Chapter 91: Her Gifts

King Duncan looked at Prince Gamaru. He knew that the crown prince of Lupanya had a few concubines but didn’t have his consort yet. "If my granddaughter falls for you, I don’t have an issue. You can pursue her if you want."

Gamaru smiled. He looked at Prince Ibarra and waited for his answer.

"My stance is the sa as my father’s. You can woo her. Whether she will like you or not depends on her."

The king of Albania smirked. "How can you compare with my three sons? I advise you young man not to continue. Defeat is a shaful thing."

Prince Gamaru chuckled. "It is not for you to say that Your Highness. The final say falls on Princess Amaya."

Marx escorted Amaya as she went from table to table to greet her guests, many of whom she did not recognize. She lingered on the table where her classmates were seated.

"You are so beautiful, Amaya. The God of the heavens is so unfair. Why did he bestow all the good things on you?" Julienne playfully winked at her. Raymundo who was seated beside Julienne was dumbstruck. He could not peel his gaze from the princess.

Amaya was surprised to see Samantha and Ardana at the party. She did not expect them to attend even if they have the invitation. Samatha wasn’t looking at Amaya. She did not even greet her. She was checking out the handso man with blue eyes, and dark blonde hair. She was srized by his deep-set eyes. His heart-shaped face was emphasized because he parted his hair to the right and flipped back the frills. A wisp of hair covered a little bit of his right forehead creating a manly look.

Marx glared at her when he noticed that she was ogling him. His appearance was a stand out amongst the population of people living in the tropical continent where Lireya belonged. He attracted a lot of attention because he looked different. He did not just look different but he was extrely handso.

Samantha was the epito of shalessness. She plastered a fake smile on her face and greeted Amaya sweetly. "Happy eighteenth birthday, Amaya. Why don’t you introduce us to your friend here?"

Amaya looked at Marx. She paused for a mont but she wanted to be polite. "This is Marx Skylar, my savior. He is from Usturia. Marx, these are my classmates." Then she recited their nas by the order they were standing around Amaya.

"Nice eting you Marx. I hope you are enjoying your stay here in Lireya." Samantha eagerly extended her hand for a handshake but Marx did not raise his. He just glanced at her extended hands coldly. Samantha retracted her hands and hid them behind her back. She was embarrassed.

"Yes, I am enjoying my stay here," Marx answered coldly. He then whispered sothing in Amaya’s ear.

"Excuse us, we still need to attend to our other guests. Please enjoy the food and the wine."

Amaya and Marx moved from table to table until they reached the one where the princesses and princes of Albania were seated. Amaya was surprised to find Danella seated beside Argo and Donello was also sitting beside a beautiful young lady around his age.

Prince Raquim stood and bowed before Amaya. He cast a furtive glance at Marx.

"These are my siblings, Princess," he started. "You already know, Argo and Damien as you danced with them earlier." Amaya nodded and glance briefly at the two young princes. "That is Sudaya sitting beside Donello. She is our youngest and the sa age as the twins. This is Tamara. She just turned eighteen three months ago."

Amaya smiled at Tamara. She slowly approached her. "Nice eting you, Princess." Amaya was hoping that she could be friends with her. She looked amiable and nice.

Tamara smiled back. "Geez, drop the formality. Let us just call each other’s nas. It is much shorter and faster to say." she said casually.

Amaya chuckled at her frankness. She already liked her. She was a down-to-earth person.

Prince Argo and Damien were both admiring Amaya’s beauty but they retracted their gazes when their older brother gave them a fierce glance.

"May I call the celebrant to co up the stage to accept the gifts from your well-wishers," the master of ceremonies announced over the microphone. Marx assisted Amaya when she went up the stage.

The first to offer her a gift was her grandparents. Her grandma has retired to her chamber to rest so it was only her grandfather who went up the stage. His hands were empty. Amaya and the audience were confused.

The large screen at the wall behind her brightened and a majestic white horse appeared. Amaya exclaid and covered her mouth with her hands. It was a childish act that she was yet to outgrow. She forgot about etiquette and hugged her grandfather tight.

"Thank you, Grandpa. I love the horse."

Her Daddy Ibarra together with Consort Nelida went up the stage and presented her with a key. She has already seen such a thing before and she knew it was a car key. A red Porche appeared on the screen behind her. She hugged both her Daddy Ibarra and her Aunt Nelida and thanked them. Nelida hated her hug. She wanted to recoil but she cannot do that as there were many eyes watching.

Prince Gamaru presented her with a gift from the Kingdom of Lupanya. It was an expensive jewelry set of a tiara, a necklace, a bracelet, and a ring.

Prince Raquim on behalf of his father, also presented her with another jewelry set. It was a common practice during their ti to give jewelry as gifts during coming of age ceremony of princesses.

The crown prince of Albania took his guitar and offered it to Amaya. "This guitar is very special to . Since this is the first guitar that you played, I am giving this to you as my birthday gift. Please take care of it."

Amaya accepted the guitar. She blushed when she t the intent gaze of the prince. She thanked him for a second ti.

As it was getting late, the emcee asked Amaya to give her speech.

"Thank you everyone for making my birthday a morable one. This is the first ti I am celebrating my birthday with so many people. On my seventh birthday and my every birthday afterward, it was only my Daddy Ibrahim and

and my pets." Amaya paused. The cara focused on her and a closeup of her beautiful face was displayed on the screen on the wall. She looked forlorn and was about to cry.
