After waiting a few seconds with no response, Kai decided to try sothing else.

’Alright, if you don’t want to help, it’s good that I know you’re maybe just a little bit stronger than and might not be the fire lion’s match. Still, I rate it that you managed to hit without showing yourself—that’s a good tactic for weaklings’ Kai just tried his best to bait it without even thinking about it, as he just said it casually.

However, this ti Kai finally heard a response. Of course, it was followed by a slap on its head again, but much harder since it even cracked Kai’s head a little bit.

Bam!

"Cats don’t fight!"

Kai kissed the ground harder this ti as his head was fully inside the ground.

’Cat, my ass. There’s no cat that has striped color.’ Kai sneered and lifted his head from the ground as he used his healing skill to heal the crack in his head.

Bam!

Kai kissed the ground once again, in the sa spot at that.

’Fuck, this beast is pissing off.’ Kai thought to himself and vowed in his heart that he would definitely find this bastard and beat him to his content in the future.

Bam!

Kai kissed the ground three tis in a row.

ow!

"Don’t even think about beating cats, or I’ll poke you to death."

This ti, the voice was much clearer, and Kai could feel that it was indeed quite like a tiger because the owing sound was a little weird and seed to be similar to that of a cute child’s voice.

Kai stopped thinking about it again, as he felt a sense of chill running through his body when it reminded him that it would kill him.

The others were dumbfounded when they saw that Kai’s head was banged on the ground three tis in a row.

"Are you okay?" The town chief asked awkwardly.

"It’s fine, let’s go." Kai waved his hand dismissively as if nothing had happened just now.

"Alright then." The town chief didn’t ask further when he saw that Kai seed to be quite pissed.

After walking for a while, they arrived at a big house. In the front yard, there was a mound of ground and a sword stuck on its end.

When Kai looked at the sword, he was quite surprised because the sword was actually a rare-grade sword.

"That was his sword." The town chief looked at the sword with a smile.

Despite being a good weapon, the sword remained stuck in there since no one in this town could use it, as there was no 2nd Echelon rank.

There was a restriction where you needed to be at least one rank lower to use any equipnt.

For example, a rare-grade sword could only grant its effects to soone at least 2nd Echelon. —> (You can see the grade and rank in the auxiliary Chapter.)

Naturally, there was an exception like Kai, who obtained the sword through his own effort and got it as the reward.

If there were no restrictions, these rich and strong people would definitely make their heirs and successors wear such high-end equipnt.

Of course, the others could still use the sword as a weapon, but they wouldn’t have the bonus effect and would just be the sa as using a weapon with a better quality.

As for skills, they could obtain skills far higher in rank. Naturally, it wasn’t that easy to obtain scrolls that could give you skills.

This was also a privilege for those who had a strong background because the strong awakener who was at their ends usually extracted their skills and passed them to the next generations.

As a result, those geniuses from a strong background were far stronger compared to their peers, as they had these benefits from the start.

"What are you waiting for?" The town chief tapped Kai’s shoulder.

Kai ca back to his senses and took a deep breath before unsheathing his sword, then looked back at the town chief. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

The town chief was silent for a few seconds and nodded their heads when he noticed the others had beco vigilant in case his son would rebel against Kai.

"Good. Everyone stand by and be ready when I give the signal," Kai nodded, then looked at the grave and used his [Resurrection of the Dead] skill.

As Kai used his skill, the ground trembled for a while before a hand ca out of the grave, followed by another hand, and finally a person ca out of the grave fully.

When the young man with blonde hair ca out of the grave, he instinctively looked at Kai instantly.

Subsequently, he moved his hand with a resistance before reaching out for the sword beside him.

However, when he was about to charge, he suddenly froze at the sight of a familiar face that appeared in front of Kai. The familiar face was naturally the town chief.

The town chief cried unknowingly when he saw his son’s face this ti. He thought that he would see his son in skeleton form, as he had never expected or heard about restoring the physical body after resurrecting it.

"Son." The town chief’s hand stretched out as if he wanted to touch his son’s face.

The undead struggled for a little bit before barely being able to move his lips and said, "D-Dad."

Kai opened his eyes widely, as he had never expected this. He then suddenly had an idea to subdue the chief town’s son peacefully.

When Kai saw that the chief town unconsciously started to walk toward his son, he imdiately stopped him as he held his shoulder back. "Don’t."

"What’s your son’s na?" Kai asked hurriedly.

"Elias Valtorin." The Chief Town replied without even looking back at Kai.

Kai didn’t care about it and suddenly said in a loud voice. "Elias, the fire lion who killed you was here again to annihilate the town."

"Don’t you want revenge on that fire lion? Or even on those behind the lion?" Kai persuaded him.

"Did you know that after the lion killed you, it suddenly left here as if it had successfully done its mission to kill you? If you don’t believe , ask your father!"

"Aren’t I right?" Kai looked at the town chief with a smile.

The town chief frowned when he heard Kai’s words, as he had never thought that far.

"Yes, he’s right. But, if you don’t want—"

Before the town chief could finish his sentence, Kai kicked him to the side. "Get lost!"

’What the fuck is this guy doing? Why did you say such things at this point?’ Kai cursed the town chief as he could guess that he was probably trying to persuade his son to not beco his undead.

Elias frowned when he saw that his father was being kicked by Kai just like that.

However, Kai didn’t give a fuck as he continued. "What? You don’t even have the guts to take revenge upon those who have killed you?"

"Alright then, I don’t want you to beco my undead subordinate anymore. Such a cowardly person, no wonder people even dare to plot against you and kill you like this." Kai sneered with a mocking expression.
