A chill swept in.

Xu Xiuwen shivered, finally speaking, “Cheng Lu, aren’t you cold?”

Cheng Lu turned to him, her face calm. “I’m not cold,” she replied, though her tone lacked warmth, it wasn’t dismissive either.

Xu Xiuwen felt she was much better than before.

He rembered Cheng Lu at the dinner table.

At the table, Cheng Lu was friendly and accommodating, not showing any disdain towards toasts and conversations with strangers.

This Cheng Lu was like a different person compared to before.

Honestly, the Cheng Lu at the table was closer to his mory of her and more in line with the image of Bai Yueguang in his heart.

Xu Xiuwen wondered if he had a masochistic tendency.

Previously, when Cheng Lu was indifferent and cold towards him, he didn’t get angry; instead, he felt a slight liking towards her.

Of course, he would prefer the Cheng Lu at the table.

The rest of the way passed in silence.

As he dropped Cheng Lu off at the won’s dormitory, his task was completed, and he was ready to leave.

Cheng Lu, who hadn’t spoken much, suddenly spoke.

“You’re just going to leave like this?” Cheng Lu’s pleasant voice ca from behind.

Xu Xiuwen turned in surprise to look at her, asking, “What do you an?”

Cheng Lu gazed at him, her eyes as clear as water. “I can help you call Xiao Youran down,” she said, her tone a bit cold.

Xu Xiuwen didn’t know why she suddenly ntioned Xiao Youran. Just as he was about to refuse, he rembered what Liu Zhihao had said earlier.

He paused and tentatively asked, “Do you want to help call her?”

Cheng Lu turned her head to the side.

Her posture was upright, her height of 1.7 ters, coupled with the unique aura ford by long-term dancing, made her look proud, aloof, and ethereal.

“I don’t like getting involved in other people’s feelings,” Cheng Lu said lightly.

Xu Xiuwen was once again stunned by Cheng Lu’s words.

She wasn’t refusing to help or offering to help, but rather saying she doesn’t want to interfere in other people’s feelings.

What did that an?

Xu Xiuwen couldn’t grasp her thoughts and hesitated for a mont before saying, “I didn’t plan to see Xiao Youran tonight. I just wanted to make sure you got back safely since you had been drinking.”

Whether it was an illusion or not, Xu Xiuwen felt that after he finished speaking, Cheng Lu’s expression softened slightly.

He continued, “Cheng Lu, I’m going back now. You should go upstairs and rest.”

Cheng Lu nodded.

Only then did Xu Xiuwen turn and leave.

Cheng Lu glanced at Xu Xiuwen’s back for a mont, then quickly averted her gaze and walked into the dormitory building.

Back in Room 301.

Cheng Lu lightly knocked on the door, waited for three seconds, then pushed it open and walked in.

As soon as she entered, she saw her three roommates sitting on the chairs below.

Xiao Youran, Song Siyu, and An Shishi were chatting, but they stopped as soon as Cheng Lu entered, though the smiles on their faces remained.

Cheng Lu wasn’t interested in what her roommates were talking about.

She returned to her seat and started tidying up her personal items.

It was Song Siyu who took the initiative to ask, “Cheng Lu, did you go to the Student Union tonight?”

The Student Union had recruited new mbers after the military training.

In Room 301, except for An Shishi, who was busy with her part-ti job and didn’t sign up, Song Siyu and Xiao Youran signed up for the Office Departnt and Discipline Inspection Departnt, respectively.

It’s not as easy to get into the Student Union as it is to get into the College Student Union; you have to go through an interview to stay.

But for Song Siyu and Xiao Youran, it wasn’t difficult.

As campus beauties, their interview process went extrely smoothly.

The assessnt was even simpler; as long as they didn’t make any mistakes in the first month, they would be fine.

Both of them smoothly passed the interview and beca mbers of the Student Union.

But they couldn’t compare to Cheng Lu.

Cheng Lu directly beca the deputy minister of the Literary and Art Departnt, while they were just ordinary staff mbers.

There were many things to do in the Student Union, with frequent etings, sotis departntal etings, sotis collective etings.

Song Siyu was in the Office, so she had more contact with the Literary and Art Departnt and knew more about their departnt.

Now that the New Student Welco Party was over, the Literary and Art Departnt didn’t have much to do recently, so Song Siyu was curious to ask.

Cheng Lu heard Song Siyu’s question and saw the other two roommates looking over.

She thought for a second before saying, “I attended a dinner party of the Managent and Engineering tonight.”

A dinner party of the Managent and Engineering Departnt?

Upon hearing these words, Song Siyu and the others were all surprised.

They were marketing majors, and marketing majors were part of the Managent and Engineering Departnt.

As students of the Managent and Engineering Departnt, they didn’t know there was a dinner party tonight, which was quite surprising.

Before the three roommates could ask, Cheng Lu explained, “It’s the Managent and Engineering Departnt of Jiangling College.”

“I see.” Song Siyu nodded, but as she nodded, she realized sothing was wrong.

She exclaid in surprise, “The Managent and Engineering Departnt of Jiangling, isn’t that where Xu Xiuwen’s major is?”

Xiao Youran also realized it and looked surprised, with a hint of doubt in her eyes.

Cheng Lu continued to tidy up her things and said, “Yes, it’s their departnt. Tonight, the class monitor invited to dinner, so I went.”

Upon hearing Cheng Lu’s explanation, Xiao Youran’s little face tightened.

She hurriedly asked, “Cheng Lu, why would Xiao Xu’s class monitor invite you?”

Cheng Lu had heard Xiao Youran ntion Xu Xiuwen several tis in the dormitory, knowing that the person she referred to as Xiao Xu was Xu Xiuwen.

Cheng Lu put down the things in her hand, turned to look at Xiao Youran, and said with a glance, “You should ask Dong Jun about this instead of .”

Xiao Youran continued to ask, “Then why didn’t you tell that you were going to attend their departnt’s dinner party?”

“Do I have an obligation to tell you?” Cheng Lu didn’t like Xiao Youran’s tone and replied bluntly.

Xiao Youran felt defeated. She subconsciously bit her lip, looking aggrieved.

An Shishi hugged her from behind.

In the dormitory, Cheng Lu was used to being alone and didn’t have a particularly good relationship with the other three.

Song Siyu and the others were closer to each other.

So Song Siyu took the initiative to say, “Cheng Lu, you know the relationship between Xu Xiuwen and Yoran. Why are you mad at her?”

Cheng Lu imdiately asked Song Siyu, “Did I say anything? She ca at with accusations first. May I ask if I have any obligation to inform her? And as for the relationship between your so-called Xu Xiuwen and her, what exactly is it? Are they boyfriend and girlfriend?”

Xiao Youran really wanted to say yes, but she didn’t have the confidence to do so.

However, she didn’t want to give up, so she exclaid angrily, “Xu Xiuwen and I have known each other for eighteen years, we’re the closest!”

Cheng Lu smiled faintly at her words. “Then you should ask him instead of .”

Xiao Youran was rendered speechless by Cheng Lu’s nonchalant response.

Cheng Lu turned back to continue tidying her things, then suddenly rembered sothing and said, “Xu Xiuwen escorted back tonight. He dropped off at the dormitory entrance and just went back.”
