"Why did you agree?!"
Ruby lashed out at Gloppy, not understanding his reasoning for keeping that stupid lizard alive.
However, she soon fell to the ground. Her endurance and stamina had run out due to the earlier fight and the chase.
"We got a quest, so he has to live until we et up with Leo."
She sighed, unhappy about their prey having to stay alive.
"Now get up there, we are going to the den."
He pointed towards the Slimy Pearl behind them while he himself picked up Heins and went towards it.
The red sli slapped her face with her hands to pump herself up before also boarding their flagship.

"So you... are in love with your brother?"
Leo could feel his skin crawl as those words escaped his mouth.
"Y-yesss... but my dad won’t even let ssee him!"
He couldn’t take that level of degeneracy. In a mont, risa found herself far away from everyone else as they stood on the other side of the cell.
Even The Fearmonger was looking at her with disgust.
’Cien... did you give this quest?’
They both waited, still thinking that Biel was just throwing a tantrum.
Or lying to themselves.
’Is there any way for you to contact her?’
They wanted to talk more but Leo got pulled back into the conversation with the princess.
"Can you makhe her shut up?"
risa goes on and on about how much she loves her brother, which finally pushes Leo to action.
"We aren’t doing it, Trevor grabs her, we are going to the King."
Just to be sure they won’t need to listen to her degeneracy even more, they duct-taped her mouth and tied her up.
"He, could you move?"
The summoner said to one of the guards in front of the cell.
"Who do you think you are to ssspeak to usss?"
If he wanted it the hard way, Leo wouldn’t object.
With a strong kick, the heavy doors shot out and smashed the Lizardman into the wall on the other side.
"What are you doing!"
A nearby guard shouted before running away to alert the rest.
Nyssa grabbed the still-breathing guard from under the doors and smiled at him.
"Could you tell us where the king is?"
His face was filled with anger as he sat there in silence, not wanting to share such information with them.
Noticing that he wouldn’t cooperate so easily, she sighed and took out Gideon, putting it slowly on each one of her hands.
"Okay okay! I will ssspeak just don’t kill ."
"Shouldnth those monhsters be strongher?"
Alia looked confused, they barely put any strength into their attacks and it felt like the Lizardn were made out of twigs.
Leo was also quite curious how co they ended up here, none of the other monsters so far were able to speak so it was a big chance for them.

"How did your tribe end up in those swamps? It doesn’t seem to be the right difficulty."
He could have asked the sa question to risa, however, he doubted her ability to explain anything without at least two mood swings.
His ntion of the oddity in place seed to get a small reaction from the guard, so he decided to hit the iron while it was still hot.
"Did so sort of crystal appear around that ti?"
"You even know about the cryssstal?!"
The guard looked straight into Leo’s eyes, his hands began to shake and his breathing got uneven.
"Itss all becaussse of the King! He brought usss here as punisshnt."
risa tried to to break herself out of Trevor’s grip as soon as the Lizardman started speaking.
"He told uss that we won’t be able to sse our faimiliesss unless we do our jobss better..."
They all listened closely, Nyssa even took out a notepad to write everything down, just in case they missed a crucial point of this story.
’So this is was scenario gate of sorts, that would explain the talking monsters.’
"Could you point us towards his chambers? We will let you go if you do so."
Even though he wasn’t too sure if that was a good idea, the guard nodded while explaining to them which way to go.
Once he made sure they understood all the instructions, he handed Leo an insignia.
On it, he could see two snakes enveloping a staff with wings.
"Thiss will let you pass through the resst of the guardsss if there are even any left..."
That last remark was rather confusing to them, but the Lizardman was too far away now, running for his life to the completely other side than he had shown them.
With the insignia in hand, they continued their journey deeper into the den, only stopping to show it to the guards.
Luckily the other few guards didn’t seem to think their princess being tied up was weird, on the contrary, they sighed with relief.
"All of them seem like weaklings, I wonder why the fight outside took them so long."
The Fearmonger remarked as they passed a few of the guards, whose arms wobbled when they held their weapons.

Outside, Gloppy could see a Lizardman running out of the den, frantically looking for sothing.
"You better tell him not to attack us."
Ruby remarked while preparing a nearby musket just in case, hoping to quench her lust for blood.
"He won’t..."
The prince didn’t even look towards the den, be it the sha of failing his mission or sothing even deeper.
His previous confidence was long gone ever since his army had turned into a single unit.
"All of our warriorsss were already killed by you."
This shocked both of them, they expected there to be way more in the den, but turns out that a good estimate would be around 50 Lizardn inside.
They didn’t even need to ask him further to hear more as he sighed loudly and continued.
"My dad and ssister had gone mad ever since the weird cryssstal appeared."
A single Hellwing flew above the den, circling around.
As soon as it saw the Slimy Pearl, it faded away, fulfilling its purpose.
[Get inside Gloppy, tell the guards on the way and we will catch up.]

It took them so ti, even though they had Heine’s help in traversing the den, the elaborate tunnels and corridors made it very hard to traverse.
As soon as they saw each other, Leo and Gloppy opened their mouths.
"We got a new quest."
"We have a new quest."
Both of them pointed toward the subject of their respective quests.
Heins could see risa swirling around, almost breaking out as soon as their eyes t, her face turned fully red and her eyes turned into a dangerous glint.
Alia could swear she saw a glint of purple going right through her eyes, but as she was about to inquire further.
"You may co in!"
Sound so loud that the entire tunnel almost collapsed called for them from inside the chamber.
