...The air trembled with power.

Swords clashed, the ring of steel against steel echoing across the once-festive streets.

Bursts of golden light, radiant and divine, shot forth from the knights of the Holy Church, their Spiritual Energy forming blades of judgnt that cut through the air.

Buildings crumbled under their force, and the sky above flickered with flashes of brilliance.

But the pirates were no weaklings.

Those who wielded Elental Energy raised their hands, and the very earth cracked as jagged rock spears burst forth, impaling knights mid-charge. Flas danced, consuming robes and banners alike, while powerful gusts of wind sent n tumbling through the streets like ragdolls.

One knight, his armor engraved with holy symbols, thrust his palm forward, sending a wave of golden fire surging toward a group of pirates. But before it could land, a pirate captain with deep blue tattoos stepped forth, his hands glowing with aquamarine energy.

With a single swipe, he dragged the moisture from the air, twisting it into a serpentine torrent of water that devoured the holy flas, leaving nothing but a hissing cloud of steam in its wake.

The knight barely had ti to react before the pirate lunged, a cutlass wreathed in sea mist flashing in his grip.

Usually, the holy knights were domineering in any war front. But these pirates were not ordinary pirates. In truth, they were soldiers tasked by the Zodiac families to act as pirates in secret.

aning that they equally had military training.

A pirate, his arms covered in flowing molten lines, slamd his flaming fist into a knight's chest, sending him crashing into a vendor's stall.

Another holy warrior hovered above the battlefield, his wings of pure silverline energy spreading wide. He raised his lance, preparing to unleash a devastating holy smite—

But the mont he turned his gaze toward the statue of Magnus, his body froze.

His face twisted in pure horror as his forehead bulged unnaturally.

Then it began.

Water.

From his nose.

From his mouth.

From his eyes.

A gurgling scream ripped from his throat as water spewed from every hole in his body. He clutched his own face, his fingers digging into his flesh as if trying to stop the flood, but it was useless.

His body convulsed, his wings flickering erratically.

Then, in a sickening, wet burst, his eyes exploded—fountains of water gushing forth.

He plumted, his body hitting the ground with a sickening squelch.

And he was still.

The battle raged on, but now, a pattern was clear.

Any pirate, any knight—anyone—who dared step too close to the statue of Magnus suffered the sa, horrific fate.

They drowned from the inside out.

And yet, blinded by zealotry and bloodlust, neither side relented.

TheBrandon's fury was ice-cold, but his mind remained sharp. He was not a useless commander.

With a single motion of his hand, he signaled to the priests of the Temperance Family, their robes embroidered with silver filigree, their eyes alight with divine purpose.

"Sanctify the battlefield!" he roared.

The priests stepped forward in unison, raising their hands to the heavens.

Their voices, layered and powerful, rang through the chaos—

"Lux Dominus!"

A pillar of golden light erupted from the center of their formation, its brilliance stretching toward the sky before shattering into hundreds of smaller beams.

These lights rained down upon the knights, infusing their bodies with divine power. Their swords glead brighter, their movents beca faster, and the wounds they had suffered began to close instantly.

"Aegis Divinitas!"

A shimring golden barrier enveloped each knight, warding off incoming attacks. Arrows that once struck true were now deflected, and blades that would have found purchase skidded off the holy protection as if striking solid steel.

"Spiritus Fortis!"

Waves of pure spiritual energy flooded through the knights, enhancing their senses, their strength, their endurance.

Their war cries shook the ground, their swings now splitting stone, and even the pirates with Elental Energy found themselves losing ground against the empowered warriors.

Then ca the final command.

"Exorcismus Magnus!"

A powerful ripple of divine force spread out, coating every knight with a glowing sigil of Temperance. This was the protection spell against Magnus' curse—a desperate attempt to counteract the horror that had claid their first fallen knight.

As the spell took effect, those who had once hesitated near the statue of Magnus now charged forward without fear, their bodies wreathed in holy light. The golden aura clashed with the invisible force that had drowned the first knight. For a mont, it seed to hold.

And with that, the tide of battle turned.

The pirates who were once fighting with reckless abandon, now found themselves overwheld.

Their elental attacks fizzled against divine barriers, their blades dulled against enhanced armor, and their formations shattered under the relentless assault of the newly empowered knights.

For all their brutality and cunning, they were now fighting an army blessed by the Holy Church—and there were few forces in the world that could stand against that.

slaughter continued.

Rihanna frowned, her usual playful deanor fading like mist before the morning sun.

For the first ti, a grave seriousness settled on her face, her golden eyes narrowing as she observed the battlefield below. The pirates were losing, the knights of the Holy Church were overwhelming them, and now Brandon had begun to march forward like a conqueror.

She turned to him, her voice still carrying its smooth allure, but now laced with warning.

"Brandon, you fool," she called, her body swaying slightly as she moved—though this ti, it was less seductive and more like a beast pacing before a fight. "If you do not stop this madness now, you will annoy the hidden expert of this island. And when that happens, there will be no forgiveness for you."

But Brandon didn't so much as flinch. Instead, he waved his hand, and instantly, water ford from the very air itself, twisting like a serpent before launching toward her at terrifying speed.

Rihanna's tusks pulsed with a faint glow, and a barrier of rippling energy ford before her, intercepting the attack. The water blast slamd into the shield, dispersing into a misty spray, but the force behind it pushed her back a step.

She gritted her teeth in surprise.

Brandon was only a peak Silver Rank, while she was Gold Rank, an entire realm above him—yet, his casual attack had actually forced her back?

Brandon was indeed a talent, but she was not going to back than now.

Her fingers tightened into fists.

Brandon sneered, his voice sharp with arrogance. "Take your filth off my ship."

Rihanna's eyes flickered dangerously. The glow on her tusks intensified, and her body tensed like a predator ready to strike.

She was no longer smiling.

"I have been patient with you long enough... BOY. Call filth one more ti," she said in a low, lethal voice, "and see how I teach you a lesson you'll never forget..."
