As they were walking, Zeke said, "I know it was a long ti ago, but I once sent you all away for your own sake. Today, I have to do it again. The Spirit Beast Clans will provide you with the necessary resources to aid your breakthroughs that only they have access to.

"I’ve talked to Mammoth Head, so you can take Pooki, Tooki, and Xooki with you. I’m sure that this trip will benefit them greatly. You will be staying there for about five years, so do all that you can to strengthen yourselves. Or—"

Woo said, "Or you’ll kill us?"

Zeke smiled and said, "I won’t have the chance, even if I wanted to. There’s a storm coming, and there is no way that you can survive it with your current strength. That’s why I delayed my plans. Otherwise, it would all have begun in just two years. So use this ti well. Now, rember this, the Clan Heads will try everything to completely tie you to their Clans."

Bum asked, "What do you an?"

Woong said, "He’s talking about honey traps, dumbass."

Woo massaged her forehead and thought, ’How co this idiot had to be the only one with an ax?’

Zeke coughed and said, "Yes, I’m talking about honey traps. I don’t mind if you find soone there, but make sure that you’re making the right choice."

Woong chuckled and said, "This might be the only place where we might be able to beat Ryeong."

Woo nodded and said, "He’s right. You might be strong, but no woman would date a man as insufferable as you."

Zeke smiled lightly as he stared at the sky. The mory of a woman ca to his mind as he said, "You never know. There are always fools willing to love insufferable n like in this world."

The boys didn’t notice, but Woo was sure that she saw lancholy behind that smile. But before she could say anything, the smile was gone, and Zeke had returned to his old self.

He said, "It’s ti for you to leave. Just make sure that when we et again in five years, you won’t be as useless as you are now."

Zeke disappeared, and Mammoth Head and the other Clan Heads appeared at almost the sa ti.

Mammoth Head said, "I hope that you didn’t eat much."

The trio were only able to say "huh?" before the Clan Heads grabbed them and disappeared with them.

On a nearby rooftop, Zeke was sitting and drinking wine. The old man appeared beside him and said, "The spatial powers of the Heaven-Holding, Hell-Suppressing Mammoth Clan will never cease to surprise ."

Zeke said, "This is nothing, old man. You really are a frog in a well."

The old man faintly understood that Zeke was talking about sothing serious but decided that the little brat just wanted to insult him.

He said, "You know, I never took you to be such a big softie."

Zeke said, "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

The old man said, "I’m talking about your siblings. I can see that you’re worried about them."

Zeke looked at the old man as if he was crazy. He said, "Of course I’m worried about them."

The old man was about to say sothing, but Zeke continued, "They’re the only subordinates I have that I trust."

The old man said, "I understand that you don’t like or your father. Or your other grandfather, for that matter, and it’s fine. In your eyes, we probably deserve it. But those three are different. I did so digging, and I know how they’ve stuck by you through thick and thin. They’re your family. The sooner that you accept that, the better."

Zeke took a swig from the wine gourd and said, "Family, huh?"

His real family’s faces flashed before his eyes. He continued, "You’re right. But do you know who else sticks through thick and thin?"

The old man asked, "Who?"

Zeke replied, "Loyal soldiers."

Then Zeke left without waiting for the old man’s reply.

The next day, he gathered the Demon Monarchs in the War Room. It was made so that they could plan their next moves. Obviously, the previous Heavenly Demon—who had now beco the Demon Patriarch, the old man—who had now beco the Demon Ancestor, and his mother—who had now beco the Holy Mother, were also there.

He sat at the head of the table with both n on either side of him. Tang Mi-Yeon sat beside Cheon Seok-Jin, followed by the Yin and Yang Elders, followed by the rest of the Demon Monarchs.

Zeke said, "I need a progress report on the missions that you were given before."

The Mountain-Crushing Demon Monarch said, "As per your orders, all Cult mbers, both from Demons’ Den and Divine Hell, have returned to the Cult."

The Demonic Physician said, "The dicine Pavilion has obtained a lot of dicinal herbs and new apprentices. The contacts that you gave us were imnsely helpful. I’m sure that I can nurture them into competent physicians in three years at most."

The Enchantress said, "Since we no longer have eyes and ears outside, my brothels and restaurants have started to function like the Hao Sect. But building a reliable network will take so ti, even with the permits that you provided with."

The Demon with a Thousand Faces nodded and said, "I’m working with the Enchantress. There is a team of dead soldiers in every one of her properties to aid her."

The Demonic Sword Empress said, "I’ve gathered the mbers and started training them like soldiers. They are much more powerful individually in comparison to the orthodox warriors, but when it cos to military might, they don’t know jack shit."

The Blood Monk said, "While she’s taking care of their attacking and coordination, I’m teaching them Body Arts. Buddha’s light is upon us, as most have already destroyed their bodies. We just need to build them back up, Amitabha."
