After changing into her training outfit in the jade pavilion, Li Hua began her jog down her usual path. This ti, more aware of her body's limitations and potential, she pushed past her boundaries with deliberate intensity. Her legs burned as she increased her speed, covering more distance than ever before. Sweat soaked through her clothes as she pushed herself to exhaustion, her five-year-old body protesting even as her mind demanded more.

When her legs finally refused to run another step, she slowed to a walk, her breath coming in controlled pants. As she wiped the sweat from her face, her fingers brushed back her hair, grazing against her new celestial diamond earrings. A sudden thought sparked in her mind.

Let's try these new babies out.

She stood still, drawing upon her cultivation training to focus her spiritual energy. With careful precision, she directed the energy flow toward the star-shaped earrings, feeling them cool against her skin as they absorbed her power. Opening her eyes, she sprinted forward—

Nothing. Or at least, nothing spectacular. She was just running normally. Right? A quick glance at her surroundings showed she had moved a few steps from her starting position, but certainly not with the revolutionary speed her mother had described.

Hmm... She attempted the process several more tis, adjusting her spiritual energy output and concentration, but the results remained disappointingly ordinary. Each attempt left her feeling more frustrated than the last.

Trying to shake off her disappointnt, Li Hua walked over to the open field where her new ho sat. If she couldn't master instant movent today, she could at least continue with her strength training. The familiar routine would help clear her mind.

She threw herself into her exercises with renewed determination, pushing each set to failure. Squats until her legs trembled, push-ups until her arms gave out, core work until every muscle burned. The physical strain helped distract her from the earlier failure with the earrings, though the slight weight of them still teased at her awareness.

After completing her training, Li Hua began to stretch out her tired muscles, working through each movent with the precise care that had served her well in both lives. As she stretched, she looked up at her new ho, appreciating how the structure managed to be both impressive and modest at the sa ti. Despite its grandeur, it occupied only a small portion of the vast open field.

"Master!" Little Firefly shouted as he bounced over.

Li Hua smiled and waited for him to get closer.

"Master, all the items have been brought into the ho!"

"Good. Thank you, Little Firefly." Li Hua reached out and patted him.

Rembering her earlier frustration, Li Hua said, "I tried to use the celestial diamond earrings but they wouldn't work."

Little Firefly thought for a mont before responding, "Master, most artifacts require a drop of blood to activate their power for the first ti. Blood creates a bond between the artifact and its wielder."

Li Hua's eyes widened slightly at this revelation. "Does that really work?"

"Of course, Master!"

"Then how were we bonded?" she asked, curiosity evident in her voice.

"I-I'm not sure, Master. But as I've said before, it feels like we were ant to be."

Li Hua gave him a knowing smile and nodded, then reached up to touch one of the celestial diamond earrings. The cool tal felt different now, almost alive with possibility. She rembered her mother's knowing smile when she'd given them to her, and wondered if this was what she'd been waiting for Li Hua to discover on her own.

With careful movents, she removed one earring and held it in her palm, studying its intricate patterns. Perhaps it was ti to forge that bond, to truly make these artifacts her own.

She flipped it around, taking the pointed end and gently broke the skin on her pointer finger. A single drop of crimson welled up, catching the light like a tiny ruby. Li Hua watched, srized, as she pressed her fingertip against the earring's surface. For a mont, nothing happened. Then she felt it—a subtle warmth spreading through the tal, followed by a faint shimr that seed to dance across the celestial diamonds.

Little Firefly let out a soft gasp beside her. "Master, look! It's accepting you!"

The warmth intensified, spreading from her fingertip up through her arm and across her chest. Deep within, she felt her golden core pulse in response, releasing a thread of spiritual essence that flowed naturally toward the earring. The celestial diamond eagerly drew in this offering, its structure seeming to resonate with her very essence. As core and artifact synchronized, they pulsed with an inner light that matched her heartbeat, creating a rhythm that felt ancient and familiar all at once.

Li Hua closed her eyes, letting the sensation wash over her. This was more than just accepting an artifact—it was like awakening a part of herself she hadn't known was sleeping. The connection ran deeper than re ownership; the celestial diamond had taken a small portion of her core's essence, binding itself to her on a fundantal level. When she opened her eyes again, the earring glead with a new brilliance, as if it had been waiting all along for this mont of connection, this sharing of power that would make them truly one.

"Try it now, master." Little Firefly said, his light pulsing with anticipation.

Li Hua nodded, still srized by the profound connection she had just forged.

The earring felt warm against her skin as she carefully fastened it to her earlobe. The mont it clicked into place, a surge of energy coursed through her ridians, making her cultivation base hum with newfound potential. She could feel the artifact's power intertwining with her own, ready to be shaped by her will, waiting for her command like a loyal blade in the hands of its master.

She stood up and, like before, poured a bit of her spiritual energy into the earrings. A soft short note of chis played in her ear, as if telling her it was ready. Li Hua took a step and the next second her body flew—not through the air, but through reality itself.

The world blurred around her, colors stretching into gleaming ribbons of light. Her consciousness barely had ti to register the sensation before she found herself stumbling, then falling, thirty paces from where she'd started. Her reflexes weren't enough to compensate for the sudden displacent—this was movent unlike anything she'd ever experienced, even in her past life.

Eyes wide with shock, she stared back at Little Firefly, who still hovered at her starting point. Golden afterimages trailed between them like scattered starlight, marking her impossible path through space. The movent hadn't felt like running or flying; it was more like the world had briefly ceased to exist between her starting point and destination.

As she picked herself up, her instincts cataloged every detail of this extraordinary movent—the weightless feeling, the complete absence of wind resistance, the way her ridians tingled with residual energy. This wasn't re speed; it was sothing far more profound. Her mother's words echoed in her mind: "Your body will briefly transform into pure energy."

Little Firefly zood to her side, his light practically vibrating with excitent. "Master! That was incredible! You moved like... like..."

"Like lightning on crack," Li Hua finished with a grin, then quickly added, "Not that you know what that ans, Little Firefly." The spirit bounced in confusion, his light flickering like a puzzled firefly, which only made her smile wider. Despite her ungraceful landing, she could still feel the earring's power humming through her ridians, ready for another leap through space—though maybe next ti she'd try to stick the landing with a bit more dignity.

"Let's go!" she shouted as she took a step. But this ti nothing.

"Huh? What happened?" She asked, turning to Little Firefly.

"Hmm, it seems like you have to maintain a constant flow of spiritual energy to continue moving like that. Once you stop feeding spiritual energy to the Celestial diamond earrings, the movent stops altogether," Little Firefly said thoughtfully. "Master, I believe dancing might be the best training for this artifact rather than just sprinting forwards."

Li Hua considered this suggestion, recalling her training as an assassin. Fluid movent had always been key to her success—perhaps the sa principle applied here. The earrings didn't just need power; they needed rhythm, a continuous flow that matched the natural cadence of spiritual energy through her ridians.

"Like a dance with reality itself," she mused, already imagining the possibilities. If she could master this, combine it with her combat training... the applications would be endless.

"Sing to little Firefly." She requested.

"Uhhh, master that's too embarrassing. I can give you a guzheng lody. Is that ok?"

"Mm-hm."
