"Umm. What do you an exactly?" Muku asked trying to act dumb.
"Co on. Don't be like that. Aren't we all friends here? I told you what you wanted to know, so why won't you tell what I want to know?" Althea imdiately called him out.
"What we asked wasn't nearly as personal" Muku replied.
"Hmm. Good point. You can ask anything personal you want to know. Do you want to know about my relationship status? I'm single and have never been in a relationship. Oh, and I don't mind males from different species. So you might have a chance" Althea replied flirtatiously.
"R... really? Oww. Cough. I an. That's not necessary to tell us. We'll answer your questions, but we hope that you can accept that we can't answer everything" Muku replied.
He was a bit taken aback by what Althea said while subtly flexing her body which looked as human as Raya's. But a pinch from Emily brought him back.
"Oh, okay. Well, tell about your strength then. How is it that you're already R7 when I know that most people on your planet are LR6 at most? There's literally no beasts to kill for KP there after all" Althea asked.
"Oh, that. That's simple. We got lucky and got transported into space once when we encountered two R6s. It seems the World Spirit doesn't like R6 fights to happen on the planet. Anyway, after that fight. We noticed a neighbouring planet that had many R6s we took out. It wasn't too hard because of the planet's elental suppression on them" Muku replied truthfully.
There was no reason to hide that after all. Besides, Althea had told them a lot, including spicy information they didn't need to know. So telling her sothing wasn't a bad thing.
And if they didn't say anything, she might get mad and kill them all, so...
"Ah... So that's how it is. It seems those bastards are doing so things behind my back. I thought they were only attacking the Universe's source planet. But they are attacking the surrounding ones too? They are going to hear from about this" Althea angrily comnted.
"What, I thought you weren't involved in the plan?" Muku asked.
"Oh, I'm not. But that doesn't an that I don't want to know what's going on. After all, I even went through the trouble of finding a champion... Who is crashing all of theirs by the way. Except for Ares... Because his is dead. Haha. I wish I could et the human who killed him. Anyway, this brings to my next question, like I asked before, why does this one sll like Ares?" Althea replied then asked the sa question again.
"We're just as confused as you on that. None of us knew. In fact, we're at odds with that bastard. As for who killed his champion, that would be ... Almost got assassinated a few tis after that, but I don't regret it" Muku replied.
"Really? It was you? Hahahaha. Good job! I like you more and more. I can clearly sense the hatred in your voice. It's the sa he has for you when he speaks. Trying to assassinate you is definitely sothing the petty thief would try to do. As for this Ms, if she's with you, I at least know that she isn't with him. And I have a theory now. Can she show her mana... Or whatever energy she uses..." Althea replied happily.
She seed to enjoy Ares' suffering quite a lot.
"...." Jade didn't imdiately do sothing but looked toward Muku first.
He nodded and it was only then that she released a little of her divine Beast Aura.
Seeing it, Althea's eyes widened I'm surprised. The. Amusent appeared in her eyes.
"Oh? This is quite unexpected. Suddenly, I'm looking forward to the future. Fufu hahaha. A great show is coming for sure. I can't wait!" Althea started laughing in between her speech like a person who had gone crazy with happiness after winning the lottery.
"Care to tell us why you're so happy?" Muku asked curiously. The girls wanted to know too. Especially Jade.
She felt a burning desire to know, like she was finally about to get the final puzzle piece to her life's mystery.
"Hmm. Should I say it or not? h. It's not like I was involved anyway, so let tell you. This Ms here is sohow a descendant of the original Monarch of War. A lineage that should have been wiped out a long long ti ago. I wasn't even a Monarch during those days. Just a young fox spirit following my Master around. Anyway, I'm not sure what happened but all the Monarchs from that ti disappeared for a ti. When they appeared, all of them were injured. In fact, so returned as corpses. Their supposedly immortal souls had been destroyed. My Master wasn't critically injured but injured enough to need to go into retreat for a long ti. However, the Monarch of War was beyond saving. He died soon after coming back. But that was after giving his authority to his wife. Who was interestingly a human..." Althea paused for a bit to let it sink in.
"Anyway. His human wife didn't imdiately gain complete control of the authority. This ant that while she was technically a Monarch, she didn't have a Monarch's power. But she was a top expert if Monarchs were ignored. So there wasn't much of a problem really. The problem ca when a certain Golden Gorilla had the idea to assassinate her and steal the authority. It was a crazy plan since the gorilla wasn't her match. But sohow, it worked. Maybe because she was still weakened and had her guard down after having a child and likely having been involved in another big battle sowhere. I'm not sure. After that, the gorilla, who's Ares obviously, wiped out the whole clan behind the old lineage. But sohow, the lady escaped with her child though the authority along with her heart had been taken. She could have recovered from that had her soul not also been cursed to fade away soon after that. It's sothing only ancient and super-rare artifacts can do. Ares was very thorough in his preparation I guess...." Althea paused again.
This ti it was because of Jade's aura that was rampaging in the whole room. Her eyes had long turned red with anger. And she was getting angrier and angrier the more she heard.
Althea had been ignoring it up to that point.
"Please continue" Jade spoke in a calm voice even though her actions suggested that she was about to blow.
"Okay. Now where was I? Right, after she escaped with the baby, she was never heard of again. But from what I have heard, Ares perford a bloodline elimination ritual that killed any and everyone with the bloodline left in the Beast World. Which wasn't called that at the ti by the way. It was called Haven if I'm not mistaken. And from what I hear, there was a na before that too that was lost in history but whatever. Anyway, after that, we all assud that the lineage was no more" Althea spoke.
"What about the human world? Did the spell affect them too?" Muku asked.
"Human World? That didn't exist at the ti. It was part of this world. Everything was one big world. In fact, it was around that ti that the world was split I think. Many years after that, the first beast attack on the human world happened. Of course, we didn't win otherwise we wouldn't be here right now. The humans were so tenacious back then. But we didn't lose either. We just agreed on a temporary truce and will fight again later. That later is fast approaching... Or it's already here? Well, whatever. Oh, and I might be saying "We" but again, I wasn't involved back then. I was busy guarding Ares' door" Althea continued.
"Huh? Why is that?" Muku asked confusedly while the other girls were gathered around Jade trying to calm her down.
"Well, the bastard didn't stop at attacking the Monarch of War. He also attacked my Master. They fought and both sides were heavily injured. My Master couldn't survive that on top of his old wounds unfortunately. So he died after passing on the authority to . He also locked the secret dinsion with the last of his power. It could get out until I was strong enough. Which was probably for the best because I would have long sought out Ares and gotten killed at the ti. Fortunately, my master's damage kept Ares in retreat for many years before he could go out. By the ti he ca out, the other authorities had been claid and new Monarchs had appeared. Ones not any weaker than him. In fact, most were stronger. Which was a good thing because if he hadn't been forced into retreat he might have claid most of the authorities and beco unstoppable" Althea explained.
"Oh. So that's what happened. It seems Ares really is the trash I thought he was" Muku spoke disdainfully.
"Whoa, now. You shouldn't casually say his na here. If I weren't here, he would have found you out and killed you on the spot. He can co with his real body now unlike back in your world" Althea cautioned...
