On the immortal plane, instances of Legacy Worlds were a bit different.

Dyon’s first run-in with a legacy world had been the Demon Sage’s. Back then, Force Academy had to go out of their way to look for its location and even sacrificed the lives of thousands of their students just to gather up enough power to open it.

In addition to this, Dyon rembered that the catacombs of the Belmont Royal Clan had many Legacy Worlds hidden within it. Much of the quick build up of strength of his Empire was due to exploring and plundering these worlds.

This was all to say that Dyon wasn’t unfamiliar with Legacy Worlds. That said, they functioned differently on the immortal plane.

The main and most important difference was that Legacy Worlds, especially those that ca from Immortal Gods, fundantally couldn’t be cleared in a single try.

Immortal Legacy Worlds could almost be considered as independent planes of their own. So of the most powerful ones even had special laws all to themselves.

As a result of this, immortal legacy worlds usually went through cycles. They had irregular orbits and would float between reality and the ethereal. Sotis, when they ca close enough to the real plane, they would break through and open for a period of ti before shuttling away again.

Unfortunately, a by-product of this was void surges. Though it wasn’t the only reason one might occur, it was definitely one of them.

Every ti an immortal legacy world appeared, one could enter for a period of ti but would have to exit before it slipped back into the ethereal world or else they would be stuck there until the next ti the world crossed into the real.

This might sound like a great thing. After all, as long as the world eventually ca back, wouldn’t that an you’d have more ti to explore and gain benefits? Unfortunately, this was definitely a case where more was not better.

In that in-between realm, void beasts were rampant. And, this wasn’t just void beasts of normal levels, but even heaven defying Tier 9 void beasts had a good chance of appearing a few tis within a hundred year cycle.

In addition, in that place, there was no qi beside void qi. Due to this, one would slowly wilt away, your ridians drying and your body losing the sustenance it needed to survive over ti. Without a thod of telling when the world might appear outside the void again, you might very well die before even getting the chance.

Beyond this, even if by so miracle you were strong enough to battle these void beasts alone and sohow brought enough qi crystals to survive however many millions of years it would take for you for the immortal legacy world to reappear, there was sothing even more impossible to contend with lying in wait.

Even aside from the fact living creatures would be completely torn apart when shifting between reality and ethereal, the laws of the immortal legacy world would beco distorted in that in-between realm.

Not only could such a thing disorient a person, but it could very well lead to death. What if the laws shifted in such a way that your insides beco your outsides and vice versa? What if the laws changed such that only beings who had thoughts of suicide were allowed to exist? It doesn’t even have to be as complicated as this either, the laws could even shift such that no living beings were allowed to exist at all.

This was the true reason no one dared to remain within an immortal legacy world after it closed. The changes in these laws were completely unpredictable and could play with even an Immortal God to death. This also happened to be the reason no one dared to venture out and kill void beasts at their source…

How void beasts survived in such an environnt? It was completely unknown. But for now, it was only possible to be on the defensive against them.

Even with all these dangers, though, immortal legacy worlds were still impossibly valuable. This was why it was so odd that the Earl would dare to speak of this in public. But, it was also sothing that made Dyon take the Earl the tiniest bit more seriously.

Whatever this man’s goal was, he knew the concept of going big. Dyon didn’t doubt that the immortal legacy world he spoke of was real, and that made this man all the more fierce.

‘Interesting…’ Dyon’s lip curled.

He was a man who had crushed the greatest intellectual minds on the mortal plane. He really wanted to see if the minds of the immortal plane could pose him a challenge.

This legacy world was likely a lower Immortal God. It was still impossibly valuable, but not valuable enough for hegemons to spend the wealth necessary to co here. This ant that those who would be vying for this world would be those this Earl felt were still within his abilities to deal with.

After spending so many of his last years of life either ditating in front of a world core or standing in a lab, he hadn’t stretched his legs in a long ti.

“Alright, I will help you, then.” Dyon said casually, his voice holding a magnetism to it.

The Earl grinned wildly, unable to hide his enthusiasm.

‘This man is wearing sothing that’s able to block the Eostre bloodline’s ability to read emotions. I have a feeling that he didn’t want to appear before until he grasped this treasure first. Maybe he can give so fun after all.

‘… Though, he’s definitely going to regret giving a line of credit I don’t need to pay back.’

The two n looked at each other with smiles in their eyes, both scheming and both believing they were far more intelligent than the other.
