Chapter 393: Dark Phoenix’s Ultimate Plan
At a mansion in the luxurious residences south of the Capital City, a man in his early fifties was sitting in a wheelchair while enjoying a cup of coffee in the wee hours of the morning.
The wheelchair’s armrest expanded by twenty centiters and transford into a side table holding a delicate porcelain saucer where the coffee mug sat.
"Supre Leader, the Defense Minister’s mansion was attacked."
A figure draped in a black hood knelt on the carpeted floor on his right knee, delivering a report. His hands were intertwined, clutching a dark cell phone, and rested on his sharply angled left knee.
The coffee mug suddenly froze mid-air just inches away from the Supre Leader’s lips. With a sharp, forceful movent, it was placed back onto the porcelain saucer, producing a resounding ’clang’ that echoed through the room.
The kneeling figure pulled out his cellphone and began playing a video, projecting the images onto the blank, white wall in front of the man confined in a wheelchair.
The Supre Leader gazed intently as the footage captured an enigmatic figure clad in black effortlessly scaling the towering fence before vanishing from sight.
"How is that possible? Wasn’t he supposed to have died in the plane crash?" The Supre Leader exclaid, a look of disbelief on his face.
"Supre Leader, based on his stature and movent, he seed pretty young. He might be a copycat and not that ’man’ from long ago." the man in the black hood explained.
"Is anything stolen from the mansion?" the man in the wheelchair asked, his gaze turned a shade deeper.
"The server was targeted by a hacker who managed to infiltrate it with a trojan. It took a while for the team to secure the server, and they are currently investigating to determine if any information was compromised."
"Useless! Replace those idiots right away. You can recruit from our affiliated universities in the three continents. There should be a batch of geniuses graduating this year. We have cultivated them in the past four years, and it should be ti for them to beco useful."
"I’ll contact the dean of those universities imdiately," the man in the black hood responded respectfully.
"How about the Defense Minister’s bedroom?"
"Supre Leader, we found traces of forced entry coming from the balcony." His voice shuddered as the man in the wheelchair would definitely be angry.
"So, Jas is getting old. How could Dragon Lord evade all the surveillance and the elite guards stationed at the mansion?"
The kneeling man’s eyes flickered. Jason was the head of security at the Black Mansion. He was his father.
"Jason, tell your father to et
at 9:00 a.m. I want a detailed report of what really happened. I can’t believe that such a mishap would happen under his watch. I just left the mansion two days ago."
"I will bring him here, Supre Leader." The man called Jason replied with a trembling voice. He feared for his father.
The supre leader noticed the tremor in his voice.
"I do not doubt Jas’ loyalty. I trained him personally, and I know where his loyalty lies. I want to understand what happened."
The Supre Leader was ruthless and vengeful, but he was kind to the few people who were loyal and willing to lay down their lives for him.
"Did they discover the hidden study?"
"No, Supre Leader. There was no trace of forced entry nor indication that the secret door was tampered with."
The man in the wheelchair exhaled deeply, feeling relief wash over him. The existence of the secret chamber was known to only a select few: the defense minister, Jason, and his father, Jas, the butler at the Black mansion who also served as a loyal subordinate, and the IT genius responsible for designing the chamber’s security, a fervent supporter of the Dark Phoenix’s cause.
"We observed a suspicious rented black vehicle traveling along Highway 55, and I imdiately dispatched our elite personnel to apprehend the driver."
"Good! You are dismissed."
The young man remained kneeling on his right knee and did not attempt to rise. He seed intent on conveying so more ssages to the Supre Leader.
"If you have sothing to say, then say it."
"Supre Leader, The Zui Gao faction of the Dark Phoenix, has completely crumbled. Additionally, Gray Pharmaceutical has ceased production of the antiviral drug to minimize its losses and has begun to disassociate from the Dark Phoenix. Furthermore, it has generously donated a substantial amount of the drug to hospitals dealing with high incidences of the Octa Virus and made it available to the public at a 50% discount."
The coffee mug on the table was suddenly hurled towards the man kneeling on the floor. It narrowly missed his head by just two centiters before crashing into the wall.
Then, with a sharp, echoing crash, the mug t the hard surface of the cent wall. The mug shattered on impact, fragnts bursting outward in a chaotic spray of jagged pieces. A loud thud reverberated through the room as black coffee splashed against the white wall, dark liquid splattering in uneven streaks.
Jason anxiously held his breath, his body frozen, not daring to make a sound or even a slight movent. He had never seen his Supre Leader so angry before.
The man in the wheelchair erupted in fury, his voice booming, "What in the world could have gone so terribly wrong?"
"The Nower Research Institute is the reason, as you already knew, Supre Leader. Additionally, Lireya’s immune booster is saturating the market, and it is available at a very reasonable price." Despite his apprehension of the Supre Leader, Jason maintained his composure and provided a clear explanation.
The man in the wheelchair quivered with fury. Over the past few years, he had carefully and ticulously plotted to undermine the global economy and seize control of the world’s wealth.
His plan was to wait until people were despondent and had lost all hope, and then he would appear as the world’s savior—the ultimate leader who would restore order to chaos, offer hope to the hopeless, and deliver salvation to those in despair.
No. He refused to accept that everything he worked so hard would be in vain.
"Convene the emperors of the four continents and the leaders of the major sects for an ergency eting."
