It did not take long at all for those who had bet that most of the Serva Stones Izroth opened would be trash to lose their money. It seed that no matter what Serva Stone was peeled open, there would be at least a rare treasure inside of it. This was sothing that had never happened before throughout the entire history of the Golden Treasure Hunt!

One of the spectators sighed and said, "If not for the trustworthy reputation of the Golden Treasure House and the fact that Serva Stones are impossible to manipulate, I would have thought that this entire thing was a publicity stunt by the Golden Treasure House."

"Even if it’s the Golden Treasure House, that would be too much. I’m no appraiser, but even I can tell that the value of those opens found so far easily exceeds the price that person must have spent on the Serva Stones. There are a few I have my eye on. It looks like the auction this ti around will be quite interesting." Another one of the spectators comnted.

It was well known that the vast majority of treasures found through the Serva Stones were placed up for auction for those rich rcenaries, powerful figures and nobles to purchase. Of course, there was a reason most people decided to leave the treasures they found in the hands of the Golden Treasure House.

Many years ago, a small ti rchant discovered an incredible treasure from one of the Serva Stones at the Golden Treasure Hunt. Having a rchant’s greed and not wanting to share the profits with anyone, that rchant avoided using the Golden Treasure House. In the end, he decided to take the opportunity to find a buyer himself to purchase the item. However, the mont he stepped foot outside the influence of Danaharpe, his entire rchant group was wiped out without a single trace.

The official reports was that the rchant’s group had run into a natural calamity. However, those with a bit of common sense were able to piece things together. Without the protection of the Golden Treasure House and the Golden Dragon Association who backed them, that rchant was unable to protect the treasure he obtained.

Ultimately, there were too many powerful forces at play who constantly had their eyes on what transpired during the Golden Treasure Hunt. And, while they would not dare to target those under the protection of the Golden Treasure House, the sa could not be said if that person left their protective wing.

Since that infamous incident, the only people who were brave enough to not entrust their items to the Golden Treasure House were either powerful figures confident in protecting their own treasures. Or, influential force with the strength to keep what was rightfully theirs.

"Esteed guest, I have categorized all of the items obtained thus far. The attendants will continue to monitor Serva Master Gillian’s progress and ensure that no one interferes. Also, allow to apologize for the crowd. Since the Golden Treasure Hunt acts as a way to promote the Golden Treasure House itself, this kind of spectacle will encourage others to try their luck. As such, I have been instructed by my superiors that should you choose to place any of the items up for auction, the Golden Treasure House is willing to waive the standard 30% handling fee. Instead, the Golden Treasure House will only take a 10% cut. Of course, this also includes Serva Master Gillian’s 3%." Pearl explained as she handed over a scroll that contained a list of the catalogued items.

Izroth accepted the scroll and began to look it over.

’I chose Serva Stones with values of at least 50 or higher. Most of them are rare treasures; however, a decent number of them probably don’t exist anywhere in the Mortal Realm due to the passage of ti. Plus, there are certain items that I have no intention of handing over. Still, this offer... I suppose the Golden Treasure House doesn’t want to risk these treasures going to the hands of those with ill intentions. Well, it isn’t bad to entrust this matter to them. Although we aren’t officially partners yet, should I lend a small hand?’

"There are quite a few items I wish to keep for myself; however, I am willing to put up a reasonable number for auction. However, since this is a sowhat delicate matter, I wish to leave it in the hands of soone capable and trustworthy." Izroth started.

A radiant smile ford on Pearl’s face as a look of relief flashed through her eyes. Her superiors pressured her to convince Izroth to place the items up for auction. If she failed, they would have undoubtedly blad it on her incompetence.

"Of course, I will make sure-" Pearl began; however, she was suddenly interrupted.

"You can stop here, Attendant Pearl. Since I’m here and it’s such an important guest, I will handle this matter myself." A naturally arrogant voice sounded in the near distance.

When Pearl heard that voice, she imdiately fell silence. She placed her hands politely in front of her body and gave a respectful bow.

"I greet the Third Pavilion Lord." Pearl said graciously as she hid her nerves.

The other nearby attendants also imdiately stopped their work to greet the man who arrived.

The man appeared to be in his early to mid thirties. He had long crimson hair with the upper part tied up neatly with a pair of light blue eyes. He had a rough appearance and a natural air of authority about him—as if he looked down on those around him he considered to be unworthy. He wore a set of extravagant robes that breathed an air of extre luxury.

This man was none other than the Third Pavilion Lord of the Golden Dragon Association, Braxul.

’No wonder this person has such an air of arrogance about him.’

During his conversation with Vexpela, Izroth discovered that she and her siblings who were competing to beco the next Head of the Golden Dragon Association were each assigned to a Pavilion and granted the title of Pavilion Lord.

Vexpela was the Fourth Pavilion Lord. As for the Third Pavilion Lord—according to what he knew, the person in charge was the eldest among her siblings.

Braxul tilted his nose upward as he casually waved his hand and said, "Alright, go back to handling those nial tasks of yours. Can’t you see I’m trying to talk to our guest?"

"Y-yes, at once. Excuse us." Pearl replied as she quickly gave a aningful look to the other attendants as they walked away with hurried stepped.

’Despite being siblings, the two of them are nothing alike.’

Unlike Vexpela who perford the duties of a floor master and worked together with the attendants of the Golden Treasure House, it was obvious that Braxul saw them as nothing more than convenient tools.

’I can see why he was given the Third Pavilion despite being the eldest sibling.’

The Pavilion one was the Lord of in the Golden Dragon Association determined the value the current Head of the Golden Dragon Association placed on that person as a potential successor.

But, despite being the Third Pavilion Lord, the reason why Braxul was considered to be the second most likely candidate to inherit the Golden Dragon Pavilion had to due with two factors. The first was the fact that he was the first born child of the current Head. And, the second had to due with the influence held by his mother’s family.

Izroth could guess exactly why such a person would approach him.

"I heard you’re a Diamond-Level VIP of my Golden Treasure House. I know all the Diamond-Level VIPs since there are less than ten of them; however, it’s the first ti I’ve seen you around here. Well, that doesn’t really matter. The reason I ca to speak with you is that I want to make you a good offer. As long as you join my side in the succession fight against my siblings, wealth, won, treasures, power, whatever you want—I’ll see that you have it the mont I beco Head of the Golden Dragon Association." Braxul said with a bold air of confidence.

He then continued, "Regardless of your background, as long as you’re useful, I’ll treat you well. This kind of opportunity is one that only cos around once in a person’s life. I’m sure you won’t let such a valuable chance go to waste."

’This person... Is there sothing wrong with his head?’

Izroth was a bit taken aback. He had co across many individuals who tried to recruit him or get him to join their side throughout his live. And, it was not the first ti soone told Izroth that he would be essentially tossed aside if he ever beca useless. However, it was always done in a more tasteful and subtle way—a veiled threat of sorts. Yet, this person just outright said indirectly that he wouldn’t hesitate to toss him aside so confidently.
