Just as the four of them maintained their Conqueror's Haki at full output, locking Bullet down and suppressing him, sothing changed.

A flash of madness crossed Bullet's eyes. The black aura that had been clashing against the four forces of Haki suddenly drew inward. It did not vanish. Instead, it compressed, like a spring forced to its limit.

Using the massive rebound force created by the four of them pressing down at once, combined with the sudden transformation and explosive release of his Fusion Fruit ability beneath his feet,

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Bullet stomped through the air.

With every step, a propulsion plate ford beneath his foot, shattered instantly, and released a violent recoil that launched him forward again. This was not Sky Walk. This was sothing far more brutal and direct, a continuous aerial acceleration driven by raw Devil Fruit power.

Reid: No, why is this so damn cool? Transforming armor, transforming engines. What boy could possibly resist this?

Sonic booms detonated behind him one after another. His figure tore across the sky, leaving behind sharp afterimages. By the ti Shanks and the others sensed his true intent with Observation Haki, it was already too late to change their tactics.

Bullet shot forward like a black cannonball fired from the barrel of a gun. One hand clutched the chest worth five billion Berries. He ripped through the sky, broke free from the restraint of four Conqueror's Haki fields in an instant, and surged straight toward the main plaza of Golden City, straight toward Reid.

"Damn it!"

"Stop him!"

Shanks' slash, Buggy's Haki-coated flying limbs, Marco's blue flas, Katakuri's mochi capture net. One attack after another chased Bullet's trajectory.

Too late.

Bullet's burst of speed had been planned for this exact mont. It was terrifyingly fast. Every attack sliced through nothing but his afterimage, exploding uselessly into the air.

Bullet: Eat my dust.

Short bursts of flight were sothing any top-tier fighter could manage. But to unleash such terrifying, direct, almost absurd absolute speed in such a short distance, like Bullet just did, was sothing no one else could match.

The black teor crossed an enormous distance in the blink of an eye.

Bullet hovered in midair, raising the chest that had thrown the entire world into chaos with one hand. His dark, close-fitting armor glead with a cold sheen under the sunlight.

Reid: Damn it. The more I look at it, the more I want it, you bastard.

Ignoring the panic and chaos below, Bullet's eyes burned with battle lust as he locked onto the figure who had just straightened up on the throne above the plaza.

"Rei… d!"

Bullet roared,

"Do you see this? These five billion Berries! And my power!"

"All of this is just to drag you down from that damn throne!"

"Fight !"

The money was never his true goal. Not the five billion Berries, not any so-called Pirate King's treasure. From the mont he broke out of Impel Down, his only purpose had been to defeat the man who once crushed him and beca the obsession that haunted his entire life.

The Mist Lord, Reid.

Golden City fell into a dead silence.

Every gaze locked onto Bullet in the sky and Reid on the throne.

Reid slowly lifted his head. The last trace of laziness drained from his face as he looked up at the arrogant, provocative figure in the air.

"Heh." Reid grinned. "Trying to buy my life with money, Bright? After all these years, your math is still as bad as your brain."

He even looked like he was seriously weighing whether five billion Berries might be enough to buy his life.

That careless attitude was like the final spark thrown into a powder keg.

Bullet completely snapped.

"You bastard! How dare you look down on !"

With a furious roar, Bullet finally lost control. He hurled the chest straight down toward the plaza.

Allied forces and pirates: If we quietly grab it, will Lord Reid forgive us?

The armor on Bullet's back morphed instantly. Larger propulsion nozzles burst open, spewing violent, ghostly blue flas.

"Combination Mode. Overdrive. Hell Dive!"

Boom!

A thunderous sonic explosion tore the air apart. Bullet's body dissolved into a blurred black streak, more than twice as fast as before. The atmosphere was ripped open, forming a clearly visible cone-shaped shockwave aid straight at Reid on the throne.

Allied forces, pirates: No, no, we are still in the plaza. We are dead. We are really dead. Mom, Dad, my son, my daughter, my wife, I love you all.

At that critical mont, with every eye drawn to the demon diving from the sky, Reid slowly rose from his throne.

At the sa ti, in a relatively quiet corner of the plaza, a silent chase was unfolding.

"Ow! Little Moore, let go of ! This is a world-shaking headline! A once-in-a-lifeti headline! The descendant of the Demon King challenges the Lord of Mist! First-hand news, brother! We are going to get rich!"

The editor-in-chief's eyes shone as he struggled desperately against Moore's wings gripping his collar, one hand clutching his notebook like his life depended on it.

Moore looked close to tears.

"Get rich? Are you insane? Brother, look at what is happening!" Moore hissed in a low, panicked voice. "From that far away, their Conqueror's Haki almost knocked us unconscious. Now this demon is charging straight at Lord Reid. Do you have any idea what this place might turn into in the next second? And you still want to rush forward?"

"No problem, brother! Fortune favors the brave! Journalists must have a spirit of sacrifice!"

The editor-in-chief was still excitedly adjusting his angle.

"Look at this position. Perfect angle. Crystal-clear shot. Lord Reid raises his hand, Bullet dives down. Brother, this composition is art. Pure art."

"There is sothing seriously wrong with your head!" Moore finally snapped and shouted upward. "Motor! Help !"

The electric eel understood imdiately. It leapt off Moore's head and raised its sacred stick.

"Bonk!"

A dull, crisp thud rang out.

Two demons were struck. Well, one demon and one lunatic.

The editor-in-chief's endless rambling cut off instantly. His body went limp, and he passed out on the spot. The Den Den Mushi and notebook slipped from his hands.

Moore quickly caught the "tools," let out a long breath, slung the unconscious editor over his shoulder, and crouched low as he sprinted toward the safer rear of the observation platform.
