With a soft sigh, Fengyu left this grand hospital.
"Quack, isn’t this one good? It also feels very peaceful." Zimu comnted as they walked down the street towards the main road.
"As a patient, I would like it. But as a doctor, can you imagine the hurdles?
To be honest, if it wasn’t for the possible opportunities, I don’t think entering a hospital is of great benefit to . Rather, it would be better to open a doctor’s office or treatnt centre in my own field, so as to not waste ti going to and from work.
Let’s visit the third one. If that one isn’t closer to my idea of how I would like to work, then I will choose this one and stay for a couple years."
Although dejected, Fengyu didn’t deny that the opportunities hidden in this place had to be plentiful. Even if it was just treating patients, gaining experience, building connections and increasing cultivation, that would be more than worth the invested ti.
As he walked, he saw the apothecary he had passed before. So ti had passed and the sun was right above them, it had reached midday. A few custors entered the apothecary, chatting and purchasing a few items.
Raising his gaze, he saw the na of this apothecary, "Wind Leaf Apothecary", a rather ordinary yet good na. He would rember it for the future.
...
He soon reached the northern main street and walked right past the hustle and bustle, being sowhat interested but not having the ti to enjoy these. He still hadn’t taken care of Zimu’s matter, and he ca to the city with a goal, so there really was no excuse for him to be distracted.
Walking by the path, he saw a surprising scene - open gardens, or rather, parks, with many humans, half-beasts and even real beasts walking around or sitting on benches, enjoying the sunlight and the presence of nature in this large city.
A sigh escaped his mouth once more. ’This city... it truly thought of many things,’ he thought. Only when one’s mind is calm like a sea may one pursue their own Dao. The turbulent city is great for interactions between cultivators, but it also disrupts the peace of mind. Such small spots of leisure and contemplation allow the mind to let go of these wandering thoughts.
He considered his own ti and knew he couldn’t waste much, but spending just ten minutes would be fine, right?
Walking up to a bench in a corner with fewer people, he sat down, looking at a tree standing nearby.
"Zimu, I think I like this city." he said softly. In the months he was in this city, he hadn’t seen much nor done much. One important matter ca after another, and yet the bits and parts of the city made him feel comfortable.
"Quack, too! The peaceful aura is strong, giving a feeling I only partially felt when I was in the village. Staying here, my cultivation has beco a lot faster. I think in just fifteen years, I might already reach the peak of this stage." Zimu agreed with Fengyu’s statent, adding that not only did it like it here, it even helped its cultivation subtly.
"Fifteen years without resources, maybe ten with resources, and even shorter based on the actual situation. Don’t set things in stone," Fengyu smiled while saying this, his eyes bright as he thought of what the future would unfold for him.
A mont later, he stood up and walked to the north west of the city, feeling he had relaxed enough.
As he walked down the street to the north west, he gradually saw more and more beasts and half beasts, their aura varying from Qi Refining to Foundation Building and even auras he couldn’t discern.
To his surprise, even the beasts with lower intelligence only glanced over at him, showing no aggression and even goodwill.
He thought that the city might have different people, but there would inevitably be so conflict. Now it seed that he had underestimated the cities’ 10.000 years of continuous cultivation.
They had achieved such great things, cultivating for a year symbolising great foundation and myriad possibilities. Naturally they had taken care of many issues.
Whether there would be issues he didn’t know of, or conflicts hidden beneath the surface, he didn’t know nor did he care. As long as it didn’t affect him nor cause great chaos ruining this peaceful place, he would simply close his eyes and not think about it. At least not for now.
Soon, he saw a large street seven to ten carriages wide - clearly it wasn’t a main street, so why was it so large? When he walked into the street, he saw why. Beasts of various sizes reaching several tres, many as large as a carriage, walked along this path!
Though it seed like this was the limit of the beasts’ sizes, which was surprising, considering there were many beasts that had strong auras. Thinking of this, he rembered a technique among beasts, sothing most beasts learned at the second stage - the shrinking technique!
Although they couldn’t transform, shrinking was still possible, and even healing them in this form was fine. It’s just that when healing the shrunk form, you still have to heal them as if their original body was present. Whether healing the original body or the shrunk form depended on the doctor’s skill then.
Fengyu walked along these beasts, feeling barely any difference than when he walked along the eastern main street.
’It seed I was a bit too excited, thinking that beasts would be ferocious and such. But here, even a fierce tiger seems like a dostic cat! Well, humans can dosticate beasts through training, doesn’t this an that beasts can behave well on their own as long as they want? Especially since it’s Spiritual Beasts who use their intelligence to suppress their instincts!’ he concluded that it wasn’t surprising the beasts here were acting like humans in different form.
Just as he looked for the third hospital, thinking it would also be in a separate alleyway, he saw sothing else -
A huge three story hospital, with each floor being ten tres tall, stood like a giant at an intersection with many beasts coming and going!
