The head of Lu Jiaxin’s costics company is nad Ye Zhen, who was poached with a high salary by Lu Jiaxin from another costics company. Initially, Ye Zhen refused because he thought Lu Jiaxin’s costics company was too small and lacked distinctive products. It wasn’t until Lu Jiaxin showed him a few new products that she had tried and found to be good that he agreed to join. With strong funding, a bold leader, and improved traditional formulas, the company will certainly grow bigger and stronger.
After sending Lu Hongjun and others off on their flight, Lu Jiaxin went to the costics company to discuss with Ye Zhen the future developnt of Yongjia Costics. It was originally called Xiyi Costics, but after acquisition, it was renad Yongjia.
Lu Jiaxin said, "I plan to bring in a batch of the most advanced equipnt. The factory of Yongjia Costics is too small. It’s more cost-effective to buy a piece of land in the Mainland to build a factory. Shall we go investigate this week?"
Building factories in the Mainland has beco a trend, as prices, land prices, and labor are all very cheap. Ye Zhen asked, "Boss, how large a piece of land are you planning to buy this ti?"
Lu Jiaxin naturally ant the more, the better: "My goal is to make Wanjia Costics the largest costics company in both Hong Kong and the Mainland. So the larger the land, the better, thus we won’t need to buy additional land when expanding in the future."
Ye Zhen had personally used so of these products and found their results comparable to major brands. He nodded and said, "I’ll head over to Hong Kong for inspection the day after tomorrow."
To set up a factory in the Mainland isn’t sothing that can be decided with just a few words. One must go there to investigate and, after finding a suitable site, communicate with the local governnt.
The two talked for half a day, and it was only when it was ti for lunch that Lu Jiaxin left. As for Ye Zhen, he ate the working lunch at the company. Having been a salaryman who often had irregular als and always ordered takeout, after becoming a boss, Lu Jiaxin provided free lunches for the company’s employees. This benefit was very much appreciated by the staff.
For lunch, Lu Jiaxin had arranged to et Zong Shing at Fuyun Restaurant. This eting wasn’t for shopping but for discussing supply matters.
Zong Shing’s beauty salon had already been renovated and was scheduled to open next month: "The sample products you gave , I had soone try them, and the effect was excellent. Especially the dicinal bath, it made the skin smooth and delicate and even improved sleep."
The dicinal bath was sothing she used herself. Of course, this dicinal bath was prepared by a female doctor she had invited at great expense from the Mainland, recomnded by Lu Jiaxin.
Lu Jiaxin said, "These skincare products made from Chinese herbal dicine, apart from being expensive and having a short shelf life, are flawless. But Sister Shing, it’s enough to have the dicinal bath a few tis a month; no need to soak too often."
Zong Shing laughed, "I actually want to bathe every day, but each bath costs two to thirty thousand, and three to four tis a month is enough; more than that, I can’t afford."
Lu Jiaxin chuckled and said, "Sister Shing, I am planning to grow Chinese herbal dicine in the Mainland; would you like to join?"
Zong Shing asked in confusion, "Why plant it yourself? Can’t you just buy from them?"
Lu Jiaxin explained, "It’s a two-pronged approach. We lease land to plant ourselves, and at the sa ti, we purchase from local villagers. Otherwise, if we rely entirely on buying materials, it’s easy to be pinched."
Zong Shing felt that growing Chinese herbal dicine wasn’t profitable, but since Lu Jiaxin invited her to invest, she didn’t refuse: "Sure, handle the shares as you see fit."
Lu Jiaxin lightly laughed, "How about twenty percent? If planting goes well, you won’t need to look all over for the dicinal materials needed for your beauty salon in the future."
So herbs take two to three years, or even longer, to be usable. This ant her beauty salon could keep going for many years.
Zong Shing smiled widely and said, "Thanks for your blessing. I hope my beauty salon can grow bigger and stronger."
"Certainly."
The second dish was served when Yu itong finally arrived. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and, looking at the dishes on the table, smiled and said, "Luckily, I wasn’t too late."
Lu Jiaxin smiled and said, "We aren’t in a rush, so don’t run over next ti."
Yu itong had planned to co out an hour earlier, but unexpectedly, just as she was about to leave, the design director called a eting. Naturally, work was more important, so she attended the eting first.
After a busy morning and then rushing over, Yu itong was starving. Given how well everyone knew each other, she didn’t stand on ceremony: "Sister Shing, Jiaxin, let’s eat while we talk."
After eating, her stomach wasn’t as uncomfortable, so Yu itong said to Lu Jiaxin, "I broke up with Jiang Yuanjiu, on the day of your engagent banquet."
Lu Jiaxin was quite surprised, mainly because Yu itong seed in great spirits that day, showing no signs of a breakup: "What happened, did he bully you?"
Yu itong laughed, "Even if he had ten guts, he wouldn’t dare bully . I felt our principles didn’t align, so I broke up with him."
This was clearly just an excuse. Lu Jiaxin said, "When we went shopping last ti, you said you were going to et his parents and planned to marry before . Yet, in less than two weeks, you broke up. Clearly, sothing’s up with him. Sister itong, if you don’t tell , I’ll have soone check."
If he bullied Yu itong, not to ntion that Jiang Yuanjiu was her introduction, but with the friendship between the two over the years, she wouldn’t stand by and do nothing.
Yu itong saw her serious expression and said with a smile, "Really, there’s nothing. I’m not a pushover; how could I let him bully ? His ex-girlfriend ca back, and not only did he et her privately, but he also accompanied her to the hospital for check-ups..."
She sighed and said, "It was the day before your engagent party in the afternoon when her check-up results ca out—early-stage breast cancer. Because of this, she was emotionally devastated and wanted to commit suicide, so he stayed with her. Then his phone died, and he overslept the next day."
"I felt awful, so I texted him saying we broke up. That afternoon he found , and I originally thought I was impulsive, but knowing she had this illness, I resolutely broke it off."
Lu Jiaxin imdiately understood, "You suspect she already knew about her illness, then deliberately returned to find Jiang Yuanjiu, using this illness to get back together."
That woman, nad Li Wei, had family in Hong Kong. Instead of having her family accompany her for check-ups, she specifically asked her ex-boyfriend to accompany her. Just right on the day before her engagent party, she was diagnosed, then stirred up a suicide attempt, forcing Jiang Yuanjiu to stay overnight at her place—what a scheming woman!
Zong Shing gasped and said, "It can’t be, right?"
Lu Jiaxin said, "So she wants to first break up Jiang Yuanjiu and Sister itong, and then the two of them get back together, so she can gain Jiang Yuanjiu and Jiang Family’s care."
Zong Shing did not agree with this statent: "A normal man, even if he doesn’t already have a girlfriend he’s about to marry, wouldn’t get back together with an ex-girlfriend who has cancer."
Although early-stage breast cancer can be cured, the treatnt requires not only a substantial amount of money but also care. Unless there’s deep love, who would sacrifice so much otherwise?
