Aurora was deep in sleep, her body relaxed, completely at ease. The room was quiet, the air cool, wrapping her in the perfect cocoon of comfort. But then—her phone rang, the sharp sound piercing through her peaceful slumber. It wasn’t just once or twice; the device buzzed relentlessly, breaking the serenity of the night.

Her brows furrowed in irritation as she groaned, pulling the blanket over her head in an attempt to block out the noise. She hated being disturbed when she was asleep—absolutely loathed it. And whoever dared to wake her up at this hour had better have a damn good reason.

If not... they should count themselves lucky if she didn’t beat them half to death.

Aurora groggily opened her eyes, her face dark with irritation as she fumbled for her phone. The relentless ringing had already soured her mood, and the second she answered, a sharp, ear-piercing scream nearly made her throw the device across the room.

"You bitch!!" Lily’s shrill voice screeched through the speaker. "If you still consider your mother, co here right now! Or I swear, I’ll tell the whole world how unfilial you are!"

Aurora pulled the phone away from her ear, rubbing her temple as she stared at the screen with a deadpan expression.

Without a second thought, Aurora ended the call and, with a few swift taps, blocked the number. A satisfied smirk played on her lips as she tossed the phone aside and went to sleep.

"Hello? Hello?!" Lily’s voice grew sharper with frustration as she stared at her phone screen. Seeing the call disconnected, her hands clenched around the device, her nails digging into her palm.

"This bitch... just wait until the day I kill you myself!" she spat, her chest heaving with rage.

Without wasting another second, she dialed another number. The mont the call connected, her tone turned cold and commanding.

"Find her. Now. I want her imdiately."

Early the next morning, Aurora woke up before sunrise and stepped out for a jog. The crisp morning air carried the scent of salt and the faint whisper of waves crashing against the cliffs.

Her Cliffside mansion sprawled across a vast estate, with a private jogging track winding through the property.

The path stretched along the edge of the cliffs, offering a breathtaking view of the endless sea, where the golden hues of dawn painted the water in shimring shades.

As she ran, the rhythmic sound of her footsteps blended with the distant cries of seagulls.

After finishing her jog, Aurora returned to her room to freshen up. The cool water against her skin washed away the sweat, leaving her feeling refreshed and awake. Dressed in comfortable loungewear, she made her way to the kitchen, her mood surprisingly light.

As she moved around, gathering ingredients, she began whistling softly—a rare mont of ease in her otherwise chaotic life. The scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as she cracked eggs into a pan, the gentle sizzle adding to the morning’s tranquility. Cooking had always been a simple pleasure, one of the few things that truly relaxed her.

With practiced ease, she flipped a pancake onto a plate, humming to herself.

Jenny ca downstairs, her small feet padding softly against the cool floor. As soon as she spotted Aurora in the kitchen, her face lit up with excitent.

"Big Sis! Big Sis!" she called out cheerfully, her voice filled with warmth. "Good morning!"

Her bright eyes turned into crescent moons as she bead at Aurora. "I had such a nice sleep yesterday!" she added, stretching her arms with a contented sigh.

Aurora turned to her with a soft smile, her heartwarming at the sight of Jenny’s happiness. "Good morning, sleepyhead," she chuckled. "Co, breakfast is almost ready.

One could easily see the change in Jenny—she was no longer the weak and tired girl.

From a young age, sleep had been her greatest fear, a ti when pain and tornt crept into her dreams, turning them into nightmares

. She had spent countless nights trembling, afraid to close her eyes, knowing the horrors that awaited her.

But last night was different. It felt almost unreal, like a distant dream. For the first ti in years, she had slept soundly, without fear or pain.

And now, as she stood there, her face glowing with energy and her eyes sparkling with newfound liveliness, it was clear—rest had finally found her.

Bishop finally returned ho after a long night. He had been busy carrying out the mission Aurora assigned him. His steps were steady, but there was a hint of exhaustion in his eyes. Even so, his expression remained calm and focused.

"Bishop, have you found a suitable nanny for Jenny?" Aurora asked as she sipped her coffee, her gaze calm but expectant.

"Boss, I found one, and she will be coming today. You can et her, and if all goes well, you can decide," Bishop reported.

Luna trusted Bishop’s judgnt, so she didn’t think twice. "Not required. Keep her," she replied. "I trust your instincts."

After the three had a peaceful breakfast together, Aurora led Jenny to her bedroom. Today was her second day of treatnt.

She gently laid Jenny on the bed and carefully inserted the silver needles into precise points on her body.

Unlike the previous session, Jenny didn’t experience much exhaustion this ti and remained calm throughout the process.

After about 15 minutes, a foul sll began to fill the room, followed by a thick, dark liquid oozing from the needles—toxins leaving Jenny’s body.

Aurora observed carefully, ensuring the process was complete. Now, Jenny’s body was free of the harmful substances, and any lingering traces would be flushed out through the dication she would take.

Aurora initially estimated that Jenny would need five sessions of acupuncture therapy to cleanse her body completely.

However, to her surprise, Jenny was much stronger than she had expected. Seeing this, Aurora decided to use a more complex thod today, one that required greater precision and control.

She carefully adjusted the placent of the silver needles, targeting deeper acupuncture points to accelerate the detoxification process.

This thod was more advanced and demanding, but it would ensure Jenny’s body recovered faster and more effectively.

Ah... this little soul has more willpower than most grown-ups, Aurora thought, admiration flickering in her eyes.

Still, despite her resilience, Jenny would need ti to recover fully. The toxins had taken a toll on her internal organs, and healing wouldn’t happen overnight.

Aurora knew she had to be patient and continue providing the best care to help Jenny regain her strength.
