Fengyu considered for a mont whether he should go out and buy a few things in preparation for this beast hunting trip.

Things like recovery pills for spiritual power, a second weapon, so talismans...

’While these things seem useful, the use they have for isn’t great. My foundation is stable and my dantian is full, with a high recovery speed.

The effect low-grade ones give is too low, mid-grade ones are fine and high-grade ones can’t be bought without making an order beforehand.

Though the most important factor is that by going out to purchase them, people will directly have a clue for what I do. Even if the steward doesn’t reveal anything, because I’m under the watch of so people, any movent in the village will be seen through.

It’s better to go out just like that,’ Fengyu considered for a long ti and ca to the conclusion that the benefit wasn’t worth the danger.

He looked at the two ducks staying behind and at Wind Claw who volunteered to go out beforehand, and for a long ti, he really didn’t know what to say.

In the end, he simply told them they’d see each other again in a bit.

"Hmm, Zimu, do you think I should tell Ming and Ling or even take them with ?"

Zimu looked at him in surprise, as it was different from their initial goal.

"Quack, let’s take them. They’ve shown how trustworthy they are, so taking them out for this trip will ensure not only our own safety but also theirs. Since they take care of Silver Shadow, they should be more careful."

"Indeed, then let’s go there."

The two ducks and man walked to the edge of the field, knocking on Ming and Ling’s formation.

It didn’t take long for them to appear, Silver Shadow in their hands.

"Senior brother, is it ti to cast spells on Silver Shadow already?" Ling’er asked with so surprise.

Although Silver Shadow reached maturity, Fengyu treated him the sa as the others, always giving so enhancing spells. The effect was poor but over a long period of treatnt, it might achieve sothing.

"No, there was sothing else I wanted to talk about.

I am planning to go out and slay beasts. Do you wish to co with ?"

"Slay beasts?! Senior brother, this task is extrely dangerous, don’t, don’t go!" Ling’er instantly panicked, and even the usual stern-faced Ming had sweat on his forehead.

Both suddenly entered a stateof extre panic, even Zimu spoke up, "Quack, quack, quack!"

Patting him gently, Fengyu could also see the ’un-peacefulness’ of these two. There was a deep shadow hidden in their heart, triggered now at the ntion of beasts.

"You two..." Fengyu looked in surprise at their great reaction. He understood their reaction he rembered why these two were alone in a field like that...

"Beasts will inevitably attack, no matter what you do. I’m going to hunt and slay beasts to gain so understanding of them and also test my own power.

If you two are willing to co with , I will ensure your protection.

When the beast tide cos, we can act together and defend against any enemy with a united front."

"Senior brother," Ling spoke up again, seemingly wanting to convince him to rethink it.

A mont of hesitation appeared on her face.

But as she called out, she stopped herself again.

This ti there wasn’t even a need for Ming to remind her, she knew very well how difficult life would be if she never learned how to handle beasts.

Should fear and trauma grip her and even endanger her future path?

Was this what her father would have wanted to happen?

Ling’er’s thoughts overlapped with Ming, whose eyes beca red, a look of manic determination.

Could she et him in the netherworld and tell him she had died because she was too scared to fight back?

Looking at Silver Shadow in her hands, she suddenly realised that this cute pet she thought of was actually a beast too –

A sigh of exhaustion mixed with relief left her weak lips as she nodded.

"We’ll go too," she said, then looked down to Silver Shadow.

"Silver Shadow, could you stay behind and take care of our field?"

"Quack, quack quack!" Silver Shadow refuted in a similar fashion to his mother.

Without needing Fengyu to say anything, Ling’er seed to get a general gist of what he said and refuted him, then explained to him how they needed him to protect the field, and how they couldn’t leave it behind, possibly making them lose all their rice.

"If you two are willing, I can tell Spring Rain to create a cloud over your field too.

Although it’s a rough spell and not as effective as you two’s careful cultivation, after all, it’ll still be better than leaving your field unattended."

Ming spoke up this ti, "Thank you, senior brother, but we can solve this issue. Our harvest might be a bit less this ti, but the overall situation won’t degenerate too much.

Since Spring Rain will stay behind, he will already have to take care of your field."

"Very well, then, are you ready to go now?" Fengyu didn’t hesitate and invited them right away.

"Now?" Ling’er asked before answering herself, "Yes, now is the best ti. The second decade after the beast tide hasn’t co yet, making it the safest ti to hunt beasts before they form dense nets of territories."

Hearing this, Fengyu nodded and was a bit surprised.

’These two, they always seem like a naïve and a stern person, but now that I look at it... it’s more like Ming focuses on their own field while Ling focuses on the things outside.

Could it be that my short speech at that ti was effective?

Though the most important thing is that they trust each other’s words so deeply, with not a single mont of hesitation.

It seems the path of these two is also sowhat secured!’

He smiled and said, "Let’s go!"

Without any further delay, he walked towards the outside of his formation.

The twins and he both lived at the peripheral area, the most dangerous, but also the safest in so way.

At least they could go out and co back as they wished without being noticed by others.

No one would dare observe them from outside the formation and the village, for the danger is too great and the reward too little.

Walking out, Fengyu looked over and saw that the formation was closed again.

So ti ago he told all his ducks to have a partial refinent of the formation plate and now Spring Rain would take care of the formation since his strength in battle was low.

Ming and Ling beca more cautious in their steps when going out, following closely behind Fengyu...
