The trainees nodded and left with the Vice Head. Back at the stairway to the third floor, Zeke had finally been able to cross it halfway. His body was covered in cuts and bruises. But now, he was getting the hang of it. His Intent infused Hell Qi was circulating inside his ridians at furious speeds.
His injured body absorbed the Hell Qi to heal. Due to his wounds, it was absorbing much more than the usual 40%. Zeke imrsed his mind into his body and observed the process. It was as if he was being forged into a two bladed swordstaff himself.
The strangest part was, that he wasn’t sitting cross legged and he was still able to circulate the Hell Qi. If he could master this ability, then he could much stronger, much faster.
He didn’t know how long had passed but now, his body was truly saturated. It wouldn’t absorb any Hell Qi until he broke through to the Demon realm. The Intents also stopped hurting his body, or it would be more accurate to say that his body was instinctively defending against the Intents. He finally stepped into the third floor.
It was very different from the previous rooms. It only had seventeen weapons and all of them were exuding a malevolent aura. They were all demonic weapons. Demonic weapons can be extrely strong. But they have a fatal flaw. They not only hurt the enemy, but also the wielder. There have been many in history who dismissed the warnings about demonic weapons and died tragic deaths.
He observed the room and realised that these weapons were stored very respectfully and that each weapon had a na. He checked if there were any two bladed swordstaffs among them, and fortunately, there was one. As soon as he layed his eyes on it, Zeke almost lost his mind. It was similar to love at first sight.
(Pervert.)
The craftsmanship was absolutely equisite. It didn’t look like it had been made from tals but crafted from crystals. It had a crystaline obsidian handle, with ruby blades. There were also designs with the obsidian embedded in them. No, it was as if the weapon was made from one big crystal. He looked at it’s na. It was ’Sasin’.
(’Sasin’ ans Grim Reaper. Here, it was intended to be just ’Reaper.’
As for the weapon, refer to Sapphire Fang from Shadow Fight 2. Just change the gold to ruby red and the blue to a crystaline black.)
He walked towards it with enamoured eyes and grabbed the handle. He caressed the blade with his forefinger and a small cut appeared on it. The blood was absorbed by Sasin. Usually a small wound like this would heal very quickly but it didn’t. Blood kept flowing from the finger onto Sasin’s blade.
Zeke also didn’t stop it. He knew that Sasin was a demonic weapon and this was a very common situation with those. He kept alternating the blades so that both of them could have enough blood. The handle started warming up. It was almost as if the weapon was waking up from a long slumber.
Then suddenly, a change happened. Zeke felt sothing trying to invade his ntal realm. He sat down whilst holding Sasin and entered his ntal realm. It was a horde of vengeful spirits. a huge horde. They were hamring onto his ntal wards, trying to break in at all costs. He simply removed the ntal wards.
The vengeful spirits rushed at the opportunity but halted imdiately as soon as they saw the huge Asuran Neo-Nephilim Primogenitor. Zeke laughed and said, "Idiots. Want to invade my ntal realm? Now stay here until I figure out what to do with you."
He put the ntal wards up again, turning his ntal realm into a prison for the vengeful spirits.
(Bro took Mind is a Prison a bit too seriously. Can’t deny, it is a good song. Poor vengeful spirits. Trapped inside the mind of a madman.)
He exited his ntal realm and looked at Sasin. Then, he smiled. Because he was experiencing that feeling again. He and Sasin were one. he could feel every nook and cranny of the weapon. He could feel its abilites. He could feel its curse. And the first thing that he said after experiencing this feeling was, "Sasin’s previous owner was a complete and utter idiot. Like seriously, the craftsmanship and abilities of this weapon are amazing but instead of elevating it, they just left it as it is? What a fool..."
Then he went on calling the previous owner an idiot multiple tis, unbeknownst that two people were observing his every move. After he was satisfied, he left the room and returned to the first floor. He exited the gate and found the old man waiting for him. He hurriedly said, "Ryeong greets senior."
The old man looked at him with unfocused eyes and then looked at Sasin. He said, "So you chose Sasin. Its a good weapon. Pity that its previous owner was idiot. Hopefully, its new owner won’t be the sa."
Zeke asked, "Senior knew Sasin’s previous owner?"
The old man shook his head and said, "I don’t know him. He is already dead. But I have heard of him. You will too, in the future."
Zeke looked at the old man with curious eyes. But the old man didn’t reply. Zeke hesitated for a bit and said, "Senior may not know this, but before the Cult kid-cough-I an took in, I worked for a family of brewers. Their wines were very famous. I could make a batch for Senior..."
The old man said, "Are you trying to bribe right now, brat?"
Zeke said, "What bribe? I just saw that Senior enjoyed alcohol so I wanted to gift him so."
The old man and the young boy stared at each other. The old man thought, ’What a sly little fox. Does he really think that I don’t know anything about him? Lets see how far is he willing to take this lie.’
He said, "A family of brewers you say...They must have been very benevolent if they were willing to take an Akma-Jasik like you in."
Zeke beca a bit nervous. Although he had lied, it was true that he knew how to brew wine. Very deliscious wines. But if the old man doubted his story, he could potentially die. Fortunately, the old man seed to believe him and said, "Alright, I’ll tell you. The weapon that you’re holding right now, Sasik, belonged to the third Heveanly Demon. Be proud, as you’re its second owner."
Zeke brain stopped. What did he just say? The third Heavenly demon? Was the old man fucking with him? He had been calling one of the previous Heavenly Demons an idiot? That too in the very heart of the Divine Demonic Cult? The sa Divine Demonic Cult that literally worships its Heavenly Demons?
He very slowly turned his face towards the old man. He could practically feel how amused the old man was with this situation. Which ant that the old man had heard his rambling. Then he slowly turned his face towards the ground and started doubting life. The old man smiled and said, "Still think that the previous owner of Sasin is an idiot?"
Zeke wanted to say no but his body betrayed him as he subconsciously nodded. Then, horror set in. The old man laughed and said, "You’re obviously either very smart or very, very stupid. Tell why you think so. If the reason satisfies , then you’ll live."
Zeke heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Sasin.."
He held it high and said, "...is dead. At least in it’s current state. I called him an id, I an, I unknowingly disrespected the third Heavenly Demon because it could have beco a sentient weapon much, much sooner. Not to ntion him, even I could do it in a few days. So, it would have been very easy for a man of his stature."
The old man humd as his eyes beca sharp and said, "Elaborate."
Zeke said, "Well, to understand how, you have to understand Sasin’s abilities. It devours the blood and souls of everyone that it kills. No, not devour. More like store. It stores them. These souls eventually turn into vengeful spirits. If he had purified their resentnt, he could have crafted a soul for Sasin. Then Sasin would have awakened. Its also what I plan to do."
The old man looked interested and said, "Thankfully, you’re very smart and not stupid. I don’t know where you heard of sentient weapons and how you know about them but you are right. Sasin might really awaken if you are able to do what you just said. Although its highly questionable if you are capable enough to pull it off."
Zeke looked at the old man and said, "So...is Senior satisfied?"
The old man thought about it and said, "Not completely."
Zeke wanted to speak but the old man interrupted him and said, "You still owe wine.
