Lucius hugged Layla from behind, wrapping a warm blanket around her as she stood on the balcony of their hotel room. "It’s cold here, wife. I told you to wait for in bed," he murmured, his voice filled with concern.

"I wanted to take so fresh air," Layla replied, tilting her head over her shoulder to look at him. His damp hair, freshly tousled from his shower, fell charmingly across his forehead.

She turned to face him fully and kissed his lips while smiling.

She turned to face him fully, her eyes glinting with mischief before pressing a soft kiss to his lips, a smile tugging at her mouth.

"Is this your new way of recharging ?" Lucius asked with a playful, teasing grin.

Without waiting for a reply, he dipped his head, his lips finding the hollow of her throat. He kissed her there, his touch lingering, igniting a shiver down her spine. Layla bit her bottom lip, her breath hitching as she leaned closer, her fingers trailing along his jaw.

Lucius began to trail kisses across her skin while Layla’s hand tangled in his hair. They stumbled back into the room, the cool morning air brushing against their heated skin as the blanket slipped from their bodies and fell near the balcony.

Lucius caught her effortlessly, sweeping her into his arms.

"Are we going to do it again?" he murmured in his voice husky as her lips brushed against his neck.

"You tell ," Layla replied in a daring tone, her eyes locking with his.

"I’m always ready," he whispered, a smirk tugging at his lips before he carried her to the bed.

As they fell together, side by side, their laughter mingled and so did their breaths. Her hand firmly rested on his waist and his too as they kissed each other fervently.

Just then, Layla’s phone rang loudly, interruption their mont.

She turned her head, ready to take it when Lucius held her hand and pressed her lips on hers. His tongue traced her lips, seeking an entry to her mouth. Without resistance, she parted her lips, forgetting about the call completely.

However, this ti, it was Lucius’s phone which rang. Since it was silent, they didn’t hear it.

Layla pressed her hands on his taut chest, pushing him away gently.

Layla pressed her hands gently against Lucius’s firm chest, pushing him away just enough to create so space between them.

"Soone was calling . Let check," she said softly, her gaze shifting toward the bedside table.

Lucius groaned, his head resting against her chest as if reluctant to let her go. "We’re supposed to be taking a break. Why don’t you keep your phone on silent when we’re alone? I feel like smashing it," he muttered, his voice thick with irritation.

Layla chuckled lightly, running her fingers through his hair while staring at the ceiling. "Maybe your father has sothing important to tell us. Or it could be soone else. I doubt anyone would interrupt us without a good reason," she reasoned.

Lucius lifted his head slightly, a frown tugging at his lips. "I didn’t even tell Dad I was going away with you for two days," he admitted. Then, as if shifting gears, he asked, "Are you hungry? Let’s have breakfast at a nice restaurant."

Layla humd in agreent, and as Lucius moved away, she leaned over to check her phone on the bedside table. Her eyes narrowed as she read the ssage from Ruby:

{Call when you’re free.}

Her brows furrowed in concern, and she wondered if sothing might be wrong.

"What’s up?" Lucius asked.

"Ruby wants to call her later," Layla replied, sitting up straight. She glanced at him with a reassuring smile. "Let’s get ready first. Then we can head for the ferry ride," she suggested.

Lucius smirked, his earlier irritation fading as he leaned down to press a quick kiss to her forehead. "Alright."

Demitri woke up early, earlier than he had in weeks, feeling unexpectedly refreshed. After a long, warm shower, he headed to the kitchen and set about preparing a simple breakfast. As the scent of toasted bread and a freshly made olette filled the air, his thoughts wandered back to Nora.

"That was rude of her," he muttered under his breath, recalling her behavior from the night before. He sat on one of the counter chairs, chewing thoughtfully as he tried to make sense of her attitude.

Once he finished eating, Demitri washed the dishes, dried his hands, and moved to the living room. He grabbed his phone from the coffee table and unlocked it, only to find a ssage from an unknown number.

Curious, he opened it.

"Hi. This is Nora Pace, the person you helped last night. Let’s et later."

Demitri let out a chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief. "Is she serious? Last night, she was practically snapping at for helping her," he murmured to himself, the faintest smirk playing on his lips.

He stared at the ssage for a mont, debating whether to reply. Finally, he typed back, "You’ll find at Café Santro at eleven in the morning."

After hitting send, he scrolled through the rest of his ssages. None of them seed important, so he set his phone down and leaned back against the couch.

The previous evening had been pleasant for Demitri as he spent ti with Roger and Aiden, sharing laughs and stories over drinks.

No matter how much he tried to distract himself, he couldn’t shake the thoughts of Lucius and his reckless plan to confront Tsar.

Sitting on the edge of the couch, Demitri ran a hand through his hair. He couldn’t afford to lose Lucius.

"I need to find out more about Tsar," he muttered to himself, his voice resolute. "Maybe my skills can uncover sothing that will give Lucius an edge. If he insists on going to Russia, at least he should be fully prepared."

With renewed determination, Demitri stood and made his way to his office room. Sitting at his desk, he powered on his computer and began his search, sifting through encrypted channels and hidden networks for any trace of information about Tsar—his weaknesses, his allies, and any advantage Lucius could use.
