"Crack, crack.."

Despite being forged with that tough tal, the sword started to crack.

It was all because of Igaris’ raw strength and the technique of the First Form.

The Butterfly ch, being agile, quickly retracted its longsword and watched him with quiet surprise.

"Are all the monsters are as strong as you?" Aluna asked calmly, the chanical wings buzzing behind her.

Igaris regained clarity but didn’t respond. He continued his attacks on the Butterfly ch.

With her agile movents, it was hard to land a hit midair, but wherever his sword scraped by, chunks of tal and runes were cut away.

Aluna’s wings fluttered as her sword moved in a dreadful butterfly dance, but each clash with the monster was proving costly.

The chs were sustaining damage that couldn’t be easily repaired.

Inside, her forehead was covered with sweat as she gave her all in the fight.

anwhile, Daisy, disard and unable to retaliate, could only use her ch’s legs to disrupt the monster’s attacks.

Igaris used gale wings to jump through the sky.

"Fucker! How can he fly as well? This is really Superhuman like. No... This is Summoner like.. I want this power at all cost." Daisy muttered, her eye glead with hunger.

"Should we interfere, Boss?" Rax asked, preparing to summon their chs through the Soul-Link function.

"Not necessary. They’ll be dealt with in seconds," Igaris replied, conjuring a massive rock boulder mid air and hurling it toward Daisy.

"Bang!"

Daisy’s ch was struck instantly. It bounced away like a rolling ball, red alarms blaring inside the cockpit as steam hissed around her.

On the other hand, a fireball shot toward Aluna.

"Boom!"

The fireball exploded just before impact, catching her off guard.

Her butterfly wings shattered as she was blown away like a cannonball.

"Bang!"

She crashed to the ground, and Aluna fainted inside the cockpit.

Igaris landed smoothly on the ground.

For so reason, he felt a deep satisfaction watching them suffer, as if a long-buried vengeance had finally been fulfilled.

Still, he appeared calm and composed on the surface, like a dignified leader.

From the very beginning, they had never been a match for him. After all, he hadn’t even unleashed his army yet.

"B-Boss, are you okay?"

The thugs approached cautiously. They seed genuinely frightened by his inhuman capabilities.

"You don’t need to worry about . Go check if they are dead or not. If they’re alive, take them with us. I need to interrogate them," he ordered calmly.

The thugs saluted in unison.

"Yes, Boss!"

Afterward, they found that both of the young won had only lost consciousness. So they carried them to the next hiding location.

The thugs were worried about their whereabouts being leaked, but Igaris wasn’t so concerned.

Whoever ca his way, he would be prepared. This wasn’t overconfidence speaking. It was his will to win.

--

Bam!

"What do you an they disappeared?" a handso young man growled in a conference room.

His black hair was long and radiated authority. And a commanding pressure filled the space.

All the older officers seated in their chairs were sweating, feeling his cold gaze narrowing on them.

"Sir, with all due respect, this all happened because of Madam Butterfly and Dual Sabers’ negligence. We aren’t at fault for their disappearance."

One brave officer nad Cedric spoke without fear.

"And from the data they sent us... there is no clear location for the Monster Boy. Still, we’ve mobilized all patrol units to find the Black Daggers and the target."

The young man turned his gaze on Officer Cedric with clear displeasure.

"Officer Cedric, you talk too big you know that. Your patrol units from Oyster Town won’t be able to do a damn thing to find them. He can take down C-Rank chs like they’re nothing. So what made you think those D-Rank patrol units will do any better?"

"Useless... All of you are useless," said one older man beside the young man.

He wore a 4-star military uniform, signifying that he belonged to a powerful military background.

"Adrian, my boy... you must find my daughter at all costs," he said almost pleadingly. "I will give you full authority as the Commander of the 16th Platoon. But you must find her, no matter what. Can you do that?"

Adrian smirked. "Relax, Uncle. She is also a close friend of mine. If I don’t find her, who will? And I don’t need your authority. I’ll summon Dark Knight if I need to."

"Dark Knight? Isn’t that your father’s S-Rank ch? How will you operate it?" the older man asked, confused.

"You don’t have to worry about that, Uncle. I can wield Dark Knight, if my father gives permission to use it, that is."

"But... that’s impossible. The Soul Link..."

"Co on, Uncle," Adrian said with a nacing grin. "Like I said, I’ll find her. That’s all that should matter to you."

Commander Dexter wisely shut his mouth. The young man had recently began to feel dangerous and mysterious. He wasn’t like this in the past. He used to be sweet and respectful.

He and her daughter used to be lovers, but now it turned into obsession.

He had adopted a darker persona so suddenly.

Still, he forced a smile.

"Then I can only count on you, Adrian, my boy."

Adrian stood, his long coat fluttering as he turned away from the round table. The officers watched him go in silence, their backs damp with sweat despite the cold air inside the chamber.

There was sothing unnerving about him now. His presence felt heavier, like a storm gathering at sea.

As he exited, his assistant, a short woman with silver glasses and braided black hair, fell in step beside him.

"Sir, shall I prepare the Teleportation Node?"

"Do it. And notify my father. Tell him it’s not a request."

She hesitated, eyes widening. "But... the Soul Link... Will he break it? What If he refuses—"

"He won’t," Adrian said, voice firm. "He’ll understand once I explain who we’re dealing with."

They walked down the polished corridor, lined with portraits of war heroes and plaques of old victories.

Adrian’s steps echoed like war drums, a sharp contrast to the quiet dread growing in the base.

"Sir, you believe that Monster Boy is the sa one who decimated Western Front?" she asked.

Adrian smiled, his eyes cold and distant. "Yes. He’s the one. I’ve received secret intel. His na is Igaris... and that’s why we must capture him at all costs."

He paused at the end of the corridor, hands clenched behind his back as he stared out a narrow window overlooking the training fields below.

"Oh, how destiny and fate let us et again, Igaris," he whispered, voice laced with venom. "I made you a cripple once... and this ti, your fate will be the sa. No, this ti I will crush your will to fight."

The assistant swallowed hard but said nothing. The weight of old enmity filled the air like smoke before a fire.
