The door thud opened as both Lucius and Layla entered a suite, which he just booked. His fra pressing on hers, his hands cradled her thin neck as he passionately kissed her.

anwhile Layla had a tight hold on his blazer. She matched the rhythm of his kiss, her entire body was burning hot and she wanted this sensation to leave her body.

She brought her hands to his neck and deftly removed his tie before loosening the buttons of his shirt. Lucius, however, grasped her hands and pinned them to the wall behind her. He withdrew from the kiss and peppered kisses down her jawline to her neck, tasting the softness of her skin. Layla’s body arched toward him, her pulse racing, her desire evident in the way she pressed against him.

She let out a soft moan, her hands trapped under his firm grip, yet her body aching for more. "Lucius..." she whispered, her voice filled with need as she tugged lightly against his hold.

Lucius slowed down, which Layla hadn’t expected. He lifted his head to et her gaze. "We’ll continue this... when you’re not under the influence. When you’re ready to feel everything," he whispered. It was a promise from him. Though it was quite hard for him to resist, he wished Layla would be in her senses when they would do it.

Layla looked at him, her body still humming with the fire he’d ignited, but she knew he was right. She smiled faintly, her heart pounding in anticipation of what was to co. "I will rember everything you’ll do to it. I truly need you. I want to feel loved," she said.

Freeing her wrists from his grip, she gently cupped his face, pulling him closer. Her lips t his in a slow, passionate kiss, her tongue tracing the soft contours of his mouth, teasingly exploring.

She could feel the once again weight of his body pressing against hers, sothing hard pressing insistently against her stomach, igniting a spark of desire deep in both of them.

Lucius gripped her shoulders, gently pushing her back against the wall. His lips trailed soft kisses down her neck, before he nipped her earlobe, drawing a sharp gasp from her. Layla’s fingers slid lower, slowly unbuttoning the last of his shirt.

The mont her fingers brushed against his firm, chiseled abs, he groaned, his breath almost hitching. Layla pressed her lips to his throat, just above Adam’s apple, making him groan again.

"Fuck!"

That was all it took for Lucius to lose control. He swept her up effortlessly, carrying her to the bed.

As he laid her down and hovered above her, his muscular body was fully on display since he already had discarded his shirt. Layla’s eyes widened as she noticed the intricate tattoo across his chest, so of it snaking up toward his neck. It was a dragon tattoo, whose face was spread on his chest while the rest of the body was on his shoulder.

Layla propped herself on her elbows to sit. She traced the tattoo with her fingertips and said, "It looks mighty and pretty on your chest." Her hand stopped on the left of his chest and lay flat there to feel the beats of his heart.

"Your heart..." she t his gaze, not wanting to say the words ahead.

"If you’ll touch and look at like that, of course, my heart will race erratically fast," Lucius murmured.

Layla’s eyes filled with tears as she heard those words. "Rick said he loved . Then, why did he betray ? Is it because I’m not the heiress or is it because I’m the illegitimate daughter of the Rosenzweig Family? He proposed to my half-sister with a beautiful ring while he kept telling he would marry ."

A tear trickled down her cheek and she lay on the bed. Her face buried in the pillow as she began weeping like a child. It was her drunk state that let out these emotions. They were buried deep inside her and there was no one with whom she could even share all this.

Lucius’s jaw tightened, his face darkened and his fingers curled into tight fists to hear Layla cry.

Layla again gazed at him with her teary face and tear-streaked face. "Have your father and mother ever hit you?" She questioned him and without hearing him, she answered, "Mine did. Every day I was hit by them. Am I that hateful? Why did they always believe Orabela and not even once believed my words? I tried my best to be a nice daughter. But in the end, they pushed away, like I was always ant to be discarded," she said with a chuckle.

Lucius let her cry while pledging internally to make all of those who had hurt his Layla pay.

Layla again sat up and this ti, her face was just an inch away from Lucius. "I thought Roderick would love , but I got fooled. I’ve no idea how to love you when my heart is already broken. I don’t know if I’ll get that strength to love soone again."

She patted his chest and tried to hold her tears back. "Lucius, you are a nice man. You deserve better, not a broken woman like . You should have gone to your crush, whom you liked and proposed to her at that ti. But I promise I will make you et her," she said with confidence. Her eyes, her nose and her cheeks all were red by now.

Layla kept peering into his eyes before her forehead t his shoulder. She passed out after blabbering a lot of things. Lucius’ hand instinctively ca to the back of her head and he finally laid Layla on the mattress. Covering her from the duvet, he wiped the tears from Layla’s cheeks.

He brushed a few strands of hair away from her forehead. "Sleep tight, Layla. I will make sure they don’t get a peaceful sleep tonight," Lucius said. He planted a soft kiss on her forehead before standing up. Picking up his shirt, he put it on and left the suite.
