[Adam's POV]

"Where have you been? I have been waiting for you for forever now," in an exhausted tone, I spoke to… umm… What was his na? Ah! Albedo. Yellow haired demon worshipper.

"…"

And he looked at confused for a mont before he ignored and proceeded to do his own work.

'It's been a while, I guess? I forgot what kind of personality he has.'

The other demon worshippers also ignored as they went on with their own thing. And then the purple haired half unicorn demon worshiper, Tristan, called out,

"Let's go. It's going to take another week before we reach the place."

I nodded at him before following behind him.

"Finally!" I smiled brightly as I walked into the ship that was going to take us to the secret island where Laplace, or to be precise, son of Laplace was.

Entering the ship, I noticed there were a couple more of the demon worshipers. Each of them seemingly an expert in their own field.

At this point it would be easier to say that I have left behind the "mob" characters with no na, and everyone who would be travelling with will be a proper nad character that would probably appear in many side quests and unique quests.

They were all special, strong to say the least. And as everyone knows, with strength cos attitude. Each of them were looking at with a deep look in their eyes before their eyes treated as a random character in their eyes.

Guess I should be glad that they weren't openly hating ? Hmmmm… that would be stereotyping… is that a real word? I don't know…

"Don't look at like that. I am your doctor for the ship. The na is Josh," I spoke as I had already taken upon the persona of Josh for now. Despite many of the people here being experts in their fields, they were still not important enough to share the information that a demi-god killer was traveling with them.

Seeing how they weren't responding to my words, I sighed before looking at Albedo who was sighing as well. Him, Tristan and the others simply gave up as they went to their own work. And with having nothing to do, I went into the room to take a nap for the ti being.

Since I don't want anyone to kill in my sleep, I put up so protective spells and artifacts around and then added another layer of runes to fortify that. Though I doubt that anyone would try anything, still it's better than sitting like a readied lamb here.

Prevention is better than cure after all.

The next 6 or so days went rather slow with nothing interesting happening on board. While most of my ti went sleeping, the ti when my eyes weren't shut, I went around the ship checking on others.

So were engrossed in their own work, and even though looking unapproachable, when I started matching their frequency in their field of expertise, they showed a much delighted response.

Whether it was a skill, a rune or even an artifact. I had a slight knowledge of all of it. During my days of travels from Mirag Town to Border Town, I ended up trying to sponge up as much knowledge as I could. And honestly, it was worth it.

I an it didn't exactly help make those evil-worshippers a little less evil, but as long as it's neither 'let such you life force' or 'let's summon the devil' type of artifact, I helped them improve things here and there.

"How co you know so many things about dark magic, Josh?"

"My father was a dark magician. He taught a lot of things."

"Man! I wish I had a father like that."

It was fun in its own way.

Anyways, the 6 days helped bond with these guys, and at the end of the period, we soon landed on a beautiful but empty island, surrounded by heavy mist all around. Since only I and Yemir were allowed to enter this place, I jumped off first.

The ship departed from there before getting lost in the mist in the distance. And when it was sure that they couldn't see us, Yemir appeared from a subspace artifact that I was carrying.

"Had fun?" I asked as I looked at him.

Ever since he had been freed from that curse, he was hell bent on trying to figure out more about the God that had cursed him. For the years that he couldn't et or see his daughters, Anna and Leena, all that pent up rage was now reaching to its brim point.

So in a way he was preparing for a big battle in the future.

"Found a couple of things. Though still too far," he gave a vague answer before he cracked his neck and then took a step forward. His eyes focused ahead as he spoke,

"Follow behind . This place can get a bit tricky."

And then nodding at , I too got serious, as I followed his steps without speaking a word. Even though I wanted to crack a joke here and there, the fact that this was sothing that was going to shape the future of everything, ended up making silent.

At tis I was wondering what I should say? What words should I use and what should I avoid? Even though I had a gazillion tries, for this particular one, I wanted to get over it. For now, I just wanted to save everyone as fast as possible.

Walking through the mist, we crossed a forest and a river. And at the end of the walk, there was a portal that probably led to the destination where we wanted to reach.

"All right. This is as far as I can go. Inside there you will find our boss. I will wait for you until you are done," Yemir spoke, and I nodded at him. There were a couple of questions, but for now, let's face the guy that probably holds the answer to the important ones.

And then I entered the portal where Son of Laplace was.
