Given Lu Jiajie’s temperant, he would probably ask Lu Jiaguang for help, but she didn’t want to trouble Jiaguang with everything. It wasn’t an ergency anyway, so waiting a bit was fine.

Lu Jiajie suggested finding soone to pick an auspicious day for the grand opening, but Lu Jiaxin didn’t want to wait and directly set it for Sunday.
Big Sister Chen felt this was too hasty and said, “Xiao Lu, that won’t do. You need to pick a lucky day to open for good fortune.”
Lu Jiaxin said nonchalantly, “I checked the almanac, and Sunday is suitable for opening.”

Looking at her, Lu Jiaxin said with a smile, “Sister Chen, so clothes may need to be altered. Xiao Qiu and Xue Mao are okay at managing the shop, but they can’t do alterations or nd clothes. If you’re willing, I hope you can stay and work at our shop.”
So clothes needed alterations, such as hemming the pants or adjusting the waist. Lu Jiaxin intended to offer these alterations free of charge, considering them an invisible benefit for custors. Of course, this was also because labor was cheap at the mont; it wouldn’t be cost-effective in the future as it is now.
Big Sister Chen really wanted to take on this work, but she didn’t have the ti.
Lu Jiaxin said with a smile, “You don’t need to be here all day, just from one to five in the afternoon. Any new clothes sold at our store can be altered for the custors for free. If they bring in old clothes for you to alter, you can charge a fee.”
Since it was only four hours a day, Lu Jiaxin planned to pay thirty, not covering als or transportation expenses.
Big Sister Chen’s eyes lit up. It was only a little over half an hour from her ho to Xiushui Street. She could finish all her house chores in the morning and spare ti in the afternoon to help out at the shop.
After weighing it in her mind and finding no issues, Big Sister Chen said, “Xiao Lu, let discuss it with my husband tonight, and I’ll give you an answer tomorrow.”

Lu Jiaxin spoke again to Xue Mao and Xiao Qiu, “Today is Thursday, and our shop opens on Sunday. We have two days left. You two go out and distribute flyers during these two days.”
“Distribute flyers? What kind of flyers?”
Lu Jiaxin showed them a flyer she had written the day before, thinking that since Xue Mao didn’t read much, she began reading it aloud: “Buy one piece of clothing and get a pair of socks for free; buy three pieces and get a pair of gloves; spend three hundred or more on clothes, shoes, and socks and get a 10% discount; five hundred or more and get a 15% discount.”
She had chosen clothes that were good quality and fashionably designed, so the prices were on the higher side. The least expensive item was eighteen, and the most expensive was one ninety-eight. However, the discount and gifts were only available for the first three days after opening, and not after that.
Xiao Qiu felt dizzy listening to all this.
Xue Mao was the quickest to react, “So if they spend three hundred and get a 10% discount, do they still get the free stuff?”
Lu Jiaxin explained, “They get the free items on top of the discount. The more they buy, the more they get, and it’s more cost-effective.”
Qian Xiaoxiao felt that this way of accounting could easily lead to mistakes: “This is too complicated. Rather than give free items and discounts, you should do just one or the other. Mixing both gifts and discounts can be confusing.”
Lu Jiaxin thought about having an extra person at the paynt area, soone responsible just for handing out the gifts: “Lu Zhang and Zhenzhen don’t have classes on Sunday, right? Let’s ask them to help out then.”
Lu Zhang was in grade seven, and Zhenzhen in grade four. Back then, it wasn’t like in the future, where kids had to attend tutoring classes and had lots of howork. The two siblings didn’t attend tutoring classes and could finish their howork in the evening, so there was no big problem asking them for help. Especially Zhenzhen, she was quick with numbers.
Xue Mao wasn’t sure about it.
Lu Jiaxin said with a smile, “What’s the problem? Lu An is in grade eleven and too busy with his studies to help, but it’s not hectic for Xiao Zhang and Zhenzhen. This will be good training for them.”
Actually, she was the sa age as Lu An. But because her original self was extraordinarily bright and started school at five, and then skipped a grade, she would still be in grade eleven like Lu An.
Of course, she’d need their parents’ approval for this, so Lu Jiaxin called Wang Xiaojie right away to ask.

Wang Xiaojie laughed and asked, “Jiaxin, what’s the na of your store? I’ll recomnd it to my colleagues, have them shop at your place. You don’t know, but the outfit you bought for , they all said it was beautiful and praised your good taste.”
They all wore uniforms at work, but she had worn that outfit to a dinner where a colleague was celebrating a promotion. Everyone complinted how good it looked and asked where to buy it.
Lu Jiaxin smiled and said, “The store’s na is Xinxin Clothing Store. Not the ‘xin’ from my na, but the ‘xin’ made of three ‘gold’ characters, symbolizing abundant wealth.”
Wang Xiaojie thought the na was very good, as making money was what business was all about!
