Chapter 379: Dark Phoenix Reborn From The Ashes
Princess Amaya: ’How co you don’t know him? He is one of my guards, and he said he arranged for you to send the raw materials for the immune booster that we created a year ago.’
Princess Amaya noticed the three dots dancing on the screen of her cell phone beside Dave’s ID. The Princess patiently waited, but even after two minutes passed, Dave had not finished typing. Her right eyebrow went up, and she happened to glance at Leon sitting at her side.
Leon held his black phone in one hand. His thumb quickly tapped on the screen, and his eyes focused on the device. His brows were slightly furrowed as he concentrated on reading the ssage on his phone. His other hand rested on his left thigh. The light from his phone screen, cast a soft, bluish glow on his face, making it look gentler.
Princess Amaya was srized by his handso face. The longer she looked, the more familiar it beca.
Her cell phone vibrated and chid, announcing an incoming ssage. She tore away her gaze from Leon and read the ssage on her phone.
Dave: ’Ah yes, Leon. He was one of our military escorts in a few of our expeditions.’
Leon montarily halted the movent of his hand and subtly lifted his head, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips. Although engrossed in his cell phone, he was aware that Princess Amaya was stealing glances at him.
The phone in his hand vibrated. Drake has replied.
Drake: ’Boss, my flight was delayed. There was an incident when we were about to take off. An agent from the International Bureau of Investigation entered the plane and headed directly to my seat. I thought I was discovered. Fortunately, he was after the two people seated beside , who were money launderers escaping Uropa. I almost had a heart attack.’
Leon: ’Too noisy. When did you learn to write so many words?’
Drake: ’...’
Leon: ’When are you leaving for Lireya? Help Dave to mass produce Princess Amaya’s immune booster.’
Drake: ’Boss, all incoming and outgoing comrcial flights are canceled in Usturia. How do I get there?’
Leon pondered for a mont before typing.
Leon: I’ll send instructions. Soone will contact you.
Leon placed his cell phone on the table and faced Princess Amaya.
"Princess, are you willing to let Skylar Pharmaceuticals produce the Immune Booster pills and ampules for you? The number of infected persons in Usturia is rapidly increasing and there will be a high demand for your Immuno booster.
When Princess Amaya heard that it was Skylar Pharmaceuticals, she did not hesitate.
"I am willing. We can sign an agreent. However, they can only market the product as an immune booster, which will only be called ImmunifyMax. Dave can handle that for . I also have a lawyer who can assist Dave in legal matters." Princes Amaya sounded confident and professional.
Leon could not help but take a second look at her.
"Sounds good. I’ll reach out to a contact at Skylar Pharmaceuticals and get in touch with Dave and the lawyer."
Princess Amaya humd a cheerful tune as she gracefully rose from her seat and casually tossed the plastic tray toward the garbage can in the corner of the room.
The door swung open. Two figures clad in protective gear stepped into the room. Even with their faces obscured by their face shields, the heavy atmosphere that accompanied Doctor Wallace and Doctor Peterson was palpable to everyone present.
"We have just been inford that the situation outside has deteriorated. Even Uropa has not been immune to the Octa virus. We now have over 500 confird cases, with 50 resulting in death. It’s alarming to think that 50 lives have been lost, and there are currently 100 critical cases. This is unprecedented. Even during the onset of COVID, the impact was not as rapid and devastating as this." Dr. Wallace expressed deep concern and frustration.
"That many deaths when the virus spread just a few hours ago?" Princess Amaya was alard to hear about the significant number of deaths that occurred shortly after the virus spread.
"The majority of the individuals who lost their lives were employees of the Crystal Hotel. However, the guests were fortunate to have been spared from the tragic fate. They had purchased a highly-priced antiviral drug available exclusively from pharmacies that were owned by the Grays." It was Doctor Peterson who spoke. He still sounded troubled though he was not as passionate as Doctor Wallace.
Princess Amaya’s mind raced as she fixated on the na Stephane Gray. Could he be related to the influential Gray family? Then again, there were nurous prominent Grays scattered throughout Uropa.
"Did soone take responsibility?" Leon asked if anyone had stepped forward to take responsibility for the spread of the virus. Even though he had his own ideas about who might be responsible, he wanted to verify the information with a trustworthy source.
"The Dark Phoenix took responsibility!"
Dr. Wallace was seething with anger as he recounted the chilling words of the Dark Phoenix. According to him, the infamous figure had openly taken responsibility for initiating chaos, citing a belief that the world had beco too corrupted and needed to be purged to make way for a new order. As he spoke, his frustration was palpable, culminating in a forceful kick to the coffee table standing beside the couch.
Suddenly, the cute and chubby ExZee appeared from Amaya’s watch in a holographic form.
"Princess, there is a new trending topic on the internet. It was pushed to the top search after Dark Phoenix claid responsibility for the spread of the virus."
"What is it?" Princess Amaya asked with much anticipation.
