Lu Jiaxin’s Japanese stocks were sold within a day, and the real estate was sold out in three days. From this, one can see how much the stock and real estate markets are being offloaded.
Compared to stocks and real estate, the investnt Lu Jiaxin and Nie Zhan made took longer, being flipped in two weeks. Moreover, only thirty percent was given at contract signing, with seventy percent to be paid off within half a month.
The Nikkei Index Lu Jiaxin purchased is due on December 29th. As soon as the market opened that day, Deng Weihai, Mo Libin, and Sang Wen went to the securities company. The Nikkei Index has been rising continuously these past few years, and Lu Jiaxin earned a windfall, even Nie Zhan was taken aback.
With the funds coming in, Lu Jiaxin instructed Deng Weihai to transfer the funds as per her plan: "There’s no business over there, you can co back now."
"Alright, boss."
In the evening, Nie Zhan returned and said to Lu Jiaxin, "Do you know how much the Nikkei Index closed at today? 38,957 points. My stock manager says it will continue to rise."
It’s just 43 points short of reaching 39,000, which ans that the next ti the market opens, the Nikkei Index might fall, or it may rise for one more day before plunging.
Lu Jiaxin silently breathed a sigh of relief, thankful the contract expired today, because if it were next month it would be risky. However, on second thought, it wouldn’t drop like the 1987 stock crash, which fell so much in a day.
Seeing her like this, Nie Zhan curiously asked, "Jiaxin, Jiaxin, what are you thinking about?"
Lu Jiaxin snapped back and smiled, saying, "Thinking we have a three-day holiday, where should we go to play? Just in Hong Kong, not going outside."
If we go outside, there might be sudden incidents again, one after another. It’s really a bit scary.
Nie Zhan thought for a mont and said, "Let’s stay a few days at Dahao, the scenery there is nice, and we can play golf and tennis, or go fishing if interested."
Now isn’t the right weather for going to sea, otherwise, we could have invited so friends to have fun at sea. Everyone enjoyed it last ti.
Lu Jiaxin smiled and said, "We can invite Hu Zhifeng, Tao Yong, and Brother Yuan, and have them bring their families along. I’m sure they’d be willing."
"Brother Feng and Tao Yong are fine, but Hu Huihui might not be suitable since she’s pregnant, right?"
Lu Jiaxin said, "She’s already four months along. As long as we don’t go to rough places, it’s fine. Keeping soone cooped up at ho all the ti makes them fretful, which isn’t good for the baby."
Nie Zhan actually wanted so alone ti just for them, but thinking that just the two of them might not be fun, he said, "I’ll invite Brother Feng and Tao Yong, and you can invite Su Heyuan."
The villa is still under construction. Once it’s done, we can stay there on weekends or short holidays. The environnt is nice with lots of activities, perfect for relaxation. For now, we’ll have to stay at soone else’s place.
Su Heyuan hesitated when he received the call: "Huihui is pregnant; it might not be convenient, right?"
These n all say the sa thing. But the roads in Dahao are very smooth; as long as you’re not purposefully climbing rocks, there’s no problem at all. However, since this concerns the Su family’s next heir, Lu Jiaxin knew they valued this pregnancy imnsely, and she didn’t want any responsibility: "If you think it’s inconvenient, then never mind. You should stay ho and keep sister-in-law company!"
Su Heyuan was sowhat disappointed, but still decided not to go: "We’ll get together after your sister-in-law gives birth."
Later on, Zong Shing called Hu Huihui, asking if sothing was bothering her.
Hu Huihui was puzzled: "No, sis, why are you asking this all of a sudden?"
Zong Shing deliberately said: "Well, it’s the weekend and New Year’s, and Jiaxin invited us to Dahao. When I heard Heyuan say you weren’t going, I got worried sothing might be wrong with you."
"What, Jiaxin invited us to Dahao? I wasn’t aware of that?"
Zong Shing guessed as much and laughed: "Maybe they’re just concerned about you and want you to rest well at ho."
Upon hearing this, Hu Huihui couldn’t help but complain: "I’m just pregnant, not terminally ill and bedridden. Having these constant restrictions and prohibitions makes feel like a useless person."
Zong Shing couldn’t help but laugh; she went through the sa thing during her first pregnancy. But precisely because of this experience, she wanted Hu Huihui to get out more. A mother in good spirits ans a healthy baby.
Just after eight, Lu Jiaxin received a call from Su Heyuan, saying they planned to join them in Dahao the next day.
Lu Jiaxin laughed and asked, "Why the sudden change of heart?"
"Your sister-in-law found out about it and is giving grief! Besides, she’s been feeling down these days, and going out will do her so good."
Hu Zhifeng is being a great dad, wanting to bring the kids along too. Zong Shing, however, was reluctant but wouldn’t say it outright: "Jiaxin is going to Dahao to relax, bringing Kai Kai and Yinyin would give everyone headaches. If you want to take them out, we can do a family trip next week."
Bringing kids on a trip would an spending all the ti taking care of them.
"What about Xiaobao then?"
Zong Shing said, "We can take Xiaobao along; just let the nanny watch over him."
The little one is well-behaved and not troubleso, while the other three each have their own issues, and just thinking about it gives a headache. It’s a rare chance for a peaceful vacation, better let it be a quiet one!
Hu Zhifeng was almost considering not going, but it was a rare invitation from Nie Zhan which he couldn’t refuse.
When they t up in Dahao, Lu Jiaxin saw Hu Xiaobao and jokingly gestured: "Last ti I saw him, he was so small, now in just over three months, he’s grown so much."
"Kids grow at the speed of light."
Although they brought the kids along, Zong Shing left them with the nanny and housekeeper. Both were very diligent, leaving her with no worries.
Once everyone sat down, Hu Zhifeng asked, "Tao Yong, have you set the wedding date?"
Tao Yong smiled and said, "Yes, March ninth. The family picked out the date, and my in-laws have agreed."
The Tao Family is wealthy too; although Tao Yong can’t inherit the family business, he owns a company worth seven or eight hundred million. With such qualifications, there isn’t much to criticize. Once he proposed, it was approved without hesitation.
Nie Zhan felt a bit dejected. Fu Ye and Tao Yong’s relationship had its ups and downs, yet they’re the ones getting married. anwhile, he still doesn’t know when he’ll even tie the knot!
Lu Jiaxin turned to Yu itong and asked, "Such a major event, why didn’t you tell us?"
Yu itong smiled and said, "I originally planned to tell you in person today, but then you invited us to Dahao."
Lu Jiaxin said, "You previously ntioned wanting to design the wedding dress and gowns. But now it’s already January, and with two months until your wedding, the year-end is busy for the company, so I might not have ti to design a satisfactory dress and gown."
Yu itong had thought of this issue as well: "Does your company have soone skilled in wedding dress design? Let them design it, and you can oversee."
Lu Jiaxin smiled and said, "That’s no problem. I’ll call her later, and you can arrange a ti to discuss with her what kind of wedding dress and gown you want."
Yu itong thought for a mont and said, "How about two in the afternoon?"
This is when everyone is resting in their rooms, especially since Lu Jiaxin has a habit of taking a nap. Arranging it at this ti neither disrupts playti nor delays things.
