"Are you serious? There is nothing inside?" Liam was shocked. He had searched for the past two hours, scouring this place from top to bottom, running around on all the floors, and yet there wasn't a single thing in the whole building.

"You have got to be kidding ." Liam did not understand. Why did he feel the pull towards this building if there was nothing inside? Why did that creature outside try to enter so badly if there was nothing inside? Why did the gates of the building open for him and throw the other guy out?

It just did not make sense.

Liam sat down and decided to ditate for a bit before thinking about what to do next. There were also so powerful souls he had captured on the way to the building. He stopped his ditation and thought of sothing. He then began to forge the beast souls.

He took the pulsing orb of soul energy, and as usual, he compressed it again and again until it beca a small bead. A stream of mories flowed into his mind.

Liam closed his eyes as he absorbed all the mories. He needed more information about these treasure lands and this building, and more importantly, about the creature who was most definitely waiting for him outside.

One by one, he saw through the scenes of the beast's life as they flashed across his mind. The beast had been born here and had also grown up here.

It had a pretty simple life. It hunted other creatures and devoured them. Eventually, it picked up the Dao of Earth and beca pretty adept at it. The one thing that stood out in its whole lifeti was its fear of the scaly creatures.

Liam was right. The mont he had seen the slit like eyes and the superior scales and the way the creature moved, he had a feeling that these creatures had at least so amount of dragon bloodline in them.

And just as he thought, these creatures were indeed related to dragons. They were called Draluras, and they occupied most of these treasured lands. In fact, this beast was of the understanding that these guys were the owners of the whole thing, this entire world.

Most of its family mbers had fallen prey to these Draluras, and apparently, the beast was only alive since it hadn't broken through to the next transcendent yet. The Draluras made it a point to hunt any beast that stepped past this threshold.

So thought it was to make the beast at more nutritious, while others thought this was because the Draluras did not want anyone to beco strong enough to threaten their rule.

But in the end, it doesn't matter. Anyone who stepped into the transcendent rank instantly beca a threat to the Draluras. That is, if they stepped into their territory.

To hide their presence in this world, the Draluras had allowed many other beasts to beco stronger, even power up to higher ranks than transcendents, and these were the beasts that typically people who entered this world encountered.

Liam only managed to slip into their territory unnoticed thanks to the superior stealth skill he had taken from that assassin, the ghost walking skill. However, even that was not helpful as he eventually got caught by the Dralura who was guarding this building. Or maybe trying to get in.

The beast had no thoughts about this building as such. It only knew that coming near this building was an instant death sentence, and no one was allowed near it.

Liam let out a breath and finished forging the soul. He had hoped for more information, but this was all he had. Unless he hunted down one of those Draluras, he doubted if he would get any more than this.

The next instant, Liam summoned the recently forged beast and commanded it to search the building. However, just as the soul minion appeared, sothing unexpected happened.

All of a sudden, the entire place beca completely foggy, dense white fus swirled into existence, pouring down from the higher floors like a waterfall of mist. Liam's eyes narrowed, his body instinctively shifting into a battle stance.

A mont later, he couldn't help but relax as the energy around him was extrely familiar. In fact, it was the one he was most familiar with, and it was the one that made him the strongest. Soul energy! All around him, there was soul energy!

Soul energy… thick, potent, and pure, far denser than anything he had ever cultivated before. It wasn't just lingering in the air; it was alive, almost sentient, brushing against his skin like unseen fingers trying to probe him, test him, recognize him.

His body instinctively began to absorb it, greedily pulling in the essence with every breath. And this one didn't resist him. It welcod him. All of the energy gushed into his body.

His eyes widened. This place wasn't empty. It was the treasure.

He imdiately closed his eyes and started using his soul cultivation technique. This was the perfect chance for him to form his second constellation. He rapidly began to form one star cluster after another, when suddenly he felt a movent in the depths of his soul.

The soul weaver thread he had in his being was finally responding.

Liam's body trembled. So, the thing needed a soul energy concentration of this level to awaken? He did not know, but now that it had finally responded, he was not planning to miss this chance.

Liam imdiately took out his soul weapon, the Black Dragon sword. When he had obtained the soul weaver thread, this was the first idea that ca to his mind. He could use the soulweaver thread to activate and finally complete the Black Dragon sword.

He gently placed the sword on the ground and then guided the soulweaver thread toward it. The dense white soul energy began to swirl violently around him. The sword trembled slightly in his hands.

Liam bit his lip, blood trailing down his chin as he poured more and more soul energy into the thread, binding it to the Black Dragon sword. The soulweaver thread lit up, glowing with an ethereal silver-gold hue, and began to sink into the weapon's core.
