Li Si and Leng Mochen handled all the arrangents and boarded the flight to Beijing on Christmas Eve.

To avoid the bittersweet farewell scene, Li Si declined Bai Shasha and Jiang Fan’s offer to see her off, accompanying Leng Mochen onto the plane headed for Beijing.

In the first-class cabin, Li Si stared blankly out the plane window, lost in thought. Leng Mochen gently stroked her silky hair, "What’s on your mind?"

Li Si turned her head, her face tinged with sorrow, "I’m wondering about what’s to co. All the unfamiliarity ahead—will I regret this decision?"

"You won’t regret it. You’ve got ," Leng Mochen held her tightly in his arms. "Get so sleep. I’ll wake you up when we arrive."

Li Si obeyed and closed her eyes, leaning against his warm shoulder. After a while, her chaotic thoughts faded, and she unexpectedly fell asleep.

Leng Mochen gazed tenderly at her sleeping face. She really seed exhausted—the slight parting of her lips made her sleep appear sweet and peaceful, absolutely adorable in his eyes. Several attempts by flight attendants to chat with him were t with his cold dismissal.

They arrived safely at their destination. Having managed a restful nap, Li Si felt noticeably brighter.

Leng Mochen pushed a suitcase while she carried a small black backpack. Seeing Mrs. Leng and Tian Yaruo standing a short distance away, Li Si felt a sudden pang of discomfort. Whose side would she join? And who was the stylish short-haired girl standing behind them?

"Mochen! Li Si! Over here! How was the trip? Li Si, let introduce you. This is Mochen’s younger sister, Leng Ning—you two seem to be the sa age!" Mrs. Leng greeted them enthusiastically before making introductions.

Li Si smiled warmly, "Hello! Great to et you!" Then she turned to Mrs. Leng, "Auntie, you really didn’t need to co all this way—it’s such a hassle!"

Mrs. Leng looked at her son, now truly back in Beijing, and felt a budding fondness for Li Si. At the sa ti, a subtle sense of discomfort erged—how dare he prioritize his wife over his mother?

Leng Ning’s short, chic hair complented her fair complexion and lively big eyes. "Hello! You’re so beautiful!"

Li Si’s shy smile hid genuine appreciation, "You’re beautiful too!"

She then glanced at the emotional Tian Yaruo standing nearby. "Oh! You’re here too!"

"Yes! It’s great you’re here! How about coming to my place first?" Tian Yaruo stamred, her lips trembling. Sweetheart still had a place for her in her heart!

"That wouldn’t be right! It’s not appropriate to visit your ho before going to mine, don’t you think?" Mrs. Leng interjected hastily, visibly anxious. Before leaving the house, she had promised the elder that she’d bring her precious grandson and future granddaughter-in-law ho first. She wouldn’t let anyone steal her thunder!

"You’re right, Aunt Tian. I’ll make ti to visit you later," Li Si responded tactfully, unable to bring herself to call her "mom" or even "godmother." Under pressure, she cleverly chose "Aunt Tian."

Besides, she genuinely didn’t want to visit Tian’s ho. Who knew if those troubleso Tian Yaru and Ye Duowei would be there? Her instinctive aversion to the Yan Family only heightened her reluctance.

"That’s fine then! There’ll be plenty of chances in the future. I’ll arrange sothing in a few days!" Tian Yaruo seed to understand—it wasn’t a matter that could be rushed. She’d patiently wait for Sweetheart to accept her as her godmother. After all, tradition dictated that their visit to Mr. Leng Sr. ca first.

Arriving at the Leng Family’s old estate, Li Si was imdiately struck by how different it was from what she had imagined. She had thought the independent villas in North City were impressive, but the estate dwarfed her expectations.

From the mont their car passed through the majestic black gates, she couldn’t stop herself from glancing everywhere. This wasn’t just a residence—it was a sprawling estate!

She lacked the discernnt described in novels to estimate its size with just one look. Nonetheless, the fact that the car drove for five minutes without arriving at its destination—and passed two uniquely designed villas on the way—hinted at the extraordinary expanse of the property.

Through the car window, she saw dense woods and then an endless stretch of grassland that felt like a golf course.

Eventually, she spotted a distant Arican-style villa with artificial mountains and flowing water at its entrance. The car stopped, and Li Si nervously stepped out.

Leng Mochen tenderly gripped her small, cold hand, "Why are your hands so icy?" It puzzled him since the temperature in Beijing wasn’t particularly low.

"Oh? Is it?" Li Si pondered—judging by the grandeur here, would Mr. Leng Sr. be easy to get along with? Would he approve of their relationship? Even though she had so wealth, comparing herself to them was like comparing an ant to an elephant.

"Don’t be afraid. I’m here for you. Just be yourself!" Leng Mochen reassured her, sensing her apprehension. Despite the impressive sights, he knew he could provide everything for her if she desired.

Li Si took a deep breath to steel herself. Yes, what was there to fear? No matter how wealthy soone was, they still ate, drank, used the bathroom, and slept like everyone else. Besides, as long as he loved her, others’ opinions wouldn’t matter. Building her inner courage, she smiled and nodded, "Alright!"

Amused, Leng Ning leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "Li Si, my grandfather may look serious, but he’s actually a kind man." She offered a reassuring smile.

Seeing the younger generation whispering among themselves, Mrs. Leng couldn’t help but prompt them, "Shall we head inside? Your grandfather must be anxious from waiting!"

Li Si gratefully smiled at Leng Ning before falling in step behind Mrs. Leng as they headed into the villa.

Upon entering, they were greeted by a grand living room where a spirited elderly man with snow-white hair sat on a large black leather sofa. He wore a gray wool sweater over black trousers and leather shoes, with a carved mahogany cane by his side.

His sharp gaze scanned the newcors, lingering slightly longer on Li Si.

Mrs. Leng approached him first, "Father, were you getting impatient? This is Li Si, the girl I’ve ntioned. Co here, Li Si, and greet your grandfather!" She beckoned Li Si over.

Li Si maintained a poised yet friendly smile as she stepped forward. "Hello, Grandpa Leng!"

Mr. Leng Sr. studied her from head to toe before nodding and cracking a faint smile. The tension in the air seed to ease. "Not bad, young lady. Mochen, co here too!"

Leng Mochen joined her at the front. "Grandfather!" His tone carried imnse respect—a sentint rooted deeply in his heart, regardless of identity or circumstance.

"Good. You two make a nice couple. Especially you, young lady—you’re kindhearted. I’m sure Mochen’s mother has told you about my connection with Elder Yan. It seems fate has woven our families closer. Please, have a seat and make yourselves at ho!" Despite his stern deanor, Mr. Leng Sr. nodded affirmatively.

Everyone followed his instructions and sat down, their attention fixed on him.

"Mochen, your complexion looks much better! It seems agreeing to your stay in North City for recovery was the right choice. How’s everything now? Has your health fully recovered?" Mr. Leng Sr. asked with deep affection for his favorite grandchild.

"There are still occasional discomforts, but I can handle them with dication." Leng Mochen feigned weakness, his tone gentle. Li Si’s expression remained neutral, but internally, she scoffed—such an actor! She couldn’t recall a single ti he had taken dication. A true master of theatrics!

Still, she knew this wasn’t the mont to get distracted. She sat up straight, fully focused on the conversation.

Mr. Leng Sr. sighed deeply, "I had hoped that once you recovered, you could assist Mohao at the company. But given your condition, focus on your recovery first. Your accident remains my deepest heartbreak. Thankfully, fate was rciful, and you pulled through. Otherwise, I’d never forgive myself!" (To be continued.
