Chapter 273: Car Accident

"How about you, Miss Rocas? What are your thoughts?" Stephane’s gray eyes seed to bore into Amaya’s amber ones.

"I support lissa’s idea, Professor Gray." She answered without hesitation.

"Hmm," Professor Stephane humd then proceeded with the topics that he had prepared for the day.

A few minutes before the bell rang Stephane announced that as part of the University’s annual program on social responsibility, the entire class would go to a selected village, South of the Capital to help build a habitat for the locals whose houses were destroyed during the typhoon.

There would be a fundraising program and those who were interested could sign up.

Amaya and Julienne thought that it was a good program but they did not sign up. The volunteers for fundraising decided to hold a concert the following Friday. The trip to the village would happen after the concert.

The student council president requested to et with Princess Amaya after her class. He was the one organizing the fundraising concert and he thought that if the first princess of Lireya could participate, then the tickets would definitely be sold out like hot potatoes.

"Princess, I hope that you can perform. I am sure that many students are interested to see you sing and dance." The student council president looked at Amaya with a pleading look.

Amaya sized up the young man sitting across from her. Like most Lireyans, he has raven-black hair. His brows were thick and equally black. He has brown eyes and a high nose bridge. His upper lip was thinner compared to his lower lip. He has a shallow cleft chin that it wasn’t noticeable at first glance. He was a school hunk and Amaya could only agree.

"I can attend the concert but I will not be participating."

Amaya saw the disappointnt in the man’s eyes. She gave him a small smile.

"I will directly donate 10 million Lireyan Dollars to the fund," Amaya said casually.

The student council president was dumbfounded. He did not expect the princess to be so generous. But of course, the Princess of Lireya is very rich. Ten million is nothing for her.

Princess Amaya stood up after finishing her coffee.

"I am sorry, Council President. But I still have matters to attend to. Don’t worry, I’ll be attending the concert and will also be joining the trip to the village."

The student council president also stood up. He was beaming happily as he profusely thanked the princess.

"Are you sure you don’t want to perform in the concert? You played the guitar and sang beautifully during your birthday." Julienne increased her pace so she was walking side by side with Amaya.

"I have a lot of things to do. I don’t have ti to practice. I even have problems with attending classes now." Amaya said with a sigh.

"What happened to you when you were in Ra-iya? I saw the video that went viral. You and the boss were aweso in the arena. Though Boss Marx looked different, I know that it was him."

Of course, Julienne would never miss that aura that only Boss Marx could exude. She could feel it even if she was just watching from the screen.

"Soone sched against

and pushed

to the den of the tigers."

"You are a trouble magnet, Princess. Are you always like this?" Julienne tilted her head to look at her while they continued walking toward the gate.

Princess Amaya suddenly stopped. Co to think of it, when she was on the island, her life was very peaceful. So wild animals attacked her and wanted her for dinner but they never hid their killing intent and were never pretentious.

She looked at Julienne, as her complex emotion reflected on her face.

"Humans are very complicated beings and the human world is a jungle that I am having difficulty adjusting to."

Julienne was astounded by the profound words that Amaya uttered.

’What did she an by that? Did she an that the jungle and animals are better than humans and the society we live in?’

Before Julienne could react, the princess resud walking. They reached the main gate after five minutes.

A few n in civilian clothes were standing behind them silently watching over the princess.

Julienne was telling Amaya a funny story. The princess was giggling when a black off-road vehicle stopped before them.

Amaya waved goodbye to Julienne. A man from behind her suddenly flashed by and opened the passenger seat for her.

She nodded in acknowledgnt but did not go in. She walked around to the driver’s side and knocked on the car’s window. The window rolled down and after a few minutes, a handso man with black hair and blue eyes get out of the car.

He unwillingly went to the passenger’s side and entered the vehicle.

"Why would you like to drive when it is better to sit back and enjoy the ride?" Dave who was sitting at the back greeted her with this question.

Amaya glanced at him through the mirror.

"What’s up, Dave?"

She looked at Marx with an arched eyebrow.

"He said he wanted to co and we have so matters to discuss," Marx replied to her silent question.

Amaya did not say anything more. She started the car and stepped on the accelerator.

Dave’s heart skipped a bit. He scrambled to put on the seatbelt and even grabbed the handle at the top of the door fra.

"Princess, be mindful of the speed limit," Dave reminded her.

Marx on the other hand was sitting calmly on the passenger seat. His eyes were looking straight ahead and his lips were curled up in a half smile.

Amaya was driving at the maximum speed limit allowed on the busy city roads. But the mont the vehicle entered the highway, she floored the accelerator and the vehicle shot up like a bullet.

Their offroad vehicle overtook a lot of the cars until they ca behind a logging truck. Amaya slowed down when she noticed that the trailer that held the logs was swaying abnormally.

"Marx, sothing is wrong with the truck...."

Amaya had not finished her sentence when the logs rolled off from the trailer, heading in their direction.
