Walking through the thick darkness of the Shadowless Region, Jun Wu and i Ling were both amazed by the extraordinary power of the flower.

They had tried desperately to make fire but failed miserably. It was from the group that they learned it was impossible to light a fire in such a dark region.

However, the Star Radiance Flower shone brightly in the darkness. Everything around their five-ter radius was illuminated and they could see everything.

Previously, they had been working blindly, but with this, they did not have to fear the darkness.

Apart from the Star Radiance Flower they got from the group, they also learned the hidden dangers of the Shadowless Region.

Staying too long in the Shadowless Region could corrupt people’s minds and turn them into mindless beasts.

Even with the help of the Heart Calming Pill, that couldn’t be helped.

A heart calming pill could only be used once and after that it would not be effective again, not until they left the region and cleared their mind before it could be used once more.

Thus, no one dares more than two hours inside the Shadowless Region before they leave.

As for how to leave the region, each person carried a small map. One of the fatal threats of the region was that it was common for people to get lost and never find their way back.

The combination of the extre darkness and the dark whispers made it horrifying for anyone to survive when they got lost.

The first terror was when the heart calming pill’s effects wear off. The terrifying dark whispers would attack the soul continuously without stopping.

Bringing people to the brink of insanity.

As for the second terror, it was various hidden horrifying monsters that lurked at every corner.

With weak ntal strength, they would easily beco food for the monsters. And if they were lucky not to encounter any monster, they would turn into mindless beasts.

Thus, getting lost inside the dark region was as good as dead.

These were the things Jun Wu and i Ling learned from the last girl. With her life on the line, she did not keep anything hidden from them.

She revealed everything.

From her, they learned their origin.

The five friends ca from the White Mountain Region.

The White Mountain Region was considerably far from the Soaring Cloud Region. Yet, they t each other inside the dark region, which was supposed to be impossible.

It was then they learned the concept that distance was not applicable inside the dark region.

Space was sowhat warped. No one knows what really happened inside the dark region. But the concept of distance was difficult to judge with a common standard inside the Shadowless Region.

Walking a few ters could allow soone to appear thousands of ters, while sotis, running for thousands of ters only for soone to realize they had only covered ten ters.

The common phenonon of the Shadowless Region. And that was why maps were very important.

Losing your map was no different from losing your lifeline.

From all these, Jun Wu and i Ling could understand why they were stunned when they saw them. Their venture into the Shadowless Region was nothing but risky.

They ticked off all the dangers of the dark region but still managed to remain alive. That alone was not different from a miracle.

As for why people took the risk of venturing into the Shadowless Region with all its danger.

Their answer was simple.

For the chance to grow stronger as quickly as possible.

at from monsters in the dark region could improve cultivators’ constitution. Apart from that, the beast core was extrely important.

The monster core contains pure spiritual energy that allows people to get stronger as soon as possible. Using the beast core allowed people to break through with ease.

Thus, the combination of dark region beasts and beast cores could shorten the ti of people’s cultivation.

When Jun Wu discovered this, he couldn’t help but be happy. With his storage pouch, he did not have to worry about how to carry the beast.

Others could only cut the important part of the beast, but for him, he would take everything.

As for i Ling learning about his secret, he did not have to care. Both were Master Teachers, and betrayal might lead to heart demons.

And with a heart demon, she might lose her qualification as a Master Teacher.

Looking at Jun Wu, who was studying the map seriously, i Ling couldn’t help but ask.

"Why do you think we’re not affected by the dark whisper?"

"Is that obvious?" Jun Wu responded.

Hmm?

i Ling was confused for a mont before it dawned on her. "Because we’re Master Teachers."

"Yes," he nodded. "That is the only thing we have in common and the only thing that could shield us from such a terrifying thing."

She agreed with him. Apart from the heaven blessing, she could not think of anything that could withstand the corrosion of their minds.

Slowly, a faint smile crept up on her face. While many would have to depend on pills to survive the dark whispers, they could easily ignore it as if it were nothing.

This alone had placed them above ordinary people.

"Have you discovered anything?" Jun Wu asked, bringing her out of her thoughts.

She turned and looked at him, her expression returning to her usual cold aloofness.

She held the map and pointed to a particular location. "I think this is where we’re going," she paused for a mont before she added, "But I’m not sure."

They were comparing the map they got from the five to the one on their hands.

Jun Wu stared at the location she pointed to, confird it with the one in his hand, and nodded.

"I agree. Let’s check it out."

With a clear direction, they were no longer feeling lost. They increased their pace, hoping to get there as soon as possible.

However, what they failed to know was that the Star Radiance Flower might illuminate their path, but it also made their location known to every beast in the forest.

Like a beacon.

From the darkness, hundreds of beasts rose from their slumber and their eyes locked on them.
