With a bright smile on her face, Rinne made her way toward the eting room.

Her morning had started just the way she liked—catching a glimpse of Hades. That was becoming a routine now. If there was one good thing to co out of this ss, it was that she could finally pursue the man she loved, openly and without sha.

Of course, he was still on guard around her. Understandable. The man had just been betrayed by soone he once called a brother.

But Rinne wasn’t letting that stop her. She used every excuse, every little mont to be close to him—to show him that soone was still on his side. When everyone else had turned their backs, she offered him her shoulder. Her loyalty. Her heart.

Maybe it was wrong, but in her eyes, it was forgivable. For love, a little sin was allowed.

She would always be his support. His safe place.

Still... "Why did he have to tell to stay away?" she pouted to herself, her cheek puffing up in frustration.

Hades had told her this morning that he’d been followed for the last two days. He’d already taken out one of the stalkers, but the man died before revealing who he worked for.

It wasn’t hard to guess, though. Both Hades and Rinne had a good idea who might be behind it.

Rinne didn’t want to stay away, but Hades had reminded her—she couldn’t blow her cover just yet. She needed to stay in Cedric’s good graces for now, at least until they had enough to expose him. Only then could she act freely.

She agreed—but only after making him promise sothing in return.

One wish.

And oh, what a tempting thought that was.

"Would showing up in his room wearing nothing but lace be too much?" she wondered with a smirk, biting her lip playfully. Or maybe just the right kind of bold?

Her cheek was still warm with that mischievous thought when she turned the corner—and bumped into soone.

"Kayla?" Rinne blinked, her brows lifting. "You look miserable. What happened?"

There was a fresh cut just above Kayla’s brow, and a harsh red mark blazing across her cheek.

Kayla avoided her eyes as she muttered, "It’s nothing."

Rinne tilted her head slightly and humd, "If you say so."

With a casual shrug, she started walking past—only to be stopped.

"If you’re heading to the team room," Kayla said, her voice low, "don’t."

That made Rinne pause.

"Cedric’s... not in a good mood right now," Kayla added, a hint of weariness slipping through her words.

Rinne glanced over her shoulder with a smirk playing on her lips. "You’re his lover, right?"

Her tone was soft, but the words sliced clean. "And yet he hit you. Pushed you out like trash."

Her eyes glead as she continued, "And ? I’m just a team mber." She let the words linger, then leaned in just slightly, voice almost teasing, "Wanna see how he treats ?"

Kayla’s frown deepened, but she didn’t reply. She just stood there, watching Rinne walk down the corridor.

And when Rinne entered the room... There was silence.

That silence made Kayla’s heart tighten.

She waited a mont, then crept closer, her footsteps quiet. Pressing herself to the edge of the doorway, she carefully peeked in—just enough to see.

What she saw made her breath hitch.

Cedric—her Cedric—the sa man who just minutes ago had thrown a glass against the wall, scread at her, shoved the maid aside like she was air, that sa furious man was now flustered.

Rushing.

Moving the cushions from the couch like a nervous teenager trying to impress soone.

For her.

For Rinne.

Kayla’s chest ached with sothing heavy. Her nails dug into her palm as she stood frozen, watching that soft, rare expression on Cedric’s face. He didn’t even know soone was watching him.

Then Rinne glanced up.

Their eyes t for the briefest mont. Rinne smiled—slow and sweet.

But to Kayla, it felt like a blade being twisted.

She clenched her jaw, turned, and walked away.

Behind her, Rinne let out a soft scoff as she crossed her legs, settling into the now-cleared couch like a queen who’d just claid her throne.

This is just the beginning, she mused to herself, a spark of wicked satisfaction in her eyes.

Sothing big is coming. And when it does... you’ll see.

"Thank you for coming to see ," Cedric said, taking the seat across from her.

"Oh... I just ca to ask about the next mission," Rinne replied plainly.

Cedric froze for a second—but before he could respond, she added softly, "But you look miserable. Is it because of what happened yesterday?"

She sounded innocent. Concerned.

But inside, she was grinning. Watching the Prince torn and restless was oddly satisfying.

Such bliss. She wished she could show this to Hades.

"That bastard," Cedric muttered bitterly. "Only Hades and Graham knew about my condition. And when he got kicked out... he turned on ."

He clenched his jaw. "Pathetic assh—"

"Cedric\~"

Rinne’s gentle voice stopped him cold. A shiver ran down his spine.

When he looked up, she was smiling sweetly—just like always.

"Hades saved once. So no matter what, I still respect him. Please don’t curse him in front of ," she said calmly.

Cedric respected her words and bowed his head slightly. "You’re right. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have lost control."

Rinne said nothing in return.

He let out a breath and leaned back in his chair. "Did you find out who sent that letter?"

Her eyes turned cold.

For a mont, the urge to slice that tempting royal throat was overwhelming.

But she stayed composed.

"Not yet," she said evenly. "But I’ve made a promise to myself—once I do, I’ll make them understand why I was once called unfit to be a saintess."

Cedric shifted in his seat, visibly uneasy.

"I hope you find them soon," he said quietly.

Rinne gave him a soft smile.

"Oh, I know I will."
