Chapter 375: Get Out of There

In the hospital’s n’s restroom, the man who looked like Charles Gray glanced at the man with curly hair and a black suit slumped on the toilet bowl. Even with an expensive suit, one could see that the man had been through the vicissitudes of life because of his harsh features and the deep lines etched on his forehead.

’Charles Gray’ had changed into faded denim jeans and a snug blue polo shirt. He then picked up the worn-out black jacket from the unconscious man. After locking the cubicle door, he used the man’s legs as a step to climb out.

He took a cheap-looking cell phone from his pocket and sent soone a ssage.

’It is done. The phoenix has shed its feathers. -D’

He waited. After a while, his cell phone dinged. He received a reply.

’Good. Get out of there and go back to the base in Lireya. Wait for

there.’

The man swiftly left the restroom as a group of dical interns entered, quickly donning a surgical mask as he went.

He walked along the hallway leading to the ICU and paused when he heard the shrill cry of a woman asking where Charles Gray was. He changed direction and headed toward the stairway and casually exited the hospital.

The man with a wild tangle of curls jolted awake, disoriented to find himself confined within a small cubicle inside the restroom. As he gingerly rubbed the back of his head, a dull ache pulsed beneath his fingertips. His gaze drifted downward, and he inhaled sharply as he realized that his attire had inexplicably transford.

He couldn’t shake the image of the man in an expensive tailored suit from earlier. As he stood at the sink, desperately trying to wash away the evidence of his tears, the man nonchalantly sidled up beside him and glanced at the hospital bill that he set aside on the side of the sink.

The man was wearing an exquisite, tailored suit, and he couldn’t bring himself to make direct eye contact. Instead, he stole a quick, furtive glance at the man through the mirror. To his astonishnt, he found himself locking eyes with a piercing gaze. Startled, he quickly averted his gaze and examined his reflection in the mirror, only to realize that his eyes were red and swollen.

The last thing he could recall was catching a glimpse of the man’s sudden movent, and then everything went blank. As he reached into his suit pocket, his fingers brushed against a crumpled note. Retrieving it, he unfolded the paper and read the three words hastily written.

’For the clothes.’

The man’s hand instinctively reached into the right pocket of his slightly oversized pants, trembling as he extracted a wad of cash consisting of 5000K denomination bills. There were 50 of them.

He quickly took off his suit, draped it over his left arm, and left the restroom in a rush. He was puzzled by the man’s actions and couldn’t comprehend why he had swapped his shabby clothes for his nice suit. Nevertheless, he felt imnse gratitude towards the man - he was like an angel to him. With the money, he’d be able to afford his wife’s much-needed surgery. He would find him in the future to return his suit and the money.

At the Uropa International Airport, a tall man wearing dark blue jeans, a black polo shirt, and white rubber shoes was queuing in the immigration while silently observing the passengers lining up with him.

It was the crack of dawn, and the airport was relatively quiet, but the immigration process seed to be moving at a sluggish pace. The immigration officers were ticulously inspecting each passenger, posing nurous inquiries before allowing them to pass through.

"Why are they doing the checking manually? This will take forever to finish." A fat woman with blonde hair grumbled in front of the tall man.

"It is probably because of the hostage incident yesterday, which is still unresolved until now." The thin man, who was probably her husband, uttered.

The man in the black shirt grinned slyly as he observed the couple. They stood side by side, resembling the number 10 in proximity and size.

The man was startled by the immigration officer’s stern voice, which caused him to jerk. He quickly made his way to the window and nonchalantly handed his travel docunt to the stern-looking immigration officer.

David Drake Knight. That was the na on his travel docunt. That was his true identity. He arrived in Uropa a month ago as a tourist to watch the Battle of the Titans. He was a Usturian citizen, and his destination was Usturia.

The officer focused the cara on him and compared it with the photo of the man on the hold departure list.

The software he was using was very advanced. It could scan the person’s retina and determine if the person was wearing a hyper-realistic or prosthetic mask. Other than the facial shape, there was no similarity between the two persons.

He returned the travel docunt to the man, whom David Drake Knight accepted with a smile. The smile sohow softened his fierce features. He called the next passenger.

As Drake finally erged from the immigration area, he strolled casually towards his gate, trying not to show any signs of urgency despite knowing that he was running late. He realized that the other passengers had already boarded the plane. With a quickened pace, he made his way down the jet bridge, knowing that he was the last one to board.

He was seated beside the couple he saw earlier, the thin man and fat woman. He threw them a casual glance and occupied the remaining empty seat.

The fat woman was beside him, fidgeting. "What is taking so long? We are already delayed by ten minutes."

"Can you relax? What’s the hurry? We are already in the plane." The thin man said impatiently.

Drake was seated on the aisle, facing the tail of the plane. He frowned when he noticed a steward approaching them.

"Excuse , our captain wants to speak with you."
