"In the end, none of them is really suitable for this...

I don’t think I’ll be able to get another totem like this so soon, so should I just not assign any beast just yet?"

He looked at the slip and it described that one could also use a general spirit as the presiding spirit.

But in that case, the spirit has no intelligence and no consciousness, it’s just a manifestation of elental spiritual power.

Using it will allow the first blessing to be activated, but the other blessings are impossible to get.

The only pro-argunt was that this spirit could simply be unbound by a ritual.

"Among the three types of spirit – Beast Spirit, Elental Spirit, and the final True Spirit which requires summoning, worshipping, and many rituals, I can only take the Elental Spirit for now."

The third type of spirit was only ntioned, but there was no accompanying thod to summon it, so Fengyu didn’t consider it deeply.

"Then, let’s do the elental spirit!"

Fengyu stood up and looked around, contemplating where to place this totem.

Because he had no totem pole, moving it around after placing it would require a complete repetition of the ritual when he moved it, making it important to choose a long-ti spot.

"I don’t know the range of this totem, but it only talks about the beasts that are connected to it. Which ans technically the range should be endless, right?"

Fengyu thought about it and it seed that this totem was really different from the formations of the Immortal Dao.

"Still, it’s better to keep it close to the beasts, I presu.

So let’s use the spare room in the duck villa as a spirit worshipping room."

After rebuilding and expanding the shack, he realised that shack didn’t justify its grandness, so he instead nad it villa.

Walking to the villa, he already saw the three great buildings from afar.

It looked like a palace complex in the mortal kingdoms, only many tis smaller and more open.

After all, the main inhabitants were ducks. There were only three rooms fit for Fengyu to walk in freely –

His bedroom he constructed in case he had to stay close to the ducks and two spare rooms.

Now he could use one!

Arriving at the villa, he heard so quacking but not many.

"It seems most are still out," Fengyu guessed as he walked in.

"Quack quack, quack." Spring Rain told him that it was always a bit quiet when they had just sold the ducks, so the egg-laying ducks would go together to the pool to relax before the next round of ducklings was born.

"Haha, well, they deserve it!" Fengyu chuckled at the thought of these ducks treating it as a spa day.

Walking into the spare room from the side door, he saw that it wasn’t large, only seven square tres, looking more like a storage room than a spare room.

"Well, this fits for now." He nodded and stopped in front of the centre of the room.

Taking out the box, he used his spiritual control art to move out the totem wood piece and placed it into the centre.

"It truly looks mystical," Fengyu had to admit it was quite a beautiful relic of the past.

Pulling out the jade slip, he inspected the information and saw that it included the summoning rituals of the five elental spirits.

"Well, at least the five elents are the sa, making it easier.

To summon a water spirit, one has to put a bowl of water onto the totem. Water spirits can be gathered everywhere there is a water body, no matter how small.

Then I have to start the ritual chanting.

Finally, the ones that shall receive the blessings have to perform the worshipping ritual –

Put a drop of blood into the water bowl and sing a ritual chant..."

Fengyu read the last part and sighed in relief when he saw that the spirits didn’t care which language was used, as long as the aning was the sa.

But when he looked at the chant for the water spirit, he realised it was another language!

Sothing he had never seen before and barely understood because of the translation.

"Then how do I speak this?" he was suddenly worried when he saw this.

Was this like the Dao Language? Did he have to learn it for months to cast it?

"No, it’s written here that this language is called the Wu Language created by the witches, which focuses on ’Nature’.

The language was only a tool to better connect with nature.

As long as it sowhat resembled the language, nature would know you were speaking to it, and those that you want to talk to will receive this ’call’.

This language is so much kinder than the Dao Language!"

It was easy to understand why this was so – one language was about communicating with sowhat conscious beings, while the other was more like an expression of knowledge deeply compressed into words.

Therefore, these two languages had different difficulties. If you could convey aning with your thoughts, the Wu Language would be easier. If you were talented in reciting perfectly, then the Dao Language would be easier.

Fengyu wanted to try it out right away to see if he had talent in the Wu Language.

If he did, he might consider trying to learn so witchcraft in the future.

He walked out and quickly ca back with a bowl used as a drinking bowl by his ducks, then used his water control art to gather so water drops and fill it quickly.

Over the years, he had already learned the five control arts.

These arts were the easiest to learn but mastering them was even more difficult than mastering a spell.

Fengyu was still stuck at the Minor Accomplishnt stage with his Wood, Water, and Wind arts.

Having prepared everything, he looked at his ducks and told them to quack while conveying the according aning...
