“Shan Cai? Are you still half asleep? Are we acting now?”

Bai Yue’er had a sowhat rebellious tone, humming unreasonably, “But the drama hasn’t finished yet. Even if I’m your Shan Cai, you treat differently, which makes upset.”

Xu Xiuwen remained silent, quietly gazing into the girl’s eyes.

Bai Yue’er also noticed his gaze, feeling a little startled. She asked nervously, “Why are you looking at ?”

Xu Xiuwen withdrew his gaze, rubbing his chin as if in thought, then spoke.

“I’ve thought about it, and you have a point. Alright, I’ll treat you better until the drama is over.”

“Really?” Bai Yue’er asked in surprise.

“Are you expecting candy?” Xu Xiuwen teased.

Hearing Xu Xiuwen’s words, a sweet smile reappeared on her face.

Bai Yue’er, not entirely reassured, said, “You better keep your word.”

Xu Xiuwen nodded earnestly, “Don’t worry, I always keep my promises.”

Bai Yue’er imdiately said, “I want to eat xiaolongbao, will you accompany ?”

Xu Xiuwen hesitated for a mont, “Eating xiaolongbao takes too long, doesn’t it?”

Bai Yue’er pouted imdiately, “You just promised !”

After all, he couldn’t go back on his word imdiately.

He reluctantly said, “Alright, I’ll accompany you to eat xiaolongbao once.”

“Hehe~~”

Bai Yue’er imdiately smiled, her expression changing as swiftly as flipping a page.

The two of them arrived at a stead bun shop, where rows of steaming baskets were stacked at the entrance.

Xu Xiuwen glanced around the shop and noticed there weren’t many custors.

Bai Yue’er walked straight into the shop and told the boss, “Two baskets of xiaolongbao and two bowls of porridge, please.”

“Please have a seat inside; it’ll be right out,” the boss replied.

Bai Yue’er walked into the shop and found an empty table to sit at. Seeing Xu Xiuwen still standing at the door, she waved and called out, “Xu Xiuwen, co in quickly, there’s a seat here.”

As Bai Yue’er spoke, her lips ford a thin smile, her sparse eyebrows also smiling, as were her eyes.

Xu Xiuwen looked at her smile and paused.

Quite charming, isn’t it?

Returning to his senses, he walked over and sat next to the girl.

The boss soon brought over a basket of xiaolongbao and two bowls of porridge.

Bai Yue’er excitedly took out two pairs of chopsticks from the chopstick box, handing one pair to Xu Xiuwen and keeping the other for herself.

She reached for a xiaolongbao from the stear with her chopsticks, bringing it to her mouth and gently blowing on it. “I heard the xiaolongbao at this shop is delicious, and I’ve never tried it before.”

As she was about to take a bite, the bun’s skin scalded her mouth.

“Ouch~~ so hot~~”

Bai Yue’er looked like a child who had been wronged, pouting as she looked at the bun in front of her.

Xu Xiuwen couldn’t help but chuckle.

Seeing this, Bai Yue’er imdiately glared at him.

Xu Xiuwen stood up, grabbed a small plate from the dish rack, and then grabbed the vinegar bottle from the table, pouring so vinegar into the plate.

“Who eats xiaolongbao like that? You’re supposed to dip it in vinegar, and if you eat it so hastily, of course, you’ll burn your mouth.”

Xu Xiuwen patiently explained, also teaching her the proper way to eat xiaolongbao.

“You either bite it open from the top or take a small bite to suck out the tender soup inside, then dip it in vinegar. That’s the correct way to eat it.”

Bai Yue’er pursed her lips but didn’t say anything.

Xu Xiuwen demonstrated it himself.

Bai Yue’er followed suit, blowing a few tis, then gently taking a small bite, sucking out the soup inside.

The aty, flavorful soup was incredibly tender, and Bai Yue’er’s eyes lit up.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much soup in each xiaolongbao, and she sucked it all up in one go.

She was about to dip the bun in vinegar when she noticed that Xu Xiuwen had just dipped his bun. She imdiately said, “You dipped it in vinegar, how can I eat now?”

Xu Xiuwen replied unenthusiastically, “Go get another plate and pour so vinegar yourself. You think I’m dirty, well, I think you’re dirty too.”

Bai Yue’er wrinkled her nose at him, saying, “Fine.”

After saying that, she dipped her bun into the vinegar on the plate, regardless of the fact that Xu Xiuwen had just dipped his bun in it, leaving a faint oily sheen on the surface.

Xu Xiuwen noticed her action and paused.

He wondered, was Bai Yue’er genuinely not bothered, or was she pretending to be clueless?

Two people sharing one plate of vinegar?

Even Ning Wanqiu wouldn’t share vinegar with him.

What was going on in Bai Yue’er’s mind?

Since Bai Yue’er was willing to share vinegar with him, Xu Xiuwen certainly couldn’t do the sa.

He fetched another plate and poured vinegar into it.

Seeing him do this, Bai Yue’er wrinkled her nose at him.

Then she started eating breakfast.

The xiaolongbao were so delicious that she kept squinting her eyes, her face filled with happiness.

After finishing breakfast, the two of them hurried to the film set.

For the next three days, they were busy with intense filming.

It’s unknown how Bai Yue’er communicated with Shi Xiangming, but during these three days, Shi Xiangming didn’t show up at the film set.

On the third night.

After finishing filming, Xu Xiuwen returned to his dorm room, turned on his computer, and started updating his novel.

Before publishing, Xu Xiuwen had worried that readers on Jinjiang might not like the fantasy genre of “Three Lives Three Worlds.”

But reality proved otherwise.

The novel did very well, ranking high on various charts.

Xu Xiuwen had only updated less than half of the novel, but he had already earned over 500,000 yuan in royalties. It was foreseeable that when it was completed, the royalties would start at least a million yuan.

So Xu Xiuwen was still very motivated to write.

After updating the novel, Xu Xiuwen spent so ti writing. Unknowingly, it was already nine o’clock.

He stretched lazily, about to take a break and drink so water, when he suddenly saw a text ssage on his phone.

He picked up his phone and glanced at it. It was a text ssage from Bai Yue’er.

In the text ssage, Bai Yue’er told him that she was downstairs at his dormitory right now and asked him to co down.

It was already nine o’clock, and Bai Yue’er was asking him to co downstairs at this hour? Xu Xiuwen wondered if sothing had happened to her.

Without delay, Xu Xiuwen shut down his computer and left the dorm room.

He walked to the front of the n’s dormitory building.

It was already dark outside, with only the light above the entrance illuminating a small area.

He looked around but didn’t see Bai Yue’er’s figure.

Just as he was feeling puzzled, he heard soone softly calling, “I’m over here.”

Xu Xiuwen turned his head and noticed a girl waving at him from behind a bush by the dormitory pathway.

It was Bai Yue’er.

Xu Xiuwen chuckled silently to himself.

He rembered how Tang Weiwei had hidden in a similar spot when he went to find her at the won’s dormitory building.

Now Bai Yue’er was doing the sa.

Did all girls like hiding behind bushes?

Xu Xiuwen’s advice was that girls should avoid hiding behind bushes; it might be risky.

Xu Xiuwen briskly walked over to where Bai Yue’er was, stopping in front of her and calmly asked, “What’s the matter for you to find at this late hour? Couldn’t it have been discussed over text?”

Bai Yue’er glanced at him, then imdiately lowered her head, her cheeks flushed.
