Chapter 296: Back At The Palace

Amaya successfully evaded a near collision. The other car was a blue Porche, followed by an Audi.

"Damn it! Are those two cars racing?" Dave cussed.

"Isn’t it obvious? It is a good thing that Amaya expertly dodged, otherwise we collided with them." Julienne glanced at Amaya in the driver’s seat. Her gaze was full of admiration.

"I didn’t know that you are so good at driving now, Princess! How did you learn so fast?"

"it is not that hard to drive. I just learned, by watching and reading tips from the famous racers." Amaya replied nonchalantly.

"Racers!" Julienne mumbled and thought of sothing.

"How about we race?" She asked expectantly. Julienne was among the top ten racers in Uropa.

Marx turned around and glared at Julienne. She felt a chill run down her spine.

"Why not? We can do it when were are not busy." Amaya replied after glancing at Julienne.

"Princess, don’t take it seriously, I was just joking. I don’t know how to race." She lied.

Amaya was driving at the maximum speed allowed on the highway. They reached Maharlika Palace in no ti.

Marx and Dave headed straight to Villa 1 while Julienne occupied one of the guest rooms in the main palace.

Amaya took a shower. After getting into her pajamas, she went into the adjoining study and started sketching the portrait of Ibrahim. The day after tomorrow will be her father’s birthday.

Ibrahim was only forty-two when he died. He was still young and at the pri of his life.

Amaya closed her eyes and tried to picture her Daddy in her mind. Her hand moved swiftly across the canvas as an outline of a man with a perfectly sculpted jawline appeared on the paper.

She thought of her Daddy Ibarra and tried to picture how Ibrahim would look like at forty-five by referencing Ibarra.

Amaya held the brush for a long ti. While Ibarra was her father’s twin, their eyes were not the sa. Ibrahim’s eyes always looked gentle when he was looking at her or the portrait of her mother. But Amaya knew that her father’s eyes were deep and piercing. When you looked into it, it seed that his two orbs could see through your soul.

Amaya hesitated. In the end, she drew her Daddy’s eyes with a gentle gaze, just the way she rembered him.

After she completed the sketch, she used oil as the dium for her painting. Amaya did not stop until she finished the portrait of a ruggedly handso man, with thick but neat eyebrows that arched perfectly above his eyes. His slightly wavy hair cascaded to his shoulders and gave him a more masculine look. He did not have a beard or a mustache.

Amaya lovingly caressed the face of the man in the painting. A lone tear drop escaped from her eyes.

"I missed you terribly, Daddy." She whimpered before exiting her study and sprawled in her queen-size bed.

The following day, Amaya returned to Asteria Palace. She arrived early to join her family at breakfast.

Lilia excitedly t her at the entrance and took her small luggage.

"It has been a long ti, Princess. The palace felt loneso without you."

Amaya just smiled at her. Lilia was like a breath of fresh air. She was bubbly and her happy personality lifted Amaya’s spirit.

"You can follow

whenever I go to my place. However, my schedule is unpredictable."

"It is alright, Princess. I can stay here and take care of your room so it is clean when you co back." Lilia chattered happily.

"Are they in the dining room?" Amaya chose to arrive at the ti when breakfast was being served. She wanted to eat with her family.

"Yes, Princess! The King and the Queen are also in the dining hall."

Princess Amaya hastened her steps. The mont she entered the dining hall, everyone beca excited.

"Greetings Grandpa, Grandma, Daddy, Aunt Nelida, and cousins!" Amaya’s cheerful voice echoed inside the dining room.

"Big Sister, you are finally back!" The little boy with curly hair ran toward Amaya to greet her but he tripped and fell face down on the carpeted floor.

"Look at you. Why did you run? You can simply wait for your sister to co over." Princess Consort Nelida snorted.

Amaya bent down to pick up the little boy sprawled on the floor.

Yohan’s tears were rolling down his face but there was no sound at all, not even a whimper. Even if the floor was carpeted he still hurt his nose and knees.

"Don’t cry Yohan. It is okay but next ti you should be careful." Amaya coaxed Yohan before putting him down on the floor.

The little prince wiped his tears with his hand.

When Amaya noticed that he stopped crying, she accompanied him to his seat and helped him sit down.

"Don’t spoil him, otherwise he will grow up without discipline." Amaya heard a harsh voice from her left side. Only then did she realize that her Aunt Nelida was sitting beside Yohan.

Amaya was still holding Yohan’s shoulder and she felt that the young boy trembled. She frowned. Why was Yohan scared of her Aunt Nelida?

Amaya chose not to say anything. She did not know how to answer the Princess Consort.

She walked toward Donello’s chair and greeted him with a pat on the back.

"Sister, you are so aweso! You won against the beasts of Ra-Iya. I watched that video a few tis and still, I could not understand how you were able to conquer those wild animals." The starry-eyed Donello stopped eating and started to blabber with Amaya.

Nelida and Danella cast him an angry look but he dismissed them with a shrug.

"Hurry and take your seat, Amaya, and start eating." Prince Ibarra spoke in his deep voice.

Amaya settled on her seat and started eating with the rest.

"Zanzara will be arriving today together with the King of Ra-Iya. She decided to arrive earlier as she wanted to discuss with you the orphanage that you promised to donate." King Duncan paused eating. His gaze focused on Amaya.

"Okay, Grandpa. I don’t have anything to do this afternoon so the timing is perfect." Amaya replied respectfully.

"Co to the study after breakfast. There is sothing I want to discuss with you."
