A grin spreads across my face at the sight of the ssage. But that’s not all as I soon find a Legendary Feat quickly replacing it.

I stare blankly at the notification for several seconds before nodding my head once and muttering to myself, “Looks like I broke it.”
Zal suddenly appears next to , no doubt thanks to the System bugging out and the fact that the dungeon’s protections are gone now that its boss is dead. Then he floats up and narrows his eyes at the Legendary Feat notification.
“This is unexpected…” Zal mutters, only to glance at and back at the notification again.
And then to do a doubletake at again as his eyes widen in shock and he exclaims, “What?!”
I open my mouth to ask if sothing’s wrong, only for to notice it as well when I focus on Zal. The lack of that earlier feeling I would get from looking at a Quantum Being.
Until now, I’d always have a general sense of the hierarchy just from looking at another Quantum Being. Like it’s strictly set in stone how I place, and like the universe itself has a tight grasp on .
But now? As I look at Zal?
That feeling has strongly diminished.
I can still vaguely sense the hierarchy, but I don’t feel like the universe has anywhere as much of a grasp on than it used to.
“Is this because of your devourer blood…?” Zal mutters to himself while floating in circles around . Clearly interested in the developnt.
And why wouldn’t he?
I know for a fact that one of the things most Quantum Beings want the most is to free themselves from the universe’s clutches. To be able to use their full power without worrying about the consequences forced upon them by the universe.

And now I’ve done that on accident. To a degree.
It feels like I can use my True Form a little bit against people who aren’t targets of the universe now before the universe cos at .
Right now it’s too much of a risk to use it in a serious battle though. Since I don’t know how far I can go without crossing the line.
I’ll have to carefully test it later.
On that note, I go ahead and open my status for the first ti in quite a while.

Yep. That’s one massive increase.
And with my prior boost from that berry from before – the one that increased my MAG and N stats by one thousand points permanently – my stats are looking quite good right now.
Not to ntion that this isn’t even showing the stat boosts I get from my gear.
I can’t help but grin at my status.
And since I’m an Ascendant now, every stat point is worth a lot more real strength than before. Since the effectiveness of every stat point increases with one’s Tier.
That’s the main reason why crossing Tiers in battle is so difficult. Especially with the vast gap between Tier 5 and Ascendant Tier in particular.
It also looks like I’ve been restored to peak condition after Ascending. Which is to be expected.
It doesn’t take long before my gaze locks onto the boss’ corpse. Completely putting off the matter about the universe’s restrictions being partially lifted for now.
Because I want to deal with those annoying pests who chased across the universe not too long ago as soon as I can.
And now is a perfect ti to test out my new racial skill.
My grin grows even wider as I move up to the tiny little piranha’s body before reaching my hand towards it and activating the skill. Following which a large rift in space itself appears in the form of a sinister-looking pitch black maw. One that moves over the piranha and chomps right down.
Engulfing the thing within itself in a single bite.
Then I feel power rushing into and see various pitch black lines reaching from the maw into myself. Filling up and making feel stronger.
And after several seconds of this, a new System ssage appears in my vision.

I got a new skill from it. And it’s the thing’s shell.
But that’s not all as I also feel a new affinity settling into place.
Making soon realize that I’ve now gained the power to control and generate void mana.
Now this is one incredible racial skill.
All thanks to Mom and her devourer blood.
I chuckle at that thought before turning around to look at the large and quite fancy looking boss chest floating in front of . With an infuriating little piranha’s head engraved at the front and center of the chest.
Let’s see what other little gifts this piranha has in store.
Here’s hoping they’re as good as what the boss just gave .
