Fortunately, it seems that was the last group of Tactoa people who knew where they were.
They were probably sent after the first group. So they knew the general location from the start. Which ant their eting was more of an unlucky encounter than a predetermined thing.
At the very least, everyone thought that was the case. If it were, maybe that creature would leave them alone...
But then again, what if the creature targeted them when it got hungry and didn’t receive its Tactoa al?
No, they couldn’t possibly be that unlucky right? Besides, it had already been a while since the last ti they clashed with Tactoa. So if it wanted to attack, it would have attacked.
Hell, maybe it was already gone. After all, they couldn’t sense it at all, not even a vague feeling of being watched could be felt.
This ant one of three things, the obvious aning was that it left, the second was that it was so much stronger than them that they couldn’t sense its gaze and lastly, it was lurking around them, but wasn’t paying attention to them specifically, so they didn’t feel like they were being watched as they technically weren’t...
Klaus bet that it was either the first or the last. The middle one seed unlikely and quite terrifying, so he wished that it wasn’t it along with the reasoning that it wasn’t...
After all, if it was that strong, couldn’t it just go attack their base directly or sothing?
Anyway, such thoughts didn’t change their situation. What the group needed right now was a way to get their mind off things...
Just as he was thinking that, a lake appeared in their line of sight... His eyes brightened instantly. This was just what they needed. They could go for a swim as well as wash their clothes. Both things should make everyone feel a lot better...
"Everyone, do you all see that beautiful lake? I don’t know about you, but I’m going for a swim when we get there..." Klaus spoke while looking at the lake.
The others saw it too and they liked the idea. It was just what they needed to loosen up.
Everyone was experienced enough to know that their current ntal state wasn’t optimal for surviving in the current world. Hell, it wasn’t optimal for any version of the world...
"I’ll definitely join you, Leader!"

"I’ll show you all my legendary swimming skills!"
"Shut up! Your class is literally called Aqua Soldier! What natural swimming skills could you possibly have?!"
"Ey! Just because my class is water-related doesn’t an that I myself aren’t good at dealing with water. Besides, isn’t my class a part of ? What could be more natural than taking advantage of a part of ?"
"Oh? So you admit that your legendary skills are all from your class huh?"
"Hahaha. I knew it! There’s no way soone like John could have legendary skills. That is if we don’t count his legendary skill of getting rejected by every girl he has ever approached!"
"Hey! Why are you all getting so personal with ?! Leader! I’m being bullied! I need justice!"
"Hahaha"...
Everyone began laughing after John’s complaint.
Klaus smiled without saying anything. The lake really was wondrous. Everyone was already doing better even before getting in. Just ntioning it was enough...
Soon enough the ground reached the lake...
And it was even more beautiful up close...
Everyone was ready to jump in when they noticed sothing...
There were already two people swimming in the lake...
A little girl and her young father... The man looked too young to be the father of such a big girl. But it was the apocalyptic world. So the dude might be in his thirties and just looked young...
But that wasn’t the most interesting thing about the duo. The most interesting thing was how the young girl was literally swimming circles around the man who seed to be struggling a little bit like a newbie in swimming.
But how was it that the daughter was an expert swimr but the father sucked?...
"Hey over there! Can we join you for a swim?" Klaus called out to gain Muku’s attention after noticing that the other party wasn’t paying attention to them even though they were easy to see and their auras weren’t completely suppressed.
It was his way of showing that they didn’t an any harm.
"Sure. But first, destroy the gri on your bodies with your mana. Got to keep the water clean. Oh and, we don’t need to talk. You do you, and we do we" Muku replied while swimming further away from them to show that he really wanted nothing to do with them.
He had actually noticed them long before they noticed him. But he no longer got excited from eting new people like in his earlier days.
Back then, people were possibly useful allies. Now, well, he had a team of monsters getting even monstrous at that very mont. And he also had Lisa’s mini-army.
So he really did need to care about people. Like he said, as long as they don’t bother with him, he won’t bother with them...
"How rude! Let go teach him a lesson" One of the stronger mbers of Klaus’s group was extrely offended by how Muku disregarded their leader.
Hell, most of the mbers felt the sa and supported what the guy was about to do.
However, Klaus stopped him by grabbing his shoulder.
"I won’t stop you. But if you die there, I will also not intervene. That man doesn’t know us, we don’t know him. So why do you feel offended by him? Since when were you so hot-headed? I thought everyone here thought things out before acting. But seems I was wrong. We haven’t even done anything noteworthy other than running away but you’re so arrogant already... Besides that, I can’t sense any mana from him or his daughter. Can you?" Klaus thoroughly rebuked the man. But at the sa ti, he was teaching him and the others.
Everyone paid closer attention to Muku and Raya after Klaus spoke.
And as he said, they couldn’t sense anything. And yet, wherever the duo went, the beasts there would scatter.
This scene made the arrogant man feel a cold chill go down his spine. Sure, the beasts were weak. But they clearly knew sothing he didn’t. So like Klaus said, if he really did find trouble with the man. Death was a possibility...
"You’re right Leader. I’m sorry. I don’t know what was wrong with . Please punish ". The man bowed in front of Klaus while apologising.
"There’s no need. Just don’t let it happen next ti lest you cause trouble for the whole group. And I promise you this. If such a ti cos, I will disown you with hesitation for I refuse to die because of one person’s stupidity. And that goes for the rest of you all. Arrogance will get you nothing but death in this world" Klaus replied seriously.
"We will rember and live by your words leader!" The group all exclaid at the sa ti.
"Good. Now enough of that. Clean your bodies and jump in!" Klaus spoke in a more gentle tone. Then destroyed all the dirt on his body before jumping into the lake.
The others joyfully did the sa. And soon the group were rrily enjoying themselves in the water. All the ntal fatigue they felt was getting slowly washed away by the water...
Muku looked on for a bit from a distance...
"Hmm. What a decent leader... And I really should bring the girls here next ti. Being here alone sucks" Muku spoke softly.
"Alone? What am I then? A ghost?" Raya snapped from a distance away.
"Oh, please. You know what I an" Muku replied dismissively. He felt that the child really cared too much about little details.
"No, I don’t know what you an. Tsk. Whatever... Did you also sense what I sensed?" Raya asked seriously.
"Do you an the trace of Legion’s energy on them? Why yes. Why do you ask?" Muku replied nonchalantly.
"Aren’t you worried about that thing making an appearance again?" Raya asked while rolling her eyes.
She really hated the relaxed and nonchalant version of Muku. He never took things seriously.
"No, not really. And don’t you want it to appear so that you can finish it off if it really managed to survive? Besides, I doubt it’s Legion. They probably encountered mbers from Tactoa. It would be naive to think that we’re the only ones they are finding trouble with after all. And if it was really Legion. Do you think they’d be here now?" Muku replied while trying all kinds of swimming techniques.
"Hmm. I guess you’re right. But I did also sense a vague glare from the distance before it disappeared..." Raya spoke.
"Maybe they were being trailed by sothing which got scared away by us. There’s no need to worry about such things that don’t involve us... Anyway, I think we’ve stayed here long enough, let’s go back..." Muku replied.
"Fine" Raya finally relented. She then ca closer to Muku. Touched his shoulder and they both disappeared from the lake without causing any commotion...
"So they really were experts huh..." Klaus whispered to himself while looking at the place Muku and Raya had disappeared from.
The power they used was completely unfamiliar to him.
It looked like they were so fast they disappeared. But he felt that speed had nothing to do with it, and they just disappeared.
Which was both interesting and scary...
