate? Better safe than sorry—multiple tests would ensure certainty.

Under Leng Mochen’s hopeful gaze, Li Si entered the bathroom. She casually grabbed a box and spent ages studying the instructions before finally figuring out how to use it.

Outside the bathroom, Leng Mochen paced anxiously, straining his ears to catch any sound of movent. Why was it so quiet in there?

Then, the bathroom door opened. Li Si slowly walked out, looking shy and hesitant, her face betraying a complex expression—a mix of emotions he couldn’t quite decipher. Her almost-laughing expression left him uneasy.

"No? It’s okay! Honey, if it’s not, we’ll just let nature take its course. You’re still young, and I’m not in a rush!" He quickly offered gentle reassurance. While he told himself he wouldn’t be disappointed, deep inside, he couldn’t deny feeling a little let down—but her happiness mattered more.

Li Si suddenly threw herself into his arms: "Hubby, I really am pregnant!"

"What? Really! Then why were you just now—" Leng Mochen quickly processed what she said and imdiately swept her up in his arms: "Hahaha, I’m going to be a dad!"

He twirled her around in circles in excitent, stopping only when she hit his arm hard enough to make him let go.

"Ugh! Feeling dizzy!" Li Si closed her eyes and massaged her temple. What was with this guy? He was acting like a clueless fool, completely different from his usually calm and composed self.

"Feeling better now?" Even Leng Mochen felt he’d gone overboard. He quickly sat by her side, relieved to see that her complexion still looked okay.

"Yeah!" Li Si nodded, feeling a lot better.

Leng Mochen hugged her close and gently touched her flat stomach: "It’s really amazing—our baby is in there right now!"

"It is, isn’t it? Pinch for a second. Why does this feel like a dream?" Li Si still hadn’t fully co to grips. How could she be pregnant just like that?

Leng Mochen chuckled and lightly pinched her cheek: "Does that hurt?"

"Ow! It hurts! But, it’s so weird—haven’t we been careful every ti? How did I get pregnant?" Li Si’s brain finally started working properly. From what she rembered, his precautionary asures were always pretty thorough.

Leng Mochen guiltily rubbed his nose: "Well, precautions aren’t 100% foolproof. Maybe there’s always that one fierce little survivor, and it succeeded!"

In fact, he knew very well what happened. Judging by the tiline, it must have been that one ti in the shower. He’d gotten carried away and forgotten—but at the ti, she’d been so tired and dazed, she probably didn’t notice either.

The more he explained, the weaker his voice beca, and Li Si looked at him suspiciously, sensing sothing was off.

"Really now?"

"As true as pearls!"

"Fine, talking about it now doesn’t solve anything. What do we do next?" Li Si decided to stop thinking about it. Maybe this was fate—she was always ant to have a baby.

"Of course, we get married imdiately!" Leng Mochen declared firmly.

Li Si pretended to smirk mischievously: "What’s so great about marriage? I actually think things are better the way they are now—so much more freedom!"

"You cheeky little brat, trying to provoke , huh? If you don’t marry , are you planning to beco a single mom? We’re getting registered first thing tomorrow!" Leng Mochen’s tone allowed no argunt.

"Oh my gosh, that’s way too soon!" Li Si gasped. Her original plan had been to wait until graduation to tie the knot, and this would move her tiline up by almost a year.

Leng Mochen gritted his teeth and playfully pinched her nose: "Soon? You want the baby to be born without proper registration?" His quick-thinking excuse was brilliant.

"You know about that too?" Li Si was genuinely amazed at how much he knew.

"Mm-hmm!" He nodded proudly.

Li Si sighed: "Fine. But let’s hold off on the wedding ceremony for now. Let’s wait until I’ve had the baby and recovered—then we can plan sothing nice, alright?"

She knew Leng Mochen had always wanted to give her an extravagant, beautiful wedding. Such events required ti and wouldn’t happen overnight.

Plus, with her pregnancy just starting, who knew if she’d struggle with morning sickness later? Her health needed priority.

And the Leng Family was in chaos at the mont, making this an unsuitable ti for a wedding anyway.

"Alright then! But we’ll still go to Bali for our honeymoon—is that okay? And we’ll release Xiao Guai when we’re there!" Leng Mochen excitedly suggested, never forgetting how Li Si felt regretful for not releasing Xiao Guai at Monkey Park.

"Definitely! Xiao Guai will probably beco king of the monkeys! But first, let’s go back to North City and visit my dad’s grave, alright? I want to share the good news with him too."

Leng Mochen nodded, "Okay!"

The two began discussing all their plans for revisiting Bali.

Li Si then glanced at the ti, realizing it was already past 9 o’clock. "Do we still need to go to the hospital?"

"Of course! You just sit tight, and I’ll grab so clothes for you!" He hurried into the wardrobe and quickly picked out a pink sports T-shirt and, from the wall-sized shoe cabinet, chose a pair of white flat shoes.

Pregnancy was different from usual; flat shoes were safer and more comfortable.

Once dressed, they headed straight to a large hospital. As for concerns about Long Wu and Su ng from last night, the soon-to-be parents had completely pushed them out of their minds. Who still had the energy for that kind of worry now? (To be continued. If you enjoy this story, visit Qidian (qidian) to vote for recomndations and monthly tickets.
