Lucius was stunned to hear the declaration of the old man. The person from whom his mother, Evelina, kept him away was before her.

"Dad, I brought Aiden on your request," a voice ca through and Lucius turned to look. It was Tsar, the one who killed Matteo. His fists clenched and he gazed at Aiden, wanting to see if there was any sign of harm on him.

"Boss, you should not have co here," Aiden said with a worried gaze. "They won’t let you return," he pronounced.

"You have quite weak minions, Lucius. This isn’t the way Romanov Mafias work. Evelina snatched you away from , that’s why you couldn’t beco a fine mafia-like us," Vladimir said.

Lucius marched toward Tsar, ignoring his father’s words, and checked on Aiden. "They didn’t harm you, did they?" He asked, placing his hands on Aiden’s neck.

"They didn’t, Boss," Aiden replied.

Lucius swiftly turned and punched Tsar and he stumbled back. The n present in the living hall pointed their guns at Lucius, but he didn’t care and once more punched the Tsar.

"Why did you kill Matteo? Finally, I have my hands on you!" Lucius muttered and quickly took out the sharp knife from beneath his boot, which he had hidden well from those guards’ eyes.

"I will kill you for taking the life wrongly," Lucius said and raised the knife to stab Tsar with full force when Vladimir’s voice bood through.

"Leave your elder brother if you want Aiden to live. Every gun is now pointed at him," he pronounced.

"Boss, just kill Tsar," Aiden said after he saw Lucius had stopped.

Tsar pushed away Lucius with a chuckle and stood up finally. "He is still a weakling, Dad. I told you to target Layla. If she had gone from his life, he would have learned to beco stronger," Tsar stated.

"Don’t take Layla’s na with your filthy mouth. Why did you call Matteo?" Lucius shouted, wanting to know the answers that he had been chasing for such a long ti.

"Send Aiden back to Russia," Vladimir said.

"I won’t leave without my boss," Aiden protested.

"Kill him," Vladimir ordered.

"Stop! Please," Lucius requested and turned to look at Aiden. "You need to leave. That’s the best way to protect you," he asserted.

"And what about you? What will I tell Layla?" Aiden’s eyes widened in dismay.

"Just tell her I’m fine and will be returning soon," Lucius told him.

"You aren’t going anywhere, Lucius. You will live with us from now onward," Vladimir intervened, clarifying him. "It took long to finally et my second son," he affird.

"I’m not your son! I’m Alekis De Salvo’a son. You hold no value in my life. I am returning to Italy with Aiden," Lucius announced, "after killing Tsar."

"Seems like you didn’t shed these pathetic emotions even after Matteo’s death," Vladimir muttered, his hand moving to the temple of his forehead to press it. "Why don’t you take a seat and we talk with a calm tone?" he asked.

"I have no intention to sit with you and talk calmly. Just answer my questions. Why did you kill Matteo?" Lucius asked. "Were you the one who destroyed his family? And why did you do that?" he questioned.

"Matteo challenged my authority. He knew about my son but refused to tell it was you. Evelina was hiding well after changing her identity. She’s the one who separated us, son," Vladimir said.

"What am I asking you and what are you answering ? Why did you kill my friend? He was innocent," Lucius let out a frustrated sigh.

"I killed Matteo, so you should be asking , not Dad," Tsar answered. "Dump Aiden to Italy," he ordered his n, who ca forward, before returning his gaze to Lucius. "You were never a De Salvo. If you want, we can bring your wife here. However, it’s best to keep a weakness away because we are into real mafia business unlike you, who wag his tail around that woman."

Tsar’s tone was more brutal than Vladimir.

"Make your decision quickly. If you want to rebel, then I have a much better way to teach you the lesson," Tsar threatened him.

Aiden couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Lucius was in a life-and-death situation. He felt guilty for trapping Lucius in this.

"I want ti," Lucius said and looked at Vladimir. "Give so ti to disappear completely," he asserted.

"Don’t listen to him, Dad. He is going to fool us," Tsar said.

"No. I am not lying. Unlike you two, I have people who love ," Lucius said. It was the most difficult decision of his life, but he wanted to keep Layla safe and the only way for it was his disappearance from her life.

"How do you want to do it?" Vladimir questioned as if he was considering Lucius’s request.

"That’s up to to decide," Lucius didn’t reveal his plan to them. "However, give a month to execute my plan. If I fail to respond within this month, you two can co and bring back to Russia."

Tsar refused this idea of Lucius. "Don’t trust him, Dad," he said.

"I give you a week, Lucius. You have Romanov blood in your veins. Plan your disappearance within this week. If you fail, this ti my target will be Layla. You have beco too emotional after getting married, so I’ll end the root cause of it so you can beco a real Romanov, without any feelings. You’ll get your every answer once you return," Vladimir pronounced.

"Alright. A week is enough for ," Lucius said. As he turned to leave, Vladimir’s voice again reached him.

"Don’t try to deceive . I have people all around you," Vladimir stated.

"Dad, are you letting him go?" Tsar questioned.

"Yes. This much I can do for my second son," Vladimir asserted with a smile. "Lucius, have breakfast with us before leaving. I will go to the airport to drop you there," he affird.

"No, thank you. I’m not hungry. Moreover, I don’t have ti to waste. My loved ones are waiting for ," Lucius replied and held Aiden’s arm. "Let’s go," he said and they left the mansion.

"Dad, he will deceive us," Tsar said.

"He will not," Vladimir pronounced with a confident tone.
