Liam couldn’t believe his eyes, and for the first ti, the Elental King paused in the middle of his stride, his eyebrow raised. Liam did not know if it was his imagination, but the fla streaks on the man’s body beca brighter as if they reflected his emotion.

Obviously, the person was not going to react well to his treasure getting stolen from him after he had put so much effort into it. Liam would be a fool to think otherwise.

However, he did not care. His minion was standing right in front of the damned treasure and he was not about to whimp out now!

Liam instantly sacrificed the minion and switched places with him. The Elental King growled from the distance, the man’s anger louder than the spatial explosions.

And then a massive fla erged.

Liam did not wait around to find out what exactly the attack did. His gaze locked onto the small vial in front of him. It was a vial with a clear green liquid. It seed weird considering the fact that he had raided a tallic structure with golems. He expected sothing along those lines.

But what exactly was this vial? Perhaps the real treasure was sothing else? Did he need to search this room? Was there a hidden trap door?

Nurous questions popped into Liam’s mind, but he did not dare delay any longer. Without any hesitation, he finally activated the exit tattoo, and the next instant, his body vanished into nothingness.

Liam’s entire body beca drenched in sweat, and even as he exited, he could feel the pair of molten lava-like eyes fixated on him. The anger within those eyes was burning boundlessly and threatened to consu his very soul.

Even if he was a second late, he couldn’t imagine the consequences. His scalp beca numb at the thought. The burning mory of molten, wrathful eyes, the Elental King’s gaze, was seared into his very soul. The taste of near-certain retribution lingered bitterly on his tongue.

That guy was definitely going to co after him.

As his vision cleared up, he once again found himself in the eternal sword palace quarters. But Liam imdiately tore a teleportation talisman and returned to Earth without even taking a second to breathe.

The small green vial was still in his hand as he finally appeared in the system shop, a shocked Tilia staring at him, gobsmacked.

"Liam!" The fairy rushed to him with a face full of worry, and only when he saw his reflection in her eyes did he notice that half of his body was missing.

Liam bitterly smiled. This ti, he really had been far too close to death. He was about to take out his healing potion from the storage space when suddenly, the green liquid from the vial floated up. It shot forward and turned into a mist before completely disappearing into Liam’s body.

Rey gasped as he struggled to adjust to the water all around him. "This treasure hunt sucks! This stupid event officially sucks!" He shouted out in frustration. Normally, one shouldn’t be able to communicate in water, and sohow, inside the treasure hunt event, he could.

He was also able to breathe and see. Not that any of it helped. He freaking hated being in the water. As luck would have it, he felt a slight pressure from the water on the side, probably a sign that sothing was fast approaching him.

Of course, it had barely been a couple seconds since he stepped into the event, and he was already facing so monster. How the hell was he supposed to shoot an arrow in this water? He retrieved a long spear he had stored in his space ring.

An Epic-grade spear that was crafted by one of the talented blacksmiths in the guild, a real up-and-cor. It gave him a total of 100 bonus stats, along with a couple of special effects. Not bad. He couldn’t complain. It had been a while since he used it, but hey, he could wield it just fine.

Rey swung around, gritted his teeth, and thrust the spear forward into whatever was coming. He instantly regretted his decision as lightning crackled around the long creature, and his spear beca a conductor for the magic.

It lit up like he had plunged it into so insane power grid, and his body flailed from the attack.

Rey’s body jerked like a puppet on malfunctioning strings as the electric shock surged through him, and he couldn’t help but let out a blood-curdling scream that echoed through the water. For a split second, everything blurred—a mix of flashing blue arcs and the monster’s enraged roar.

"Are you freaking kidding ?!" he yelled, struggling to get his bearings as the water churned wildly around him. The beast, its form flickering with electric pulses, prepared to attack again.

Rey quickly adapted. He had read about these types of beasts before. Usually, their insides were the safest target area. As the giant eel prepared to chomp a big piece off of him, he quickly thrust the spear once again, this ti aiming for the mouth.

The attack hit it amazingly well, and the creature screeched and thrashed in pain. It wasn’t completely dead yet, and this gave an idea to Rey.

"Ta." He activated the skill. He had a couple of slots open just for this purpose and decided to use one. With his heart hamring in his chest, he extended his arm, letting his aura wrap around the creature.

The eel’s frantic movents slowed, its eyes dimming from a ferocious glow to a kind of llow, almost curious stare.

"Hell yeah," Rey muttered under his breath, a grin breaking through despite the pain still buzzing in his muscles. "Guess I’m the boss now." The creature, still massive and powerful, now floated by his side as if it were waiting for his next move.

Rey’s mind raced with crazy ideas—maybe he could ride this electrified beast, zoom past the rest of the treasure hunt, and show everyone how to really crush this event. Yup, this was going to be amazing!
